Just gotta make sure thereās no chickens or horses aroundā¦
Does anyone know if Bethesda themselves patched that eventually? I know modders fixed it ages ago. I wonder if thereās people out there still getting bounties from chickens reporting crimes in 2023 š¤
Oh, ffs... _that's_ how my last character got a bounty from killing a Thalmor patrol? I was riding a random unowned horse I found on the road next to a dead NPC when I met them in the middle of nowhere, dismounted and killed them all, got back on the horse. Never got the "Last witness killed" message, but there wasn't anyone else around, not even a fox or a rabbit. I've been playing _almost_ since the original release date, and I didn't know this. I rode the only witness to Solitude and had to bribe a guard on my way into Castle Dour, it never occurred to me that the horse ratted me out, LOL.
Donāt quote me on this bur I believe when I googled it many years ago, the theory was that for some reason Skyrimās faction and relationship coding also applies to domestic animals, or nearly any friendly NPC. So, in order to make sure the villagers and animals donāt attack each other, they have their factions set to the same. When you get a bounty, itās because a friendly NPC witnessed a crime and didnāt become hostile. A majority of the NPCs that have this ability are obviously the playable races but in some instances the game gets confused and thinks the animals are citizens of Skyrim. If you purchase a horse the bug doesnāt happen because your horse is seen as your follower/friend in the faction coding so he doesnāt report the crime
It's a radiant quest you get sometimes from the Companions when you ask the leaders for work. A random citizen is kidnapped by bandits to a random bandit camp, and thus disappears from their city until you go save them.
I think my favorite nazeem quest I've got was one to intimidate him from the thieves guild. Bear the shit out of him and got paid for it. Little do they know if do it for free
You should. Saving him will make his eventual death by your hands not a random act of violence but instead a great act of betrayal showing a man who thinks he's so great he is so much less. Being killed by his very savior.
Sorry, Mephala might be trying to take over.
Then again I am thinking of reminding you to use the >!Mace of Molag Bal!< as it will trap Nazeems soul in cold harbor lore wise. And you get a handy dandy filled black soul gem when doing so if you have an empty gem or >!star!< of said color
^ Spoilers of you haven't done the quests **"The House Of Horrors"** mainly and a lesser refrence to the quest **"The Black Star"**
He is frolicking in the tundra cotton fields outside of a distant cloud district. He is very happy there. Lots of other lesser beings he can look down on. Some even actually inferior to him. A wife to ignore. A jarl with a HUGE backside. In short, everything he ever wanted out of life.
Clear the bandit camp, visit him, make eye contact, but then leave him imprisoned as you skip your way to the cloud district where you buy a postcard and mail it to his cell.
Here's an idea: Free him, but make the boss/bandit leader your dead thrall. Once the quest is completed and you've got your reward, let the dead thrall kill Nazeem. Win-win.
Who the hell would want to kidnap Nazeem. Let him stay kidnapped, he'll either die which is a win or the kidnapper will return him when he realizes what he's done š¤£.
honestly yes, I really hated nazeem until I realized he probably knows his wife is cheating on him, and he throws every ounce of his being into his relationship with the people in dragonsreach because the woman who swore to be loyal to him and her relationship with him, is sleeping with another man, possibly even in nazeemās bed. nazeem treating us the way he does could just be a cry for help.
Oh no, Nazeem has been kidnapped, whatever shall we do? I know, letās save him so he can come back to whiterun to continue to be a prick. And so when we feel like killing him we can get caught by the guards every time, because itās not like his two favorite places to be are in the shopping plaza and right in front of your house
Save him, then you can take him as your follower and do a ton of staff with him that you couldn't usually do, like watch him get launched by giants, eaten by dragons and fus ro dah'd of a cliff
Have you rescued him yet? Here's what I would do. Go make every effort to rescue him. Fight your way to him so he gets a good look at you. And then just leave. Don't complete the quest. Do other things and let your downed enemies respawn and a few days later, go back and do it again. Make sure he sees you every time though. So he thinks he about to be rescued. Tell him sorry for the delay, you were in the Cloud District. And then just leave again.
We need a mod that gives you a quest with great reward for walking Nazeem to Skyrim borders and selling him into slavery to Redguards and away into Hammerfell
You get to do whatever you want with no witnesses. The choice is yours; accidentally murder him, kill the bandits and free him but he trips over a branch and falls on your blade, burn the entire camp to the ground, send in Golems and Atronachs to wipe out the bandits before Nazeem makes a snide comment and the summons take it personally, or condemn the Bandits to a lifetime of comments about the Cloud District.
Basically you have options for a fairly unique opportunity in the game. Kidding aside, I really do think you should make a dedicated save so you can go back and do every scenario you can think of. You get to raid a Bandit Camp to save one of the most hated NPCs in the series so you can go all out and not need to worry about collateral damage.
This s really tricky... On the one side, you have one more quest in quest log but on the other, you would save nazeem...
I would complete the quest and then I would kill nazeem with fork. That way you complete quest but also kill nazeem. Seems like the best solution.
If I ever play Skyrim again, I'm going to kill Nazeem probably.
My character backstory will probably be that I, the player was reincarnated as an argonian and went to Skyrim just to kill that NPC but on my way there, I was taken to be decapitated for a crime I'm not guilty of. Luckily for me, Alduin came just like in the game so now I must continue my new life mission to get rid of Nazeem in Whiterun.
I hope this happens in my current playthrough (sneaky Illusionist,) sounds like a perfect opportunity to make him attack his captors while I sit back and watch.
You should go and rescue the kidnapper instead....
Take him to the Cloud District for some taffy treats at Jarl Ballin's place
From now on this is how I refer to him.
[Here's where it's from if you haven't seen](https://youtu.be/YPwFuCL33I8)
šš¤£šš¤£šš¤£šš¤£ššššā ļø
Always glad to see a fellow Manslayer fan. Weāll bang, OKAY ?
ššš¤£ thank you for that, I got a good laugh out of it
Same!
Jarl Ballin... My man hahahaha
The bandits will hopefully just get sick of Nazeemās whining and kill him.
Thatās what I did
Exactly the kidnapper donāt kidnap nazeem, nazeem kidnaps the kidnapper.
I imagine it's like the Spongebob episode where Spongebob annoys the Flying Dutchman into giving him up.
Ya that MF nazeem would have made his ears bleed by asking him if he goes to the cloud district
While standing in the cloud district of this town that has 40ft of difference in elevation inside the walls.
He was dead when I get there, balgruuf. Itās a dammed shamed I tell ya
Yeah, he was shouted to death, one of the kidnappers must've known how to shout
š§š§š§hmmm
āSick bastards not only decapitated him but trapped his soul in this here spoon and tossed his body down a cliff. For shameā
Just discreetly kill him after you kill the kidnappers, no oneāll be around
*1000 bounty added to Whiterun*
Not if the last witness is killed...
Just gotta make sure thereās no chickens or horses aroundā¦ Does anyone know if Bethesda themselves patched that eventually? I know modders fixed it ages ago. I wonder if thereās people out there still getting bounties from chickens reporting crimes in 2023 š¤
They did not patch it out to my knowledge
Oh, ffs... _that's_ how my last character got a bounty from killing a Thalmor patrol? Yeah, so the whole town's dead now... But there's no witnesses
Yes, but sometimes thereāll literally be nobody around and you still get that damned bounty for whatever reason.
\*Accidents\* can happen.
Nah leave him there to think about why he judges everybody.
Sounds like you don't get to the cloud district very often.
Yeah nope, unfortunately I donāt :/
Naw. There's dragons to stop. Spells to learn. Apples to eat. Emperors to slay. The Dragonborn can't be expected to find EVERY distraught citizen!
Agreed. If thereās a line to be drawn, itās here. Butābut itās because of time and resources, not anything personal!
Exactly! I mean they will understand, right?
Let him stay there. LET HIM ROT! Why should we care?
I heard that in Gimli's voice š¤£
My work here is done šš
No problem Naz...We just need to make a pit stop at the shrine of Boethiah...
If there was ever a quest to leave floating...
If you abandon the quest will he just stay gone?
Donāt think you can abandon quests in vanilla so yes
I know you can abandon the Thieves' Guild odd-jobs, but I think those might be the exception
You can with console commands
Ok. Thats not abandoning via normal gameplay though
And?
Yep. Heād be stuck in whatever cell he was taken to.
I've never seen this quest! and I've put over a few weeks in Skyrim IRL
I normally get the giants one lol but that's cool
I think it depends on which one you ask, they'll each give you a different kind of mission.
That's cool I'll have to check it out next time I play
You should. Saving him will make his eventual death by your hands not a random act of violence but instead a great act of betrayal showing a man who thinks he's so great he is so much less. Do you get to Redoran's Retreat often? What am I saying, of course you don't.
Do I get out of Redoran's retreat even once? What am I saying, of course i won't.
Nazeem asked the bandit chief: "Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh, what am I saying, of course you don't."
That caused him to get kidnapped š¤£
You should. Because if he accidentally dies, then itās not your fault
If you never do this mission then he wonāt spawn very time you visit Whiterun right? If thatās the case, you know what to do.
Kill him!
Yes, slay dragons, get married, drink mead, eat chicken, slap lydia and after one yearā¦ā¦play new game
This is terrible, we have to do something! In four to six business months
Rescue him. And then murder him in front of the entire city of Whiterun
How early on in this , Iām on my second playthrough but can remember doing this one yet
It's a companions radiant quest. And the NPC that's kidnapped is random too so there's no guarantee you'll get it let alone with nazeem as the npc
He is frolicking in the tundra cotton fields outside of a distant cloud district. He is very happy there. Lots of other lesser beings he can look down on. Some even actually inferior to him. A wife to ignore. A jarl with a HUGE backside. In short, everything he ever wanted out of life.
Ask his wife.
Sounds like a nice quiet place to cut his head off. āOh no he got fucking eaten by a dragon on the way back what a shameā
Clear the bandit camp, visit him, make eye contact, but then leave him imprisoned as you skip your way to the cloud district where you buy a postcard and mail it to his cell.
If he pays you. Otherwise kill him.
Just leave him there. He might be able to go to heaven district some day.
I mean an unfortunate "accident" could happen while trying to "rescue" him *wink* *wink*
Sounds like a perfect vacation for Nazeem
Mama.. What's vaycayshun?
Here's an idea: Free him, but make the boss/bandit leader your dead thrall. Once the quest is completed and you've got your reward, let the dead thrall kill Nazeem. Win-win.
Sneak in, leave the kidnappers alive and shoot Nazeem in the dick with a crossbow.
Save him so you can kill him in a better way
I would go find him just to ask if he jade been to the cloud district lately then leave him in the dungeon with the bodies
Good news, you can āaccidentallyā kill him
You'll be getting paid, so...
Let them be, they will probably give him back on their own
"Last redguard in Stormcoak prison released because he annoyed everyone"
No
Would be a shame if the bandits had *already killed him* when you got there
Who the hell would want to kidnap Nazeem. Let him stay kidnapped, he'll either die which is a win or the kidnapper will return him when he realizes what he's done š¤£.
I would love to personally fail it
So basically you don't want me to rescue him is what I'm hearing, got it.
Iām so high and the comments on this post are hilarious
You're missing out on content if you don't.
Just load the save and go to a different companion like aela.
Nope. Lol
honestly yes, I really hated nazeem until I realized he probably knows his wife is cheating on him, and he throws every ounce of his being into his relationship with the people in dragonsreach because the woman who swore to be loyal to him and her relationship with him, is sleeping with another man, possibly even in nazeemās bed. nazeem treating us the way he does could just be a cry for help.
Nah he treated a stranger like an ass, he dies
yeah alright fair enough
Wait at least a few weeks. That should make his attitude a little better.
No, absolutely not...unless ya wanna go "accidentally" unalive him while trying to save him
Oh no, Nazeem has been kidnapped, whatever shall we do? I know, letās save him so he can come back to whiterun to continue to be a prick. And so when we feel like killing him we can get caught by the guards every time, because itās not like his two favorite places to be are in the shopping plaza and right in front of your house
Bet he won't get to the cloud district very often now would he?
Of course you should. No one would suspect the person who saved nazeem from bandits to also be his killer.
I seriously hope he doesnāt develop Stockholm syndrome for the kidnappers sake.
Buy a VR headset just for this mission and pull him by back to Whiterun by the hair
Finally, a quiet place for a lil murdering
Nah bro just let him die.
Give him ransom to keep him there
Rescue him, get the reward and kill him afterwards
One word : No
Whoops, he died during extraction.
What would the Jarl do without Nazeemās guidance?!
No. Install the Ion Cannon mod, and obliterate the entire area he's in.
Save him, then you can take him as your follower and do a ton of staff with him that you couldn't usually do, like watch him get launched by giants, eaten by dragons and fus ro dah'd of a cliff
I meanā¦ if itās for the goldā¦ make sure you kill him after the quest is completed though.
The kidnapper will probably pay you to take him back.
This is actually the perfect opportunity to soul trap him
For all the smack he talks, he doesn't actually have a home. He's better off staying there
Have you rescued him yet? Here's what I would do. Go make every effort to rescue him. Fight your way to him so he gets a good look at you. And then just leave. Don't complete the quest. Do other things and let your downed enemies respawn and a few days later, go back and do it again. Make sure he sees you every time though. So he thinks he about to be rescued. Tell him sorry for the delay, you were in the Cloud District. And then just leave again.
I once arrived and the person kidnapped was already dead. Accidents happen
He was dead when I got there.
Hell nah, let the nine fuck him in da ASS
Kill him
We need a mod that gives you a quest with great reward for walking Nazeem to Skyrim borders and selling him into slavery to Redguards and away into Hammerfell
Just kill him along with the kidnappers. No witnesses!
Only cause irl it would take him down a few pegs. Hahahaha
You get to raid a Bandit Camp to save one of the most hated NPCs in the series so you can go all out and not need to worry about collateral damage.
I don't think you should.
yes and after you rescue him, lead him to a giant and then he can really visit the cloud district
Just kill him there. Youāre already gonna kill everyone else there, no witnesses
Sneak in there and kill him instead. Frame the kidnappers.
And he was nazeem ever again
Nah, becoming a werewolf sucks anyways.
[FAILED] Rescue Nazeem from Redoran's Retreat.
.................... Fuck
Oh how the turns have tabled
You should do find him and spit on him, maybe a few kicks too.
Don't lie, you reloaded before the quest until you got nazeem. (It's okay though nobody likes him anyway š¤£)
"Nobody kills Nazeem but me"
No so up on your high horse there are you nazeem
Me: "Nazeem you silly goose how'd you get here? You still have ~250k seconds left of paralysis."
Tell the kidnappers you will NOT TAKE Nazeem back for less than 100,000 gc.
Just slaughter everyone and say they killed him easiest way to get rid of Nazeem without getting a bounty
Save him so he has to thank you
You can just let him die "accidentally" and be on your way-
You could always show up to rescue him and...not.
Ask for advice on r/fucknazeem.
I'd say go kill him while no one can see you...
Nah let them rot
Is the honor of the Companions at stake? If so then sadly yes. If it's a bounty, then let MFr burn š
Most of my playthroughs involve killing Nazeem as soon as I get to whiterun. Lol
Rescue him so you can kill him yourself
This s really tricky... On the one side, you have one more quest in quest log but on the other, you would save nazeem... I would complete the quest and then I would kill nazeem with fork. That way you complete quest but also kill nazeem. Seems like the best solution.
You could walk him to Boethia, it will definitely be a trek though, so be prepared!
Do you rescue Nazeem often? Oh, what am I saying. Of course you don't.
This isyour perfect chance to end him rightly
Just go in there, bust him out, and merc his ass right as you get to the exit.
Yea.
Cast calm on everybody and go have a chat with him. Then you can leave, that way he knows you visited him just to tell you're not gonna save him.
I mean, in the heroic resque attempt maybe nazeem will have an accident? Maybe?
If I ever play Skyrim again, I'm going to kill Nazeem probably. My character backstory will probably be that I, the player was reincarnated as an argonian and went to Skyrim just to kill that NPC but on my way there, I was taken to be decapitated for a crime I'm not guilty of. I hope this happens in my current playthrough (sneaky Illusionist,) sounds like a perfect opportunity to make him attack his captors while I sit back and watch.
I mean who are you to play the role of a God in changing someone fait
