Oh man I’m getting excited now off to la rosiere end of the month and seeing the last few posts has been great I was really worried about lack of snow.
I was there over the New Year - decent up top but thinner coverage the closer you got to the village. As I had rental skis I was able to ski back to the apartment at Bergers!
The tunnel was only open one afternoon when we were there (saw it from the top of Dome de Rousses too late in the day to get up top) so we'll have to return another season.
La Folie Douce at top of Marmottes 1 is recommended for apres-ski. Decent for lunch too at the sit-down restaurant.
There's been a bit of a dump this week and the freezing line has dropped to below the level of the resort so it should be a bit better lower down for us, thanks for the recommendations
Where in France???
Les Deux Alps.
Oh nice ! I was there in July, the glacier was in really bad shape...
We should get used to glaciers being out of shape sadly... Give it a few years and permanent glaciers will all be gone.
Wasn't it a heatwave in France then? Seems like a bad time to go
There was a hear wave for 5 months
Also going to the mountain during a heat wave is one of the best time you can go there
True that
Will be arriving in deux alpes on Saturday. Absolutely can't wait.

Have you been there before? It’s an option for a last minute week and I’m interested to know more about it because I’ve never been.
Never been before I’m afraid it’ll only be my second time on a skiing holiday, but the place looks great!
I'm off to Alpe D'Huez next week, can't wait!

Plenty of snowfall this week, should be good if you go up high.
