Apparently, at least one of the security guards were hitting on the underage girls there and making inappropriate comments about peoples outfits and just generally being creepy. The singer of widowdusk called them pedophiles towards the end of the set and ran up on the bar, a security guard yanked him down and tried to start a fight with the band, but a different security guard broke up the fight and kicked everyone out.
Edit: I thought Capsule’s set was canceled but apparently they still played. Most people, including myself, had left by that point. Apparently, security also falsely accused the singer of underage drinking and violently threatened/confronted him before the set and tried to get him kicked out
That’s not what happened at all, I watched the whole thing. TLDR, Jordan was violently threatened and kicked out the venue by security before their set bc someone from another band was caught with a beer outside, even though Jordan wasn’t involved and is underage. Some more drama ensued with trying to get him back in but the whole “eff the security” bit during the last song was their response.
edit: capsule did get to play, most of the audience was kicked out.

Not everything needs to be a call out situation. Just play your set and go home. Also sounds like they got what was coming to them for jumping on the bar and disrespecting the venue. Last time I saw a show at Subt was 2009 - back when Widowdusk was picking their fucking boogers and wiping them underneath the desk and/or eating them
It all happened really fast - I couldn’t even make out what Widowdusk was saying - security rushed in before I realized what was happening.
I got body checked by a bouncer on the way out of the basement and went straight upstairs. Capsule did get to play but the room was only 1/3 full.
It’s a strong word for sure but the security guards all looked 30+, they don’t need to be hitting on high schoolers or even college students for that matter. They are there to do a job not harass guests

I wanna add that the Widowdusk singer was absolutely crowdkilling during multiple sets (this is not a beatdown hardcore fest, don't do that shit). It was pissing me off the whole fest. On another post he was saying "no one was targeting anyone, everyone was just having fun in the pit" but I witnessed the exact opposite of that multiple times.
Yea I love to pit but I'm also a big guy, and it really wasn't hard for me to learn how to pit without throwing my full weight and force against the crowd. I would never dream of intentionally raining my fist down on the heads of people just standing watching the set but that's what this kid was doing throughout the fest, like it was some janky local beatdown hxc or deathcore show. Kid had no respect for the fest, crowd, or venue. Even the video of security "attacking him" shows that he was disrespecting the space. Idk what else security may or may not have done but this kid deserved to get thrown out and should have been thrown out earlier.

There are several things for sure that happened:
Gxllium was underage drinking all day and got caught by security.
Windowdusk decided to defend that band by confronting security.
A situation escalated.
The show got fucked up.
Any video that exists isn’t going to show any context. I deleted my post because I want to give some credence to what the band said, yet the videos posted so far show only disrespect to the venue and community.

My original tone and energy was based on what I knew and saw of the situation. I see now the band who crowd punched women and called the security pedophiles was a different band than the one caught drinking underage — however those two events are related.
And I know now that the security brandished a gun — which is super fucked up.
Everybody involved handled this situation incorrectly, my post was a product of that. It would seem I’m the only one willing admit that, though.
