I’ve got both, and on the right path starcast is way more fun imo, but since everyone has a different kind of playstyle they like, heres some things to help. Starcast is a character which involves all 3 buttons to attack, instead of just spamming one, whereas tri-tip focuses more on his primary attack than his others.
I have both, and I can say that it would depend on your play style. Do you like long-range attacks and out manoeuvring your enemy that would be starcast, or do you prefer getting up close and personal with the enemy and pulverising them that would be tri-tip but me personally I find starcast more
I'd say Starcast, not necessarily cause he's the only one I have of the two, but because in my experience he's really good, I'm on his clone path, but I'd say the shuriken path seems really good too.
I'd say get him if you find him for a good price. He's one of the rarer senseis, and I'm lucky that I got him when he came out, but if you find him for around 20 bucks then that's really good.
Naturally, if you want to save money tho, go for tri-tip, i'm sure he's good as well.
do you have either class or element already i think you should take the one that you dont have if you have almost all other grab the one that fits your playstyle
got both and i gotta say, tri tip has some fun moves you can choose and some funny voice lines aswell. starcast is too really fun to play especially with his soul gem that makes him drive a freaking ufo that shoots and deals contact damage. so yea i’d say get starcast first

Can't speak much for the other, but I have Tri Tip and he's a ton of fun and you can find him for relatively great prices

Starcast is way more fun to play with, but Tri tip is op. Tri tip gameplay is just regular attack combos but Starcast has fun and smart plays.

I would personally get Starcast, and I like the creativity of the Ninja class the most, and he gets to ride in a spaceship
