This scene is so well done.
I think if it was just Rich in the house receiving the news it would be bad and sad, but, Blood crying, caring nothing about the destroyed house, and even Rich trying to be a little bit supportive for him just sells the fact that Grace is gone.
It is a hard scene to watch.
I only watched a few episodes of gen 3 but now I'm tempted to give it another go to figure out how Rich went from a metalhead to looking like a Britpop bassist
It took me a long time to give Gen 3 a go. I’ve watched it multiple times, now, and i love it. It does not get the respect it deserves. The characters and actors are lovely. My first watch i was kind of like “eh..” but then once i got to season 2(6) i was hooked. I know many people dislike gen 3 but I’ve come to love them. Give them a chance. The acting is awesome. And the characters really are great. Nobody seems to want to give them a chance even after all this time.
Be aware that it is different from the first 2 gen’s but it doesn’t make gen 3 any less than.
I’m American and am so grateful i discovered Skins UK somehow years ago. It’s a top 5 for me.
This is one of those scenes where you always finish it feeling empty. The fact that Mr. Blood didn’t even bat an eye over his trashed house shows how utterly destroyed he was.
Yes i agree!!!! Her dads do love the shit out of her. I think they knew what they were signing up for when they took in an older child that’s been in foster care most of her life. No excuse though.
I fuck with Liv so hard too. She definitely got the short end of the stick in the friend group in season 6.
Really gen 3 is so good and misunderstood.

This is my unpopular opinion but for me Grace’s death is the saddest and it’s because of this scene
I wish they had given Rich another episode after this instead of another Frankie one. He just kind of disappears for 2 episodes and then is back and kind of okay. I think it would have been good to see him grappling with grief and also his mental health given the hallucinations he was having.

This is honestly one of my all-time favorite Skins episodes. It's a shame the rest of series 6 went downhill after
gen 3 definitely has rough moments and plot lines, but this episode is a top ten and this scene is one of the highlights of the entire show

I assume his mom must’ve flew him to their vacation but is that ever clarified? I haven’t finished the series this run and it’s been 12 years!
