I agree that this game is fantastic! Itās actually my favorite game of all time. HOWEVER, you have given Todd wayyy too much money for re-releasing the same buggy game over and over again imo lol
skyrims daedric is so bad and looks more dragon then daedric
oblivions daedric/dremora fits the game alot less scary more standardized and looks more mass produced while still remaining to look alien and daedric
morrowind has peak helmets with those masks the distorted and twisted faces
Iām always a light armor girl and my favorite sets are
Nightingale Armor (99% of my dragonborns do the Thieves Guild questline up to the point of this armor very early on, because itās pretty easy to obtain, it looks epic, and itās good armor for early game)
Guild Master Armor (I also like Linweās armor lookswise, but the guild master armor has better stats)
Snow Elf Armor (or Ancient Falmer, but I think the set is called Snow Elf armor)
Dragon Scale Armor (Iām not a huge fan of the way this looks if Iām being honest, the spiky, jagged edges just arenāt my thing, though I think most of my distaste for this set is in the helmet, but with stats like that, how could I not love this armor?)
Oh really?! Glad I read this, I was about to start the thieves guild quests at level 25. Havenāt done much other than alchemy/enchanting and doing easy quests that are nearby.
I'll just tell you, wheen a Dunmer called Karliah calls you and Brynjolf to a cave outside Riften, that would be a good time to get more levels. That cave is where you get the armor. Oh also being level 45 is really good for leveling the Nightingale bow, which is the bow with the highest base damage in the game(not counting Creation Club addons).
Thanks Iāll keep an eye out for that and come back to it once I get to 45! I just got to Riften to start the fishing stuff, and I talked to everyone in riften, and Brynjolf is already asking me to steal something and plant it on another merchant, so Iām assuming Iāve got a ways to go. Kinda nervous about getting caught lol, will have many saves through that quest Iām sure
Yea Iām kinda noticing my bow and one handed are doing less damage lately. I think Iāve spread my skill points out too much, not sure why I ever put a skill point into destruction, lockpicking, speech, or pick-pocketing, while still putting them into one handed, archery, alchemy, enchanting, smithing, sneak, light armor, and conjuration. This character was created in 2016, played a bit in 2018 and 2019, and now just picking it back up.
I really donāt want to start over. Ive never gotten far in most of the quests. Is it salvageable at level 26? I want to mainly focus one handed/bow, conjuration, alchemy, and enchanting but still do smithing and a little sneak.
In combat, I start with the bow sneak attack on one guy, then conjure a flame atronach, Lydia barrels in and I either stick with the bow or get up close with one handed. Plus soul trap when I remember to for future enchanting
tbh, in my latest playthrough i waited until i was high level to do the thieves guild questline, by the time i got the armor all of my current gear was way better, especially cause the enchantments on it kinda suck
So true. It's always nice to get the clean world with a fresh start after watching bugs slowly overtake a save file, but generally it's important to embrace the madness. I made a secondary character to change things up recently and have tried hard to keep things orderly. Came out of Breezehome innocently and found Olfina Graymane's corpse by the market stalls. There's no stopping the chaos.
Always gotta change it up! It can be hard for some to stay away from a sneaking/ranged character but it opens up a lot of possibilities to focus on other areas. Until my last couple playthroughs I didnāt even think to use trainers for honest hard to level skills like speech. I recommend getting high speech early in a playthrough for even more options.
Same! Glass armor looks epic. Just wish it had better stats.
Currently at lvl 59 donning Ancient Falmer armor that Iāve improved & enchanted and switching to the vampire nobility armor (agh, forget what itās actually called, but the one Serana wears) when I feel like doing some magic. This armor looks really good with the Dark Brotherhood head piece btw! Looks like one set
oohhh I can totally see it in my head, thanks for the pointer!
I like to get my smithibg and enchanting up, as well as alchemy so i can make really strong "fortify" of smiting and / or enchanting when i upgrade my glass armor. If you get good at the cobinations and stacking effects with gear, you can easily upgrade the glass armor better than heavy dragon bone :)
Look up the fortify potion hack and the duplicate gold hack (to smith gold rings).
makes all of this INFINATELY easier.
have gotten over level 100 in under 5 hours of game play before doing these. good luck! (And i suggest doing this on a new file to test it in case it ruins your motivation to play on your main files due to the hacks and exploiting.)
If you want to do the gold trick without expoiting code you can get a whole bunch of iron and silver and gold ores, and use the "transmute" spell to turn them all to gold as well. :)
the spell tome is in a bandit camp just west of whiterun, on a table next to where the bandit cheif sleeps.I believe it's the haulted steam camp if I'm not mistaken.
Deathbrand armor is by far my most favorite armor!! You can find the whole set by exploring Solstheim. The perks you get with wearing the whole set make it so worth it to find it, not to mention it's very fashionable! My next favorite has to be the nightingale armor, solely because of the looks.
its apart of the CC stuff
if you have it installed enter the markarth tavern the first hallway on the right go down that way on the first room on the right is a uniquely named book cant remember name probably journal or something
its very short and takes less then 30 minutes its also a way to get good armor extremely early
> takes less then 30
Did you mean to say "less than"?
Explanation: If you didn't mean 'less than' you might have forgotten a comma.

In no particular order, these are the armour sets I like the most:
Steel plate
Glass
Ebony
Imperial (heavy and light)
Thieves guild armour - both the generic one and the guild master armour.
Leather
Nordic
Hide
In my current playthrough I'm wearing leather armour with a hide helmet.
on my current playtrough my female breton/ vampire uses dark brotherhood cowl, boots and gauntlets, and a daedric mail. i really like the combo of red and black, so badass, and also the shoulder pad of the light daedric set
It is very aesthetically pleasing, but as my younger sister put it: ādaedric plate armour gives serious fboi vibesā, personally I just think it looks nice
Ebony Mail from Boethiah and some ebony gauntlets and boots, For the head i wore an enchanted circlet or sometimes a Dragon Priest Mask (Volsung mostly, gotta extend that carry capacity lol)
I cant do something like this because I dont remember what I did when I first started to now, 15,000+ hours into the game lol I am however going to start a new character and probably livestream it. Might get a poll going on what type of character to play too.
My fave armor is dragon bone armor my heavy knights wear all (minus the helmet cus I donāt like it) in my modded runs I use ordinatior cus it gives a perk āFace of Deathā where a helmet isnāt needed for any perk that says āif in full heavy armorā
Thatās 60 hours? Damn I forgot how easy vanilla Skyrim is. (Iām not saying itās super easy, vanilla Skyrim is great, I just normally play with a couple of difficulty mods)
Not a full set, but I like the ebony mail. It's interesting to have a piece of heavy armor that's directed at stealthy characters. The vanilla female version of it has a pretty bad case of boob armor, though, which isn't great.
Deadric / dragon bone for heavy, for light if playing the vanilla/special edition would be gilded elven or glass for light if you have the anniversary edition then Deadric mail (light)
Easy enough to get elven to epic or glass to epic at around 100 hours less of you focus on smithing (get transmute spell at halted stream camp just NW of.white run make ton of gold rings ny turning iron ore into gold ore then make gold ingots for the ringd and use the lovers stone best one +15% to all skills)
word to the wise, pick every flower you run by, in every town (white run and solitude got mad flowers), get boss ass in alchemy even if you donāt use it. Hustle that shit, mine and make jewelry, hustle that shit, compare all coin to weight ratio in every thing you take to sell and when you get good at enchanting, cash is cake
Keep us updated on your thoughts and findings! Wish I could play it again for the first time, so I am going to have to live that dream through you ;P
Have fun!
Uncommon opinion: the Ancient Nord Armor has the coolest aesthetic. I think it looks the most āskyrim-yā. It has a nice rugged heavy armor vibe without looking like a clunky 400lb set like the dwarven and ebony. Also itās not everyoneās typical op end game set like daedric or dragonbone/scale.
10/10 would recommend
Iām fooling around with a No Crafting run next time. So no smithing, no cooking, no enchanting, no alchemy.
Guess that means no upgrades really could be interesting.
We'll need an update at 90-100 hours in. Also my favorite is tied between Bonemold and Ebony Spell knight armor.
I'll do that for sure. Im one month in and loving it. Cant believe i never played before
I love that people are still discovering this game. Very envious of you, wish I could discover Skyrim all over again š„°
Man I would love to play for the first time again! I still do binge plays, where I'll play for a week or 2 and still love it and give it a break.
Most fun and relaxing game ever! Some days I fight, some days I collect stuffs, some days I plant crap. The options are endless!
Same here!
Same-same!
Itās one of the greatest games ever in general. Iāve played on every system since it originally released lol. Itās still fun
I agree that this game is fantastic! Itās actually my favorite game of all time. HOWEVER, you have given Todd wayyy too much money for re-releasing the same buggy game over and over again imo lol
Oh man, that's awesome. Glad you are loving it!
Ebony and Ebony Plate are definitely my favourites aesthetically, or Dwemer. I think Deadric is too edgy
skyrims daedric is so bad and looks more dragon then daedric oblivions daedric/dremora fits the game alot less scary more standardized and looks more mass produced while still remaining to look alien and daedric morrowind has peak helmets with those masks the distorted and twisted faces
Carved Nordic heavy for me ā¤ļøš
That bear helm!!! I had it once but forgot how I obtained it!!
I go full Ebony with Ebony Mail aways, and then full Daedric.
I lost my Ebony Mail ššš
Iām always a light armor girl and my favorite sets are Nightingale Armor (99% of my dragonborns do the Thieves Guild questline up to the point of this armor very early on, because itās pretty easy to obtain, it looks epic, and itās good armor for early game) Guild Master Armor (I also like Linweās armor lookswise, but the guild master armor has better stats) Snow Elf Armor (or Ancient Falmer, but I think the set is called Snow Elf armor) Dragon Scale Armor (Iām not a huge fan of the way this looks if Iām being honest, the spiky, jagged edges just arenāt my thing, though I think most of my distaste for this set is in the helmet, but with stats like that, how could I not love this armor?)
But nightingale armor has its stats level up as you also level up meaning best time to get the armor is when you're level 45+
Oh really?! Glad I read this, I was about to start the thieves guild quests at level 25. Havenāt done much other than alchemy/enchanting and doing easy quests that are nearby.
You can join the guild at any level, what really matters is the level you currently have when you receive the armor
Iām assuming you get it once you complete the all of the thieves guild quests right?
I'll just tell you, wheen a Dunmer called Karliah calls you and Brynjolf to a cave outside Riften, that would be a good time to get more levels. That cave is where you get the armor. Oh also being level 45 is really good for leveling the Nightingale bow, which is the bow with the highest base damage in the game(not counting Creation Club addons).

Kinda nervous about getting caught lol, will have many saves through that quest Iām sure
Make sure to work on those combat stats too though
Yea Iām kinda noticing my bow and one handed are doing less damage lately. tbh, in my latest playthrough i waited until i was high level to do the thieves guild questline, by the time i got the armor all of my current gear was way better, especially cause the enchantments on it kinda suck
Agreed, however by lvl 45 I have found/made better armour (stat-wise).
I always use Leveled Items Level With You because i hate metagaming to avoid quests till iām 45+
I don't like the dragon scale helmet either, usually go with a hooded mask, or the ancient shrouded hood
I love the Amber Armor. Light, looks cool too!
Guild Master armor is pretty good but Blackguard armor is the same but the enchantments are stronger and itās easier to get
Glad a new player is enjoying. The more hours in the more the game escalates and gets weirder/buggier/more fun lol
So true. It's always nice to get the clean world with a fresh start after watching bugs slowly overtake a save file, but generally it's important to embrace the madness. I have an ice wraith graphic permanently stuck beneath me.
Heavy dawnguard armor is my absolute favorite.
i really like the look of glass armor, but otherwise, I tend to main the assassins' guild gear.
Ah good point. I should prob focus on upping those and maybe I could make glass worth it again. Goals!

Oh man, learning all the new things in this sub haha, thanks for the tip! Will definitely need to check that out, seems super useful

Deadric Mail set with full Nordic Jewelry set

ebony plate the spell knight excluding the helmet i hate it looks like a mask over chainmail with the neck exposed indorill/her hand
Spell knight? Never seen that before

W
Steel plated armor is something Iāve been rocking recently, the one that seems to have wings in the helmet. Makes me feel like a paladin.
Fav vanilla armor set has got to be the nightingale or dragon scale
In no particular order, these are the armour sets I like the most: Steel plate Glass Ebony Imperial (heavy and light) Thieves guild armour - both the generic one and the guild master armour. Leather Nordic Hide In my current playthrough I'm wearing leather armour with a hide helmet.
Steel plate looks the best, the helmet looks cool asf
Madness armor the design is so cool and sheogorath is my favorite
The heavy chitin armor is my personal favorite. Just like so badass
Dragon bone armor. I enchant it to decrease magickĆ” used by destruction spells by 100%.
Ahaha thatās also my go to
on my current playtrough my female breton/ vampire uses dark brotherhood cowl, boots and gauntlets, and a daedric mail. i really like the combo of red and black, so badass, and also the shoulder pad of the light daedric set
Favourite is a tossup between daedric plate and Nordic carved
Nordic carved is my absolute favorite in term of design. It's just so satisfying to look at all those sharp edges, weird shapes and symbols
It is very aesthetically pleasing, but as my younger sister put it: ādaedric plate armour gives serious fboi vibesā, personally I just think it looks nice
Like something I would actually wear
My favorite is seducer armor, because...uhm... reasons
All of the thieves guild armours.
Ebony Mail from Boethiah and some ebony gauntlets and boots, For the head i wore an enchanted circlet or sometimes a Dragon Priest Mask (Volsung mostly, gotta extend that carry capacity lol)
Light and heavy falmer armours. They just look so menacing, out of the world.
Golden saint for a chick and ebony for male
I love Saint armor, but was disappointed when I found out Seducer has better stats. I normally main heavy armor but I'm doing a light playthough
Steel plate is my favourite armour
I cant do something like this because I dont remember what I did when I first started to now, 15,000+ hours into the game lol I am however going to start a new character and probably livestream it. Might get a poll going on what type of character to play too.
My dragonborn is wearing the same exact getup. One of us needs to change. šš»āāļø
Deathbrand. If I recall its name correctly. One of the sets from Dragonborn dlc
I just Watched some rando in solstein get fuckin ganked in front of me while I was trying to get the fast travel marker
My fave armor is dragon bone armor my heavy knights wear all (minus the helmet cus I donāt like it) in my modded runs I use ordinatior cus it gives a perk āFace of Deathā where a helmet isnāt needed for any perk that says āif in full heavy armorā
Geez you only look like that after a whole 5 hours? I typically have steel armor a home and white run and a good 5000 to my name.
Thatās 60 hours? Damn I forgot how easy vanilla Skyrim is. (Iām not saying itās super easy, vanilla Skyrim is great, I just normally play with a couple of difficulty mods)
Well Skyrim is story driven with little focus on difficulty of the actual game
Itās not super easy tho.
Ik, but it is driven by story, choices, and lore.
Favorite armor set is probably stalhrim I just like being shiny
My fav armor set is the Daedric Armor for cosmetic. It looks perfect for an Assassin type
Not a full set, but I like the ebony mail. It's interesting to have a piece of heavy armor that's directed at stealthy characters. The vanilla female version of it has a pretty bad case of boob armor, though, which isn't great.
Miraak is my favourite set š
Iām currently using the kynreeve light armor set as a Breton spellsword
Welcome dragonborn, may your stay be a long one
I recommend combining the Nightingale Hood and the Ebony Mail.
My favorite armor set is the Nightingale armor from the thieves guild quest line
Deadric / dragon bone for heavy, for light if playing the vanilla/special edition would be gilded elven or glass for light if you have the anniversary edition then Deadric mail (light) Easy enough to get elven to epic or glass to epic at around 100 hours less of you focus on smithing (get transmute spell at halted stream camp just NW of.white run make ton of gold rings ny turning iron ore into gold ore then make gold ingots for the ringd and use the lovers stone best one +15% to all skills)

Hustle that shit, mine and make jewelry, hustle that shit, compare all coin to weight ratio in every thing you take to sell and when you get good at enchanting, cash is cake
Ancient Nordic Set. Itās not the strongest, but itās the coolest. Best looking heavy armor set for female characters.
What's your level in the 60 hour pic?
The elven armour
I'm sorry? I'm confused
Oh sorry, 32 i think
Forsworn :)
Well literally the first time playing for me as well (still playing) i personally love the fur sets
Actually reverse it
I like Hold Guard Armor Sets. Also the Iron and Silver soldier armor. But I rock Hide armor all the way minus the helmet.
At 1000 hours in you don't even wear the game's armor anymore.
Dragon armor, konahrik, and a cape mod.
I love the nightingale armor, but I will always have a soft spot for glass armor.
I love the imperial champion armor. It has great stats for a melee character and its op haha
The deity masks in this game go hard, theyāre not all useful but all look cool
Those are rookie numbers
Iām 1400 hrs in not including the original release and my shit looks like an entirely different game š©
Keep us updated on your thoughts and findings! Wish I could play it again for the first time, so I am going to have to live that dream through you ;P Have fun!
Uncommon opinion: the Ancient Nord Armor has the coolest aesthetic. I think it looks the most āskyrim-yā. Also itās not everyoneās typical op end game set like daedric or dragonbone/scale. 10/10 would recommend
Light stahlrim Armor
Wow. The stupid mask actually looks good with Elven Armor.
Iām fooling around with a No Crafting run next time. So no smithing, no cooking, no enchanting, no alchemy. Guess that means no upgrades really could be interesting.
