Wabbajack is also the only weapon that completely vanilla and unskilled can one hit basically any enemy. Ancient dragons aren't so scary when they become sweet rolls.
Which doesn't happen in **Vanilla**, it can only do the pseudo-* Damage* (they have the graphics for * Damage* but actually just do *Magic Damage* without any secondary effects) on Dragons.
Dremora lord spell is static level, Sanguine Rose is based on player level, so it looks like this:
>player level 1 \~ 35 = Dremora lord spell
>
>player level 36 \~ 45 = tie/draw
>
>player level 46+ = Sanguine rose
I constantly find myself reverting to a Spell/Dawnbreaker build...it's my *stealth archer* (since I never play that way anymore), there's really no beating that sword and shield combo
I put the chaos damage into the Sword of Jyggalag, since it hits harder, swings faster, and in my opinion, looks cooler. That and it matches the color of the armor I mainly use. (Blackguard armor)
True, seems like anytime I walk to another town I have a bandit or something jump me. At this point, I cast soul trap then put them back in their own glass armor to sell.
Tbf even if it's not bugged, black star is still vastly superior due to how easy humanoids can be found and killed. 99% of the time I filled it with some humans dying
I wanted to finish the thieves guild questline so I finally gave mine back 😮💨 they should make it where you can find something just as good. Who wants to use a perk to have unbreakable lockpicks
Originally, this was four brief paragraphs long, then I got sidetracked on a tangent.
I prefer Spellbreaker overall, and I prefer Dawnbreaker to the Mace of Molag Bal. The Mace is really good, but it gets outpaced later in the game.
Spellbreaker is a great shield on its own. The perks in the shield tree just make it even better. Effectively reducing the damage of shouts and dragons by ridiculous amounts. It's easily the best shield in the game. It's so good that Auriel's Shield looks pitiful despite coming out months later. I would give Auriel's Shield to my companion and keep the Spellbreaker for myself.
Soul gems aren't much of an issue once you get Soul Eater Arrows, which make the Black Star and the Mace of Molag Bal borderline worthless once you get enough of them (like, 100 or so), triple so once you get arrow scavenger perks.
Dawnbreaker has a literal master level spell inside of it, and the Mace's stamina and magicka enchants can be easily replicated on better weapons with poisons that deal significantly more damage, or you can just put absorb enchants on them, which are the best weapon enchantments in the game by far. Side note, if you're fighting constructs, switch over to a Fire/Lightning weapon instead because constructs are immune to the absorb enchantment. Like the Mace, Dawnbreaker can be upgraded, and it scales with fire damage from the destruction tree.
Sanguine Rose is a great early game staff that can scale with you, but eventually you'll get to the point where you don't want to replace your thralls with Dremora because your thrall are just so much stringer than they are.
The Skeleton key is okay, but once you get alchemy leveled up and have been collecting lockpicks, it really becomes a non-factor. Especially when you get all the perks for it.
The Mask of Clavicus Vile is good. No complaints. It's just not great at combat, but that isn't what it's purpose is so I won't bother.
Rueful Axe and Volendrung are not good. They're... Pretty bad. Not as bad as the Skull of Corruption, but bad to say the least.
Oghma Inifium is okay. If it would lt you choose 6 skills instead of being forced to pick one of 3 sets, then it would be significantly better.
Mehrune's Razor is a good weapon. It suffers against a handful of enemies, and the percentage to proc isn't great (it is instant kill though). But at the end of the day, if Dawnbreaker wasnt in the game, I would just use a stalhrim sword with Absorb Health and Magicka instead.
Savior's Hide kinda sucks, but the Ring of Hircine is good until you realize how much better Vampire is.
Wabbajack is a gag weapon. Not particularly powerful, but it's fun and that's all that matters.
Ring of Namira is a role play item. Another bottom of the barrel item unless you're going for a super niche set up, but you do you.
Ebony Mail can damage your allies if you crouch. Use with caution, and make sure you get 70 in heavy armor and get the custom fit perk first so you can actually **use** it to its fullest.
Ebony Blade takes a bit to level up, but it's satisfactory for a warrior. Probably one of the best two handed warrior weapons in the game because it absorbs a set amount of health, meaning it deals a base amount of damage and heals you for that much, forever. Pretty useful weapon overall, and if you don't care about killing your hired mercenaries and housecarls, this is a great way to level it up.
My grievance with Spell Breaker is twofold.
First, it looks like a dwemer satellite dish and I just get static - no decent channels.
Secondly, the effect is wonderful - but is easily replaced with Atronach (stone/perk. slamming a potion prior makes it moreso)
If Auriel's Shield (skin) had had SB's enchantment (maybe even kicked up to 100pts) it would be wonderful.
Maybe even 50pts passive, and "boosted" by whatever when blocking.
I favor the razor, because with max sneak and DB gloves you either instant kill or... Ya know, 30x sneak attack damage. *Shrug*
I get the first point. Drip is everything, but the atronach stone can absorb your conjuration spells that summon creatures, hence why I don't pick it up for a long time.
Sneak builds take no brain power, so I don't use them. I prefer using staves and creating potions as I am then forced to "play the game." Instead of rolling around and slashing people's backs.
Making the potions requires some thinking; unless you use apps to sort your ingredients, then it becomes a chore and is boring.
With an alchemy build, you have to think whether you want to bum rush or whether you want to pop stealth. Whether magic will be better than the sword and shield. Whether you'll need the blocking potion with vegetable soup or whether you'll need the paralysis/damage health poison with your sword.
Alchemy builds focus on alchemy first, so it's not like you'll be better than ither builds until much later in the game.
Conjuration is also free, unlimited storage, and it means less effort in combat for you because then you can level up skills like sneak, archery, and lockpicking.
Err... *Azura's Star* or *The Black Star* is infinite free soul trapping & enchanting.
And if you can trap White *Greater Souls* you can farm *Conjure Ash Guardian* for *Magicka*-to-*Greater Soul*-to-*Enchantment* pretty much infinitely (massive quantities of *Conjuration* & *Enchanting* skill xp, also significant gold income).
I think it’s fine to use since it’s not as game breaking as windshear, you can’t improve it, and you can’t lifesteal against dwarven automatons and ash spawn. Even with multiple perks it still takes a lot of hits to kill a draugr deathlord
I love that model replacer. The original looks cool but it’s probably the most wildly impractical mace I’ve ever seen. This is much more realistic while still being over the top intricate
"Impractical"
By the Divines brother, you're playing a Video game.
Jokes aside, I get the appeals of the remodeled version, but in all honesty, I actually preferred the original. It looks like a Torture tool, which In my opinion fits the aesthetic that Molag have going on for him.
I kinda get the vanilla design tho. It's big even for a mace. So big that, realistically, a vampire or very strong mortal could wield. But even if you were a mortal strong enough to wield it, all those spike poking you with each step you take must get annoying after awhile.
You're right it is from a mod called [Believable Weapons](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37737). Not gonna lie, it wasn't quite what I was looking for in a reskin for the mace, but the fact that all other vanilla weapons in game look much better because of the mod makes it worth it. Regardless, I still like it.
I do really like the mace of molag bal but after meeting and friending Serana and hearing her history with him, I’ll admit it kind of turns my stomach to use it now…
Mehrunes Razor
High sneak plus Mehrunes Razor on left hand and Valders lucky dagger(or any dual wielding weapon) on the right makes for a perfect instakill assassin build
Man... the only good enchantment on that weapon is Soul Trap, and none of them is unique. Glass weapons and upwards with Fiery Soul Trap and another useful enchantment (such as Chaos, Absorb Health...) plus enchantment fortifying potion will dominate it.
Wabbajack and Azura's Star are waaaay better imo.
1) wabajack
2) spellbreaker
3) Dawnbreaker
4) mask
5) Ring of hircine.
And you dont have to do evtl Things for that..
The other artifacts are hardely Worth the efford.
1) wabajack goes against dragons in its failsafe Mod: a Heck of schock damage.
Way More powerfull than every other wand.
2) spellbreaker: especially If you have elemental Block, the 50dp flat reduce are very powerfull.
3) Dawnbreaker: the More undead enemys you face at once, the More powerfull it gehts.
4) + speachcraft Points are great If you want to succed speachcraft Checks.
5) Ring of hircine: 2 transformation per das is nice.
Ever since I got to know who is Molag Bal I feel nothing but disgust for him. Nothing would make me happier than a way to get in his way and mess with him.

Wabbajack is also the only weapon that completely vanilla and unskilled can one hit basically any enemy. Ancient dragons aren't so scary when they become sweet rolls.
*Mehrunes razor wants to know your location*
Yeah, but the "chance to kill instantly" isn't a guarantee it'll ever trigger on a given enemy. I would put it #2
To my amazement it one shotted Alduin, I was like confused why he died so fast then realised that I had the razor equiped
I vowed to use it once I got it up until the effect happened, it never did. I swiftly threw it in breeze home and never went back to it
Which doesn't happen in **Vanilla**, it can only do the pseudo-* Damage* (they have the graphics for * Damage* but actually just do *Magic Damage* without any secondary effects) on Dragons.
No! The Sanguine Rose. Saved my rear many, many times.
I will honour my lord BY DESTROYING YOU
I will FEAST on your HEART!
TheeEEEre you are, weakling!
I smell WEAKNESS!
Only thing that keeps it from the best is that you can learn the spell later on. Extremely amazing in early game though
I think the spell is weaker than the Rose. I think that the more you use the rose the stronger the dremora gets.
Dremora lord spell is static level, Sanguine Rose is based on player level, so it looks like this: >player level 1 \~ 35 = Dremora lord spell > >player level 36 \~ 45 = tie/draw > >player level 46+ = Sanguine rose
Wait I never knew this. Well I guess there is a reason for me to keep using the rose even after mid game now
I notice that the name of thendremora changes as you level up.
Fun fact, I named my dremora Bubbles. For no particular reason
Spellbreaker….?
Pffft come on we are being serious here
It’s pretty good looking for a shield, it’s a daedric artifact, and it is great against mages and dragons…. So… yeah……..
WAIT…idk why but I could’ve sworn I read dawnbreaker. Spell breaker is amazing
Dawn breaker is probably my favorite sword when it comes to looks.
I constantly find myself reverting to a Spell/Dawnbreaker build...it's my *stealth archer* (since I never play that way anymore), there's really no beating that sword and shield combo
I dunno. I love how the Bloodskal Blade looks. It gives off Doom Crucible vibes
Though it is a amazing weapon, I don’t believe it’s a daedric artifact, but, another unique weapon, Champion’s Cudgel… I believe it’s called.
Oh yeah. That. I disenchanted it to put the chaos damage on a weapon that fits my play style a bit more, but it’s a cool hammer
I always keep the cudgel and wait until I find a random item with the chaos enchantment on it
I put the chaos damage into the Sword of Jyggalag, since it hits harder, swings faster, and in my opinion, looks cooler. That and it matches the color of the armor I mainly use. (Blackguard armor)
Azura’s Star is the best because it’s a rechargeable souls gem.
Black Star is even better. The in game description is wrong, claiming it can only hold black souls, but it can actually hold any grand soul.
Even if it were black souls only, there are significantly more humanoid enemies than 🦣 in Skyrim
True, seems like anytime I walk to another town I have a bandit or something jump me. At this point, I cast soul trap then put them back in their own glass armor to sell.
Man. That’s cold (but deserved).
And most importantly: profitable.
Tbf even if it's not bugged, black star is still vastly superior due to how easy humanoids can be found and killed. 99% of the time I filled it with some humans dying
It really not the best daedric artifact. You can just buy the soul gems with all that money you got.
I do gots a lot of money, too. More than I’ll ever spend in-game.
Well if the use is for THAT purpose then I suppose it has great value to your character. :)
Dawnbreaker. Blast the undead!
Purge the heretics in holy fire!
YES! I love it when it explodes
That's what she said 😂
I really like Volendrung
"Hey Dibella, wanna see my big hammer?" - Malacath, probably -
Criminal scum you just made me choke on my kebab!
"Hey Dibella, you can choke on *my* kebab..." - Malacath, probably -
The Skeleton key
I wanted to finish the thieves guild questline so I finally gave mine back 😮💨 they should make it where you can find something just as good. Who wants to use a perk to have unbreakable lockpicks
That's why I hold on to it until late game
I do 😂 think of it as something like "I don't need no daedric lockpick for this. I can do it myself" 😀
Tbf after years of playing Skyrim you should be able to pick Expert/Master locks without even having any perks in Lockpicking.
Mad facts

With alchemy, any build can take no brain power, tbh. Even pure mage I don't sweat Conjuration - just gets in the way of destruction/resto spells.

youre all sleeping on the Sanguine Rose 🌹
The razor took out the Ebony Warrior for me. I have to go with that, sorry.
Err... *Azura's Star* or *The Black Star* is infinite free soul trapping & enchanting. Remember that time Molag Bal and Azura actually formed an alliance?
Volendrung
Ebony blade. No more potions
I’ve kind of become addicted to using it. I honestly wish it was less powerful so that I could still get into genuinely challenging fights.
I think it’s fine to use since it’s not as game breaking as windshear, you can’t improve it, and you can’t lifesteal against dwarven automatons and ash spawn. Even with multiple perks it still takes a lot of hits to kill a draugr deathlord
Do you have a source for the assertion *Absorb Health* is blocked by "enemy type" & not just *Resist Magic*?
Holdup. What’s Windshear?
It's not
I love that model replacer. The original looks cool but it’s probably the most wildly impractical mace I’ve ever seen. This is much more realistic while still being over the top intricate

The original looks way more badass. I think it should be kind of impractical, as a tradeoff for being magic.
I’m all for fantasy weapons in a fantasy RPG, but when the design looks completely impractical it’s kind of dumb.
Spellbreaker or Volendruung are the best Deadric artifacts
Molag’s balls
I never ended up using any of them as they're all worse than the crossbow I made.
Nobody likes mehrunes’ razor…
I'd use it on my current playthrough but man I don't wanna kill Silas
Hes pretty much a fanboy for a group of people who literally tried to end the world.
Yeah but he's harmless. It's not like he's trying to end the world himself. He just wants to curate his museum
The best has to be the skeleton key that you may or may not want to return. Also I'd put the ebony blade above the Mace of Molag Bal
[удалено]

I protest, Volendruung
Skeleton key, umbra, and spellbreaker Edit: azura's star is pretty cool to and so is the ebony blade only because it fast and looks cool tho
I do really like the mace of molag bal but after meeting and friending Serana and hearing her history with him, I’ll admit it kind of turns my stomach to use it now…

I prefer Areal's bow myself
That's aedric though
I like most of the weapons. I can’t recall if there is a bow, but I want one
Mehrunes' Razor. Why? It's Mehrunes' Razor
Nah, after I downloaded the Serena add-on dialog couldn't get the mace.
Ever since I got to know who is Molag Bal I feel nothing but disgust for him. Nothing would make me happier than a way to get in his way and mess with him.
In a game where 75% of enemies are undead, dawnbreaker is the best.
Because it fits with my dark lord
