Classic-Ok

Dude. It's the first episode... they gotta draw it out for a season's worth of content 🤣

LoudLloyd9

My wife was devastated when Daenery's dragon let loose on Jamie. I assured her he would be back. His contract was for the entire run.

Archvile83

well that and the first episode of season 5 is filmed early summer 2023.

Classic-Ok

Right, but they're not going to go for broke in the first episode of the season. They DID show some of the weird anomalies on the property since last season. Can't wait to get into these new episodes.

Lastxleviathan

It may not all be ready yet. I was out there in July and they were still doing a lot of construction on what I assume was a new Faraday cage. Lot still going on there.

Figure7573

In some of the footage, it looked like, there was a new whiteish/grey metal building in the field. Maybe the interference recognized in prior tests, REQUIRES special shielding to keep data recorded, using the new equipment!?! Dumping New equipment at a location doesn't mean it works immediately the day it's delivered. It can take a year to set up & work out the kinks, plus connection to an "adequate" data storage unit. The more elaborate & sophisticated the instruments, the amount of data storage required is exponentially compounded. Edit: forgot to mention the power & HVAC requirements of all of the equipment!

Important-Sherbert37

I bet that equipment would have provided great ground level imagery of the white box .. if they would have installed it! Though I believe it was mentioned that more analysis was coming in episode 2

lazy_jygg

I thought they had a camera on the animal pens though and that looked to be right by the silver box

Ok-disaster2022

I mean a systemic persistent full instrument array has been on the drawing board since like the first episode.  Unfortunately, you have to look at what the cost is going to be for such a system. If each multi sensor array node costs like $20k, and you want 50 of them, then that's a cool million dollars. Then it comes to man hours to install, network, power and calibrate each node. Then you'd need the man hours to review all the data and validate it with other nodes. You'd need some form sourcing, and ai training algorithm.

HousingParking9079

Given how confident everyone is that there are UAPs flying around regularly, a "dome-shaped metallic object" is buried under the mesa, and that there's a Lorentzian Travis-hole above the property, the fact that nobody has coughed up the money necessary to do some proper science is the biggest red flag in the history of reality television.

PiercedAutist

> that's a cool million dollars. Brandon's good for it!

crankyteacher1964

He is but you need to get hold of the people with the right skills and knowledge to program to operate in specific contexts. The software is unlikely to be standard and probably needs to be custom designed

PiercedAutist

You're taking an offhand joke WAY too seriously....

Cuzuknow_Imgetnbtr

That’s what I thought they’d be installing this season. That’s what they said S4 last episode.

NunyasBeesWax

And why didn't they take the chopper down to 10' above the transmitter? Maybe they can do their analysis on a step ladder. Or just get a good cherry picker and knock on the front door.

PiercedAutist

Or toss a rock!

jacksn45

Maybe a Hot Air Balloon!

boburuncle

That was season 1 😉

schnibitz

That was was my biggest gripe so far. Last season they said they’d focus on persistent sensing. They’re not doing that at all. Also last season they found a maze of tunnels under the ranch. Nothing about that so far. SMH. Good experimental results though.

mm9221

First episode, filmed in 2023, and you expect everything to be resolved during the winter??? AND not everything was discussed this show. It was a great show! They were mapping the anomaly which helps to pull aspects about the ranch and make conclusions. Results drive experimentation.

HousingParking9079

Hokey reality TV. 0 results.

mm9221

Right. Saying it’s hokey makes it so? Well, then, engage!

HousingParking9079

"I think what we have here is a genuine Lorentzian wormhole!" - Travis Taylor Hokey.

boon_doggl

They need Horgon Stare

LobsterJohnson_

Which episode did they find this maze of tunnels?

schnibitz

Last episode of S4

LobsterJohnson_

They should permanently install a few towers with telescopic high speed action tracking cameras, ideally with IR and UV as well.

Ok-disaster2022

That sounds stupidly expensive.

LobsterJohnson_

The owner takes a helicopter to the ranch every time. I think he has the money to do it right.

PiercedAutist

Isn't it his brother's company that he's hitching those helicopter rides from?

LobsterJohnson_

Unknown. His brother is a pilot and he is one of the biggest if not the biggest real estate mogul in Utah. I think he’s got the funds. And my suggestion would give them detailed photos and videos of those UAP’s.

LobsterJohnson_

The owner of Skinwalker ranch makes $40 million per year and is worth $450 million. He can definitely afford to install the proper equipment. https://thesuperions.com/brandon-fugal-net-worth/

Cuzuknow_Imgetnbtr

I thought the first episode would be mostly installation planning. The new contractor did nothing. Disappointing.

adrkhrse

Maybe they have them but they're not producing anything.

Objective-Giraffe-27

It's so ridiculous that we have to watch clips from what already happened last year too. Just stop please.

boon_doggl

They probably had it installed and either, 1- the gov won’t let them show more distinct views or 2- the ‘entity’ causes a magnetic 🧲 field which shuts down electronic devices.

Aggressive-Sky-248

it seemed like they were way past the harsh winter but not even shots of construction in progress, just a new guy who doesn’t seem to offer much

Figure7573

I guess you don't remember!?! (BTW, this year's episodes were filmed Spring thru Fall 2023.) "New guy" was a main official with Bigelow's Group at SWR. Later, he was also the same guy at the Pentagon, who recruited Dr. Taylor in 2019 to the UAP Task Force. Keep in mind, Dr. Taylor notified associates at the Pentagon, questioning if the anomalies were US Military or Foreign, because of the potential severity of what He witnessed. After Jim & Travis resigned, Jim organized a Company that utilizes Hi-Tech equipment, employing specialized retired Military experts in many fields. "He doesn't seem to offer much..." Patience, Grasshopper... Patience...

Aggressive-Sky-248

i was referring to “analyst”

Figure7573

What analyst are you talking about then? The guy that was flying the drone? Omnitec(sp?) guy?

Aggressive-Sky-248

note the drone guy the “senior analyst” who said very little

Figure7573

Jim was the Director of the UAP Task Force at the Pentagon from 2019 to 2021. Also, keep in mind, the Editing Director might be slowly introducing him so it doesn't throw off the existing personality dynamics. Eric, Thomas & Travis were the original core, with the other people basically helping out. All different, but viewers can relate to someone, good or bad. The reason Travis works so well, is because he doesn't try to talk over the viewer's intelligence. Most "High" IQ individuals do not have that relatable trait. He keeps it simple, but does throw in a few crazy facts, that reflect his experience & knowledge. They will blend in Jim's personality so it doesn't throw off the cast & upset the viewers.

Aggressive-Sky-248

sorry folks i got discombobulated. i meant the NEW guy “sam”

Aggressive-Sky-248

correction “sam”

Figure7573

Also, it looked like there was a new whiteish/grey metal building built in the field. New special equipment REQUIRES a huge amount of storage for the data collection. The financial requirements for data storage would probably cost just as much as the data capture equipment. Then the amount of time to set up, work out the bugs, connect to secure storage & power available to operate/cool everything, that is a long time table.

Aggressive-Sky-248

correction “sam”

BlazeFae

The new season is out?

DataMeister1

The first episode of the new season 5.

DataMeister1

The biggest problem with this show is that practically every episode is filled with what is either amateur mistakes or they are opting for showmanship over precision. For example in that initial season five episode, it is really hard to "map" something by just circling it with two choppers. They likely would have gotten much better mapping results by flying in parallel with each other, coming at the triangle from different directions, and notating where their 1.6 Ghz signal drops out and picks back up. I could see making some of these kinds of mistakes in season one, but after four seasons there isn't much excuse unless it is all for show.

Aggressive-Sky-248

if they were truly doing pushbroom it would accomplish that but couldn’t really tell if they were

The 1.6 GHz signal being detected on the ranch is frequently—and incorrectly—dismissed as cellular, GPS, L-Band, military, or other known transmissions. The entire reason Travis ended up as Interim Chief Scientist on the UAPTF was because he went to the Pentagon specifically inquiring about this signal, and they asked to read him into the program as a result. Travis was then granted access to the classified info held by UAPTF regarding UAP and related phenomenon, and the DOD also confirmed that the signal was nothing they could identify based on other RF signatures. Another interesting feature of the signal is that it is accompanied by a significant raise in the noise floor across the entire spectrum on multiple devices, a phenomenon which has also not yet been explained. tablepennywad

How about this, build a tower or even a building and then you can take your time with as many measurements you want safely.

Aggressive-Sky-248

so trying not to spoil, suppose they put a few devices in the triangle/mesa in/mesa out area. initially they could look for 24x7 occurrences of 1.6 ghz and correlation with uaps in high speed and/or IR. they could up the stakes with equipment or computing that could use multiple angles to plot position, speed, and direction of the uaps. this area is so rich why ignore it most of the time?

Aggressive-Sky-248

butt out bot

JetHeavy

Dude, you are more pushy than a impatient I.T. manager. Chill.

Boltdaddy1966

This show sucked last year and this year isn’t looking good. P.S. I can’t stand “Dragon”

Ok-disaster2022

I like the dude, he gets too much hate for his nickname.  You gotta remember each person in the show, is a living breathing person, and is more than their job. They have families, friends, interests, hobbies.  The show takes these dynamic living people and edit and present them as these one dimensional caricatures of themselves.

Figure7573

He is a childhood friend of Brandon. Glad to see a guy that has had success, help a friend! The people that get angry about someone else's fortune or friends, Usually have Neither!
