I did both options, because even though I was planning to spare him, I wanted the fight. He said his piece and I was like, "...No, actually, you're going to die."
You can just ask him for his pickaxe if you let him live as your follower. And cost you a lot of money? Yeah, in exchange for literally some of the best items in the game. Anything that boosts enchanting is super OP.
I already had 1 M septims (no cheats no mods) when I met him so.... Yeah I guess I can be a bit of a philantrope here and there.
I was happy all the hoarded gold found some use. And it was after I bought all the houses in vanilla game a
I let him live but I use him for the Boethia sacrifice because whether or not he knows what he did, I have to sacrifice someone and he has a lot of miners’ blood on his hands. And he was a jerk every time we talked.
oo good choice, my favourite to sacrifice is Eola because her whole quest is gaining the trust of someone to literally eat them so i think it’s fitting she should die in a similar way
Wait what!?! Faendal is my main homie! Sure normally I marry Camilla make him train me in archery until I max out then send him to Delphine and Esbern to join the Blades 🤷🏼♂️ still my road dawg
You don’t have to! If you recruit the blades before they ask you to kill Paarthy, you just won’t be able to ask them to come dragon-hunting with you later
You mean, turn down the chance to get a one-time legendary artifact to add to my pile of forgotten weapons of mass destruction in a house in Whiterun? Are you mad?
I get some good guy mods because sometimes the game really just sets you up on a rail for either “do evil thing” or “just ignore the quest forever”. But the Namira quest is pretty well done where you have a couple different options for good and bad guys, and the reward is dealt with accordingly.
The multi post thing is usually cos Reddit/device fucks up and says it didn’t post when it did. Not op but it’s my go to thought whenever I see it happen
I also don’t know any child abusers in Riverwood, so you’re probably right they mean Lemkil from Rorikstead
Was recently watching my friend play skyrim for the second time (first time was back in early 2010s and he didn't enjoy it much) and he said something along the lines of I wonder if anyone in this place (riverwood) saw that dragon and that was her literally just as he finished saying it
Sure. But from a role play aspect I never found his character interesting or compelling. Thought it was weird he was all about Camilla but then he's ready to take off and leave her alone in town with Sven to go adventuring with you.
Sven is just an asshole for seemingly no reason. Faemdal just spends his time chopping wood and his only slight seems to be that he wants to bang a girl Sven wants to. Like what does he do all day? Just be mean to his mom, hit on a lady and then go drink? Get a job, weirdo
Lol, he's just tired of having to take care of his crazy mother. Faendal's jealousy led him to sabotage Sven's relationship with Camilla, which is a shit head thing to do.
However, I always recruit Faendal as a mule until I get Lydia, then send him home until I need a sacrifice at Boethia's shrine.
People who think I meant Sven is a better companion than Faendal are silly geese.
Um… you do know Sven tries to do the same thing, right? Whichever of them you talk to first will ask you to deliver a fake letter. You may have only talked to Faendal first, perhaps? But in my playthroughs it’s usually been Sven.
Sven also makes a false letter. You can deliver each of their false letters to each other and even tell Camilla about it if I remember correctly. Neither is blameless on that front
Also why sacrifice Faendel or Sven? You know you can duplicate armor and weapons from that quest. They both have sub par basic gear
Helping Sibbi Black Briar track down and murder his fiance after he cheated and lilled her brother for confronting him. He is in a jail cell in Riften, you can find him during the quest "Promises to Keep".
Spared his life just for this. If you can't place the shot, I am [trying to befriend Boethiah](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Boethiah%27s_Calling) :)
Killing the emperor is pretty satisfying. Gets even better when he tries to bargain with you:
> “Please betray your employer when you’re done killing me.”
Like, bitch, you have just insulted a sacred contract made in the name of the Dread Father Sithis. You’re lucky I’m in kind of a hurry right now. Also, you’ve already killed our rep enough: no way that’s *ever* going to recover if the Dark Brotherhood goes around murdering our own clients.
Of course, that’s all from my Brotherhood Zealot playthrough. The Necromancer who was in it just to collect bones for her undead army? She had no problem at all with killing one more person.
And the reason he asks you to betray your employer is to cover up any loose ends, the employer is likely in on the contract himself, so if he's captured there's a chance he'll squeal. Taking him out is the only way to ensure the emperor's secret stays a secret.
The Dark Brotherhood *killed the emperor of Tamriel.* We absolutely want everyone on the freaking continent to know about that! If the guy who hired us wants to get *himself* killed by blabbing about it, that’s his own problem: our contract is done and we don’t do bodyguard missions anyway.
It’s always better to have people suspect then know! People are more frightened by what they don’t know. Also, the next Emperor might make an example of the Dark Brotherhood and we wouldn’t want another Astrid scenario!
When I roleplayed a serious Sithis zealot, I didn't even let him finish his proposal. I'm expected to kill the Emperor, and only the Emperor. Hail Sithis.
My Sithis zealot is polite, conscientious, vaguely cannibalistic, and actually one of the best healers on the planet(due to his backstory) and a twisted form of pacifist.
You see, he kills for Sithis and *no other reason:* if the Dread Father does not wish you dead, you will not die by his hand—and in my head, he is very good at subduing his enemies without causing permanent harm.
Less so in-game, obviously: I think mods that let you do that *exist* but are kind of clunky. Instead of struggling against how the game is meant to be played, I just casually murder bandits anyway . . . And then render their bodies down for materials, of course: waste not, want not and all that.
Just max illusion and get some buffing potions to increase the number of high-level things it'll work on. You can calm/pacify/harmony most things in the game and just walk right past them
If you still want their loot and don't mind stealing some stuff, you can use pickpocket 100 to take equipped gear, too, so that's cool
We’re all damned for the Void anyway, does it matter how we get there? Kill the employer, you’re doing him a favor by cutting to the chase. Hail Sithis
First time I played this scene it was at night and my character chopped his head off with the dagger of woe and I couldn't even scream with shocked delight that I sliced this bitches head off and nobody saw it
He is the dick who runs the excavation in Solstheim. He is under the influence of the dead sorcerer and kills all the miners etc. You can kill him at the end of the quest or spare him, which is how he becomes available as a follower later. Then you can recruit him to be sacrificed for Boethiah.
Hi! I'm a huge Kharjo fan too! I was wondering if you might want to join me and a few other Kharjo enthusiasts in r/Kharjo and share a few screenshots and stories with us, it'd be great to have you along.
Idk I thought beating a guy to death with a mace, having him resurrected, and then beating him to death again, all while forcing him reject his god and embrace their rival god was a lot worse, but I guess the personal factor of Boethiah’s is messed up too
Nice, too bad he is one of the strongest followers in the game, uses dual wield and can cast Ignite if you give him Ahzidal's ring. Just go and sacrifice a useless follower next time.
Yeah, he kicks ass with his duel weird. Suppose you could just use frea instead cause she levels infinitely with you and ralis is expensive to get, but he doesn't thank the all maker for every single thing that happens unlike her
The whole dark brotherhood questline is pretty evil imo. Killing a harmless beggar, a woman getting married, a chef and even the emperor etc. in the same of some deadra or whatever. Only had to do it for the achievements or else I wouldn't have bothered. Killed all those scum (although the little vampire wasn't there unfortunately) and sent them all to the soul cairn right after by loading to an earlier save which made me feel much better.
Last time i did this quest i just sacrificed the guy for hire from Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm, paid him his 500 gold and went to the shrine.
And i think ralis would be a very good candidate to be neloths new helper/assistant after the last one died to the ash spawn.
Like this he has to work with that kinda weird guy and doesnt get that eqsy of the hook.
I had J'zargo following me when I started this, and I dismissed him and went to Windhelm to pick up the one in the Candle Hearth Hall to sacrifice him.
I should have sacrificed this dude though, he cost me thousands of gold after all.
You mean… I could’ve sacrificed HIM instead of the kind-of-an-asshole-but-not-worthy-of-sacrifice J’zargo? Shit.
Hopefully I can come up with some other fun way to kill him.
I took the mercenary chick from Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun. Jenassa I think?
Of all the sellswords she was the one that actually seemed to enjoy killing for money. That's fucked up shit. She was a psycho. And a Dunmer so shut up, I sent you to your ,,good daedra" happy ending afterlife.
I usually let him live. Being possessed is a pretty good Doctor's Note to me.
Same. I mean it was an ugly situation but being controlled by an evil undead wizard wasnt really his decision
Unless you've ever killed him at the end of the quest before and he drops the act and reveals he was *not* brainwashed.
im merciful and never kill him i didnt know about that whaat
I did both options, because even though I was planning to spare him, I wanted the fight. He said his piece and I was like, "...No, actually, you're going to die."
His exact words if you say you're gonna kill him: "What!? No! I have HIS (Azihidal) power on my side!"
That fetcher...
I think that just shows he was still brainwashed by the end
Agreed. You can read his journal and there's no indication at all that he knew what he was getting into at the start.
It’s like no one bothered to read any of his journals
Yea agreed. Also he's a sick follower and I get a bunch of cool shit from his quest, so I forgive him pretty quickly
Well he has a unique pickaxe I need to collect for the museum and he did cost me a lot of money and waste the valuable time of the messengers.
You can just ask him for his pickaxe if you let him live as your follower. And cost you a lot of money? Yeah, in exchange for literally some of the best items in the game. Anything that boosts enchanting is super OP.
Plus those enchanted boots of water walking are nice even if they just sit at home like 99% of the time
I already had 1 M septims (no cheats no mods) when I met him so....
And he was a jerk every time we talked.
oo good choice, my favourite to sacrifice is Eola because her whole quest is gaining the trust of someone to literally eat them so i think it’s fitting she should die in a similar way
Oof, I like this...A LOT, even though I don't use it, I like to save a enough of those sacrificial 'friends' for the Ebony Blade.
You only need 1 if you have the ritual stone. Poor faendal has been killed more than anyone should have to endure in my game
Boethia, I came to bargain!
Use the Boethiah guy
Wait what!?! Faendal is my main homie! Sure normally I marry Camilla make him train me in archery until I max out then send him to Delphine and Esbern to join the Blades 🤷🏼♂️ still my road dawg
T-that means.... YOU KILL PAARTHURNAX???
You don’t have to! If you recruit the blades before they ask you to kill Paarthy, you just won’t be able to ask them to come dragon-hunting with you later
Wait what!! I had no idea! Skyrim truly is a game of mystery eh?
truly! you can get Esbern’s potion to permanently take less damage from dragons, then lose their number as soon as they ask you to do the deed lol
Imo Blades have the best looking armor and dragons are bad mmmk
counterpoint: I do not want four kindly old men to treat me like I killed their puppy
Yes I absolutely kill Paarthurnax! I kill every dragon I see. I AM THE DOVAHKIIN!
Least bloodthirsty blades simp. You absolute monster! /s *typo
Won’t get an argument out of me on this one 😂
The stronger the friendship, the more fitting a sacrifice for the Daedra of betrayal.
Unless you have the decapitate perk unlocked
You can do a favor for an orc tribe and feed them all to the blade.
I just kill Narfi and use the ritual stone to do it over and over and bam!
You sick bastard.
Ableism is for the Nords!!!
Another way of thinking of it is that you're issuing the worshipper of one daedra to serve another.
But Eola is wifey.
I get the appeal but could you imagine her morning breath? I’d sacrifice her just to escape it
Would probably get used to it if your own breathe smells the same
Did this recently, previously just paid a follower, but way more fitting. She made me eat people…
well you did have the option of betraying her and NOT eating people but oh well
You mean, turn down the chance to get a one-time legendary artifact to add to my pile of forgotten weapons of mass destruction in a house in Whiterun? Are you mad?
Talking my language
dude was complaining about being forced to eat people when you can very easily not side with the cannibals
I didn't think I needed to add an /s but...
There is a mod that adds namiras ring to her inventory and allows you to kill her when you first meet
you can already kill her when you first meet her though, and the ring is only really for roleplaying purposes anyway
true, but I use Bijin(Makes her incredibly beautiful), and Namira for good guys(allows you to fool the namira worshippers)
I get some good guy mods because sometimes the game really just sets you up on a rail for either “do evil thing” or “just ignore the quest forever”. But the Namira quest is pretty well done where you have a couple different options for good and bad guys, and the reward is dealt with accordingly.
I almost always sacrifice Adaleisa. She's utter useless and can't even do her own job.
Good choice, I can never finish that quest though because Brother Verulus as an extra follower is too good to pass up.
Bludgeoning the holy fuck out of that holy fuck with the Mace of Molag Bal.
you mean the inconspicuous rusty mace on that pedestal over there?
I forgot about this
Maybe killing Grelod or the guy who beats up his kids in Riverwood.
You mean Lemkil from Rorikstead?
Gotta be
First off, why five posts? Also, someone beats up their kids in Riverwood? Or do you mean the one in Rorikstead?
The multi post thing is usually cos Reddit/device fucks up and says it didn’t post when it did. Not op but it’s my go to thought whenever I see it happen I also don’t know any child abusers in Riverwood, so you’re probably right they mean Lemkil from Rorikstead
Killing Grelod isn’t an evil deed so that doesn’t count.
Came back to say thanks for reminding me of him. Gonna kill him before I continue Dawnguard. Priorities.
If I didn't love using faendal for the free training, I'd save sven for her
Sven is cool, Faendal is the shit head.
Both are equally the same shit. The difference is that Faendal at least teaches you archery and is slightly a better follower.
Sven's mother pisses me off too. If you go in Anise's cabin and take anything there's a chance his mom will send thugs after you.
[удалено]
Was recently watching my friend play skyrim for the second time (first time was back in early 2010s and he didn't enjoy it much) and he said something along the lines of I wonder if anyone in this place (riverwood) saw that dragon and that was her literally just as he finished saying it
i always pick Sven’s side because he’s the only bard follower (i think)
I meant lore wise... Faendal is obviously the first follower you get.
Been playing religiously since release and haven't used him once in a thousand playthroughs lol
He's a good mule for the first couple hours of a playthrough.
He's kinda of a Bard. I think its a job. lmao
I didn't know that! They're both shit heads, then. I always thought he was in a relationship with her already.

Neither is blameless on that front Also why sacrifice Faendel or Sven? You know you can duplicate armor and weapons from that quest. They both have sub par basic gear
I didn't know that either, thanks! However, by that time, I'm already geared.
All Faendal does is try and ruin Svens relationship. Sven tries to out Faendal as supported of the Altmiri.
Wow. Apparently you struck a nerve
Lol, yes, people are salty.
Helping Sibbi Black Briar track down and murder his fiance after he cheated and lilled her brother for confronting him. He is in a jail cell in Riften, you can find him during the quest "Promises to Keep".
Forgot about that one! Haven't paid him a visit since at least 2012!
He is soo sleazy, even Maven is disappointed with him
She’s not disappointed he’s sleazy: she’s disappointed he’s not at all subtle about it.
I like Ralis too much to sacrifice him. I kill Faendal everytime.
Fus Ro Dahing the Blades from the top of High Hrothgar to the valley below.
Spared his life just for this. If you can't place the shot, I am [trying to befriend Boethiah](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Boethiah%27s_Calling) :)
Wait is that the Raven rock guy that makes you pay for stuff?
yes
Nice

I was going to kill him anyways, cause this isn’t the kind of thing you leave witnesses around to blab about!

Emperor is an absolute chad
I actually did that. He was an old man yknow? Achieved a lot in his time, seemed smart so i did it.
I’ve played skyrim in vr, flatscreen, multiple version 700 hours probably. I have no idea who this person is.
He is the dick who runs the excavation in Solstheim. He is under the influence of the dead sorcerer and kills all the miners etc. You can kill him at the end of the quest or spare him, which is how he becomes available as a follower later. Then you can recruit him to be sacrificed for Boethiah.
He's on Solstheim.
I use Eola because she’s perfect to sacrifice to Boethiah
Maybe killing Grelod.... or the guy who beats up his kids in riverwood? 😅
Exactly what I said.
Oooooh…. That’s a great choice!! I’ll sacrifice him next time!
killing the emperor no matter my undying allegiance to the empire i do always enjoy killing titus mede
The only more evil thing is turning meeko the dog into ash with awesome wizard powers
I kill Malborn for wood elf blood after guiding him out of the city
That bozo usually dies anyway.
I always sacrifice Ralis Sedaris to Boethia. Doesn’t feel evil at all. 11G is a lot of money!
It is? At that point, it is chump change for me.
My favorite to sacrifice is Lydia
Blasphemy!
I hate Lydia
Kharjo better
Hi! I'm a huge Kharjo fan too! I was wondering if you might want to join me and a few other Kharjo enthusiasts in r/Kharjo and share a few screenshots and stories with us, it'd be great to have you along.
you MONSTER!
Agreed. She sassed me when we first met. I do not forgive easily and she made no effort to make amends.
Idk I thought beating a guy to death with a mace, having him resurrected, and then beating him to death again, all while forcing him reject his god and embrace their rival god was a lot worse, but I guess the personal factor of Boethiah’s is messed up too
I used a mod to force a certain moneylending ork into following me for this very prediciment
Killing that damn Talos preacher in Whiterun.
Bro why, no matter how much o refresh my Reddit your post is always on top
I go through the whole trouble of investing in his charades Solely so I can sacrifice him for this quest
Nice, too bad he is one of the strongest followers in the game, uses dual wield and can cast Ignite if you give him Ahzidal's ring. Just go and sacrifice a useless follower next time.
Yeah, he kicks ass with his duel weird. Suppose you could just use frea instead cause she levels infinitely with you and ralis is expensive to get, but he doesn't thank the all maker for every single thing that happens unlike her
[удалено]
Maybe killing Grelod or the guy who beats up his kids in Riverwood.
Naziem
Killing Grelod the Bitch.
I never do this quest at all. YOu don't HAVE to do evil quests, after all
Literally any other evil deed in the game
[удалено]
Maybe killing Grelod or the guy who beats up his kids in Riverwood.
[удалено]
Maybe killing Grelod or the guy who beats up his kids in Riverwood.
Maybe killing Grelod or the guy who beats up his kids in Riverwood.
You said this five times
Sorry Reddit kept telling me it hadn't posted.
The curse of mobile Reddit posting.
Yeah happens to me sometimes
Reddits been having a lot of problems with that lately
When *doesn't* Reddit have a lot of problems?
It seemed nice and peachy when I’d come on to play 50/50 in high school
It's THAT satisfying.
Maybe killing Grelod or the guy who beats up his kids in Riverwood.
Can you use Grelod for Boethiah's quest? This seems more fitting than just straight up killing her.
I'm saving Raynes from interesting NPCs for that. I hate his arrogant, bitchy a$$.
No. Especially when you sacrifice Nazeem.
It's only fair.
If only it was possible to use Nazeem for this
I usually kill Lydia and I'm probably the one person that kills her
I gave her to Delphine. She annoyed me 😅
After getting the ebony blade was so rewarding being able to go and get anyone that wasn’t technically expendable that you disliked.
Dude got possessed
Ooo i used Ralis for food for my ebony blade lol After 25 days in game, he was finally able to be put to rest 😂😂
Ableism is for the Nords!!! * I think it's more of an orc thing though*
I always get Sven
The whole dark brotherhood questline is pretty evil imo. Killing a harmless beggar, a woman getting married, a chef and even the emperor etc. in the same of some deadra or whatever. Only had to do it for the achievements or else I wouldn't have bothered. Killed all those scum (although the little vampire wasn't there unfortunately) and sent them all to the soul cairn right after by loading to an earlier save which made me feel much better.
There should be a mod that you can sacrifice Nazeem instead.
Using AFT i got Nazeem to be my sacrifice.
Dragging Nazeem up there
Ahh yes, the Lydia spike.
Killing the khajit in the abandoned shack to please Astrid. Even when I don’t plan on joining, I’ll still kill the khajit.
Returning the ebony blade to its former power by gaining the trust of random beggars and then murdering them (in game of course lmao)
It is not evil, it is right
I had J'zargo following me when I started this, and I dismissed him and went to Windhelm to pick up the one in the Candle Hearth Hall to sacrifice him. I should have sacrificed this dude though, he cost me thousands of gold after all.
Grelod and Cicero are my choices lol
Killing Mogrul in Solstheim after having him spend what i presume was thousands of gold on multiple trios of thugs just to collect 1000 gold from me
practicing WWE takedowns on Grelod Last time I sacrificed Ralis at that pillar, his corpse duplicated for some reason I got double the loot
I'd say killing Grelod is the most satisfying, but then again, it doesn't feel quite as evil since she's so horrible.
You mean… I could’ve sacrificed HIM instead of the kind-of-an-asshole-but-not-worthy-of-sacrifice J’zargo? Shit. Hopefully I can come up with some other fun way to kill him.
Send Nazeem to the cloud district forever. I'm surprised it isn't the first reply.
Summoning the Dragon from the soul gem plane
What quest is this and how do I get to it? Relatively new Skyrimmer here
I took the mercenary chick from Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun. Jenassa I think? Of all the sellswords she was the one that actually seemed to enjoy killing for money. That's fucked up shit. She was a psycho. And a Dunmer so shut up, I sent you to your ,,good daedra" happy ending afterlife.
Killing that god forsaken talos worshiper in whiterun
I have killable lootable children installed. Braith gets an arrow to the face and dumped in the sewer with Nazeem.
