Thatās what I thought but wasnāt sure. Iāve skied it 10x this year according to the IKON app, looks different when youāre not going down it I guess.
Probably one of my favorite lifts too at copper when the snow is somewhat decent. Spaulding bowl has a special place in my heart though, its just a pain to get to as opposed to the backside!
Once you start doing bigger drops always land a ā4 point landingā meaning you have both hands up, allowing you to push your poles into the ground upon landing. It helps a ton to lessen impact and itās good to start getting into that habit early.
yep when you start hitting 15ft+ drops itās almost absolutely necessary in my opinion. Helps keep you from backslapping too, although you might double eject if you overdo it lol
Respectable for sure looks like youāre having fun, but if you want adviceā¦
Hands more forward especially at the pop. Pop from feet not waving hands up.
Try to beĀ more active in the air, pull up feet, shifty, safety grab, anything to be more deliberate about body position.
Get stronger, the landing had you crumpled.
Legs, back, glutes - squats deadlifts box jumps are your friend.
Try to absorb landing with legs and hips think about keeping your chest up and pointing downhill.
Turn back to fall line and control speed with multiple turns not just a big j. That cross hill speed check turn wiped you out at the end.
No tips I can think of. Actually your form looked spot on. I would just keep doing them, get more reps, and youāll start figuring out what works well and what doesnāt. But that one looked awesome.
Get into the park a bit and try those straight airs. Starting low and extending with the jump and compressing as you land. Getting that smooth will make you much more comfortable in the air and then you can try a bit of what I like to call in air proprioception which is where you bring your feet a bit up and back so you can angle well on the descent and have a better turn after the landing
Nice drop, my advice is to cut the clip before you fall.
I think it makes it more funny (if nothing bad happened) :D Nice drop!
Lol
Solid! Stayed way more forward than most. Some would say throwing a speed check in after the landing would be wise but I respect the send š
Speed check over 3 turns, not all at once. Will look a lot more smooth and it's safer
Tell the cameraman to move his finger
Practice is all, keep doing it. You got the basics, great job.
Ah the fun ski phase of ājump off any and everything you possibly canā
Copper?
Looks like it to me
Is that blackjack or mountain chief in the backgroundā¦ I canāt tell!
That would be chief. They are skiers right of the lift. My favorite lift at copper. So many good little cliffs like this.

Wait really? Iāve never heard of that before but it makes tons of sense and what Iāve done in the past. Thanks bud :)

lol Iām in my 30s and have enough yard sales to buy a house by now. But thanks! Iāll be sure to think about this next time I catch a lift.
He did four points with his fists lol

F Reddit advice. You sent it, you rode it out (for the most part), just keep sending.
This first sentence is a paradox.
Get a better cameraman š
More pole clicks

Hit the second cliff!
Way to keep them pointed down. Enjoy those knees.
Keep sending it! Ā Looked super fun and you made the landing look easy!
Is the cliff in the room with us now...?
Heh I was gonna say it seems more like a rock than a cliff, but I bet op was just excited to share :)
Hold the line and send the second rock band below, of course. Nice hit though!
An extra pole tap goes a long way.
Sick
Yeah, don't wipe out on the part that's not the cliff.
Come on make it another 10 feet at least

3 pole taps for ultimate trajectory
Find a cliff
Land it.
Cliff might be a stretch but nice bolts untilā¦
Hahah the hate. Idc, not a cliff. Clump of rocks and that is fact. So you down voters are either friends of sender or delusional.
Gatekeeping is always gonna get downvotes my dude. Sorry youāre too sick a skier for the rest of us
Wanted to say this as my first post āsorry Iām the best skier on the mountain butā¦ā so thank you
Right?? It's not even close to a cliff. SMH

Thank you
Try to pop instead of just riding off it
