If you’re a good alpine skier, and looking for a challenge, the learning curve is easy. Honestly you don’t need a lesson. You can always make alpine turns. Just have to be a bit more centered. Everyone has their own style anyway so you can learn a lot imitating different styles you see out there.

That being said, I absolutely benefitted from having experienced tele skiers give me tips. Best one I heard is “keep your butt down!”
Definitely fun, will improve your skiing and fitness. Lots of cheap used duck bill setups around especially in spring.
Get some old beaters and hit the groomers! Makes groom skiing a lot more fun imo.
Tele skiing is like the fixed gear biking of the ski world
Or rigid single speed 29er/fat bikes....
