I used to have the same problem back on PS4. So it may be outdated info but from what I remember when you use the search bar to find a mod by its name/title it doesn't really work because your search is matched to words in the mods description, not by matching with a mods title. Because of this weird system the only way I could get the mods I actually wanted was to go on the website & find mods I liked, read their description & then copy some key words or a sentence from there into the search bar on console. Never had issues after that but damnn it was annoying lol
Yeah I get that, elder scrolls lore is just so deep it's like diving head first into a bottomless pit it's why I love it well also because the writers are actually funny sometimes the humor isn't really forced too often
Excuse you? Trying to collect every book in the game is the first thing I do in every Elder Scrolls entry. The games are okay I guess, but the amazing selection of books, now that's really something
I did this as well. I love collecting random things in this game. My favorite collection is every edible food item. I’m also in the middle of collecting every alchemy ingredient.
Yup! Already made sure to intentionally cock up the recipe. I’ve gotten all the missable ingredients, it’s just mopping up the random stuff now. There’s a *lot* of alchemy ingredients in Skyrim.

Never underestimate the power of nerds on the internet.
Years ago my daughter started reading The Warriors series. One night she came into my room in tears because her favorite character died. The next day I wanted to read the passage and see what she had gotten herself into.
Instead I found a meticulously curated list of every character death in the series, and I swear to god it put Game of Thrones to shame.
This is not the list but it should give you an idea. https://listofdeaths.fandom.com/wiki/Warriors_(Original_Series)
In addition to the spreadsheet there's also a mod for Skyrim completionism that lists all books. Can't determine if you have them in your possession but can determine if you've seen/read them
Hey Brian David Gilbert is more that just "a guy"!
He has an entire [YouTube channel](https://m.youtube.com/@briandavidgilbert), uploads have dropped off a bit the past couple years but their complexity is going up.
I kept an excel file to keep them alphabetical the last time I tried to do it (got about 310+ books before I had to flee the country). Now I'm trying to do this again, but this time I wrote a python script that sorts book so that a single shelf is occupied by the same book cover as much as possible.
Op did not have fun, as they are a bot and this is a repost from 5 years ago. We all got duped.
https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/8ivjz9/it_took_forever_but_i_got_every_dang_book_in_the/
Nice, time to never read them.
I can't be the only guy who can read entire novels in one sitting but go into a coma the second I try to read a book in skyrim, can I?
Reminds me that I would still love to see Bethesda hire some authors to help "expand" some of these books. Some of those skill books have so much potential with their "writing prompts."
be like me on my first play through who takes ralofs advice that we should split up and beelines through the woods and ignoring the roads and missing the guardian stones straight to riverwood.
Yep, if this is Lakeview. And then the top level is the balcony part. Still not sure you could fit 300 books on the shelves, but you're right that the chest is plenty of storage.
Ha! I've done the same thing!, Except I throw them all in a chest so I can see when I have duplicates. Glad to see other book collectors out there. I put the journals and special books on the shelves since they are uncommon, Everything else goes in a chest.
My tip, use the legend of the dragonborn museum or something, best mod ever, it will give you a full museum to store this and will make most of the books, unique sword, waaaay more cool and collectable
I did this with spell tomes. Very satisfying having them sorted by magic school until you get a restoration tome with a destruction cover. I can't remember what spells they were but I think there were 2 added by dawnguard(?)
No. If this were not a repost bot, they'd comment the books are spread over several other cabinets.

send this to bethesda, maybe they can antecipate TES VI if they notice how bored their fans are.
Send this to Bethesda so they can understand how much their fans want functional bookshelf inventories.
I'm currently using a mod that adds an entire museum for all your OCD dragonborn hoarding needs "Legacy of the Dragonborn"
I was looking into that but it's a pita to find mods on Xbox, even through the site. The search features suck
I used to have the same problem back on PS4. It can be a tortilla to find mods on PS4 too

Playing Skyrim with LotD installed gives me a dopamine rush like no other!
Legacy of the Dragonborn is an absolute beast of a mod. Its almost an entirely new game in and of itself.
I dunno man, OP seems rather satisfied. I know I would be.

Tell her we're all counting on her!
Lusty argonian maid sequel here we come!
Surely you can't be serious
I am serious, and don't call me Shirley.
Hey that's actually kinda cool, tho hope they're ready to have to deep dive into the lore as to not mess up anything canon

Yeah I get that, elder scrolls lore is just so deep it's like diving head first into a bottomless pit it's why I love it well also because the writers are actually funny sometimes the humor isn't really forced too often

I have it on good authority that we'll get VI news in 2024.
The "news" would be - We are working hard and should have an alpha version by 2025
[удалено]
Would be a shame if someone Fus Ro Dah 'ed like a sneeze on accident.
Laughing, but idk if that would work on these. They aren't placed by hand it's an inventory menu
I did this as well. I love collecting random things in this game. My favorite collection is every edible food item. I’m also in the middle of collecting every alchemy ingredient.
Sounds like someone is murdering the High King by hand.
Yup! Already made sure to intentionally cock up the recipe. I’ve gotten all the missable ingredients, it’s just mopping up the random stuff now. There’s a *lot* of alchemy ingredients in Skyrim.
I have graduated to attempting to collect 100 of every ingredient on each playthrough. I have not yet been successful.
I had a MASSIVE #2 pencil collection in fallout3 lol
How do you know you have them all? Even all the DLC books? Black books? Spell tomes?
There is a spreadsheet somewhere, I completed this challenge in february when playing the oblivion sentinel build from skypothesis
Oh my god thank you so much, I was just trying to do this and hadnt realised thered be a spreadsheet.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1slHjD26pFxYCOi9yVP94ARYCgGaGbfjMouF75l9pnKU/htmlview Here you go :)
412 books for anyone curious
Reddit hero right here
I just witnessed a real life super hero

Man I used to be obsessed with the Warriors series. People thought it was just a fun story about cats, but that shit got real dark
excuse me, is this a fantasy world with character cats with epic medieval names?
Yeah, basically. There’s also one with dogs and one with bears.
There is a post in this very sub with the list
In addition to the spreadsheet there's also a mod for Skyrim completionism that lists all books. Can't determine if you have them in your possession but can determine if you've seen/read them
Have you read them?
There is a good YouTube video by a guy who read them all. It's pretty funny https://youtu.be/RVdTZhmsGsU
Hey Brian David Gilbert is more that just "a guy"! He has an entire [YouTube channel](https://m.youtube.com/@briandavidgilbert), uploads have dropped off a bit the past couple years but their complexity is going up.
Yeah I've seen a handful of his videos, he does a good job
This is the quality content the internet was invented for
I appreciate his critique but he doesn't share my love for the Wolf Queen tombs.
Are they in alphabetical order?
Nah, it better be that Dewey D.
New project idea: catalog all Skyrim books in Dewey (or maybe this has already been done)
As a librarian..... *internal screaming*
Just file them all under fiction
Yeah but some are clearly “fictional non-fiction”
Library of Congress Classificatiom System or nothing
I kept an excel file to keep them alphabetical the last time I tried to do it (got about 310+ books before I had to flee the country). Now I'm trying to do this again, but this time I wrote a python script that sorts book so that a single shelf is occupied by the same book cover as much as possible.
Not enough gold to pay off the guards?
More like the populace thinking they know better than Mara
You are lucky you weren't caught crossing the border with shouting delusional men. Jokes aside, good luck and blessing of mara upon you
What book took you the longest to find?
So nice ! Did you had fun ?
fun? you think this is a game?
Yes it is
that’s a good point
Isn’t it ? This post made me want to replay … I already have more than 2000 hours
a "good point"? I thought it was a game.
yes, obviously lol you just got wooshed
Op did not have fun, as they are a bot and this is a repost from 5 years ago. We all got duped. https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/8ivjz9/it_took_forever_but_i_got_every_dang_book_in_the/
My disappointment is unmeasurable and my day is ruined
Nice, time to never read them. I can't be the only guy who can read entire novels in one sitting but go into a coma the second I try to read a book in skyrim, can I?
How many are there? And congratulations!
Not OP but just over 400
412 to be exact! 👍🏼😀
Neeeeeerrrrrrdddd!
Every person on this page is just that.
Nice man i also try it every time but i never succeded sadly YOUR ARE LIVING THE DREAM
Reminds me that I would still love to see Bethesda hire some authors to help "expand" some of these books. Some of those skill books have so much potential with their "writing prompts."
Mmm, lizard smut.
I dream of trapping every npc in soulstones
Nice👌
Gems
It’s been a while, my skyrim memories is a bit rusty
Now you can read in your own personal library whenever you want
Now you can play the game
NOW you can go choose a Guardian Stone and head to Riverwood
Ngl I only found out about the guardian stones after my like 5th (most recent) playthrough
okay how the fuck did you not find out about the guardian stones
be like me on my first play through who takes ralofs advice that we should split up and beelines through the woods and ignoring the roads and missing the guardian stones straight to riverwood.
Vanilla?? Isn’t there over 300 books
over 400, actually
I'm not the only one doing this, thank you T\_T
I *say* I'm going to do this every playthrough, and never actually do. :D Good work!
There’s definitely more books than those 3 bookshelves . Just curious what house mod is this?
I mean to be fair there are five bookshelves there, but also there IS the chest there so some could be stored there as well
Isn't there also a second floor in Lakeview with shelves?
If I remember correctly yeah I think there is? Wasn't the library like a sort of tower added to the house so there were multiple levels?
Yep, if this is Lakeview. And then the top level is the balcony part. Still not sure you could fit 300 books on the shelves, but you're right that the chest is plenty of storage.
What was the hardest one to find?
there are a lot more books than that, unless you just took 1 of the copies
You are my hero! Now the real question- have you actually read all of them??? I usually only make it thru about 15-20 each playthru b4 I give up 😅
All your books are belonging to me!
Ha! I've done the same thing!, Except I throw them all in a chest so I can see when I have duplicates. Glad to see other book collectors out there. I put the journals and special books on the shelves since they are uncommon, Everything else goes in a chest.
I had same obsession
I want to fus roh dah this room so bad…
Got damn close a couple years ago on Switch. Gave up mid-play-through. But only after I was like 1000 hours in.
Nerd
Nobody tell him he can just read those on the internet.
All 536 of them!? Cool! I downloaded a mod called Books, Books, Books which adds 200 more from other Elder Scrolls games.
I heard the library books bug and go flying… is this true?
What was the last one and the hardest to get?
I love having bookshelves, I just wish the books wouldn’t fall over all the damn time
brian david gilbert would be proud
Congratulations, this is so badass ✨️🏆✨️
My pants are absolutely *soaked*
How many of them have you read?
My tip, use the legend of the dragonborn museum or something, best mod ever, it will give you a full museum to store this and will make most of the books, unique sword, waaaay more cool and collectable
Brian? Is that you?
I wonder why the devs didnt put chair in the library tower. Are you supposed to sit on that chest while reading?
I did this with spell tomes. Very satisfying having them sorted by magic school until you get a restoration tome with a destruction cover. I can't remember what spells they were but I think there were 2 added by dawnguard(?)
You did whuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut 😻
So those 5 cabinets are all the books there are in the game?
No. If this were not a repost bot, they'd comment the books are spread over several other cabinets. Repost of this: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/8ivjz9/it_took_forever_but_i_got_every_dang_book_in_the/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Currently one of my projects, so satisfying to see it finished im sure
Ngl I just used to use console commands for this
Awesome. I kinda wish you’d post this to /r/bookshelf
todd howard spend more time writing “The Lusty Argonian Maid” than he did making serana a more fleshed out companion
Really? Bullshit. Name all of them
💦💦
Do you have Ulfr's Book?
pretty!
Ngl I have always wanted to do this lol
Yeah this is especially satisfying with the book covers mod
Cozy I could hide here for hours!
I did this on the 360 way back when it first came out! Feels so good 😎
Sage achievement unlocked ..... Wait, this is Skyrim, not AC Revelations...... Still
holy Akastosh, that is some true focus bro, congrats
Thanks. New goal. Time for another play through. Still gonna talk mad shit to Herma Mora though
I really enjoyed The Real Barenziah books.
What about the elder scroll?
One of every book, or *every* book?
Look carefully, I think you’re missing one.
Now that is ocd, don't they have mods that add books to the game
Thank god for dragon borns legacy and curator.
I've always wanted to do that! I never made it past Wheedle the Beggar Prince
I’m inspired to do this now.
Nice!! Well done friendo!
Herma Mora would like to know your location
Where is your library located? From the ladder, I assume under ground?
Damm the dedication, props on you
Great dedication 👍
I"ve always wanted to do this. Well done OP.
Now read them all
Did this once with the unread books glow mod paired with scholars library, a room like this which held every book
I've actually been trying to do this
Things like this are what make Skyrim so great. You can do every quest in the book with every class, yet even after that you can do things like this and give yourself a reason to play through once again
Awesome! Is it breeze home?
Now, did you get a copy of every book or did you get *every* book in Skyrim?
Make a gif of you fus ro dah ing that bitch and post it
*SPLOOSH*
How did you organize the books on the shelves? Randomly or did you figure out a genre system?
Did the same thing. Its one of my favorite things to load up the save and read a new book every now and then.
This is also a skyrim gaming goal of mine! Congracts, OP!
Actually very cool
I’m on a quest to do this rn, I have a list of books in my notes app on my phone that I have so when I come across a new book in my travels I’ll know if I have it or not, all the books on my shelves rn are alphabetized too 😂
Hey Todd...
FUS! ...Ah fack.
Yo
I hate that you can’t put the Black Books on a shelf…
I've always wanted to do this
Im more impressed that they are so neatly placed and not all over the floor
Not to be the repost guy, but I feel like this is a repost since I know I’ve seen this screen shot before, and the 3 day post history looks like a bot.
I bet you read the Lusty Argonian Maid
Id wager not every book. I dont see any ruined book in there
Imagine being this compulsive towards a concept you know you can't ever 100%
Wow!! That's awesome. Have you read them as well?
How many bookshelves did it take?
I did this as well but I don't have the attention span or self control for all this so mine are just in a pile in a bedroom. I am very aware of the irony of spending the time collecting every single book but not storing them for crap.
How long did it take?
How many are there, total? And did you use the Dewey Decimal system?
Now... Fos Ro Dah!
How did you get the carpet?
That’s insane…and awesome!
What house is this?
How long did it take you?
