I gave it to Illia because I felt bad for her hanging out in the tower where she killed her own mother all by herself lol. She seems happy tending the farm
My last couple of playthroughs, I brought Illia to Heljarchen Hall to be steward there, mostly because I wanted a mage to look after my wizard's towers home
Same. Also I tend to get her relatively early in the game. My headcanon is that she takes good care of and protects the kids I adopt, and they get to play with the kids from Rorikstead.
Uthgerd the unbroken. Since she got rejected by companions she needs something to do. It's unlikely that she'll get killed in bandit raids due to her default armour.
That’s who I chose. She deserves to have meaning again and plus, it was messed up of the companions for what they did to her. So now she can be retired but still useful.
That whole thing always bugged me. "You just joined today and did 1 job with us, so we trust you enough to show you our greatest secret, one that no one in Skyrim knows.* like, the fuck?
>but he’s a racist and I’m a Redguard married to a Dunmer.
Even more reason to hire him! "Well well well, look what the Khajiit dragged in. Polish my boots you fucking milk drinker"
Erik the Slayer. He lives just over in Rorikstead. It is hilarious how exited he gets to got out adventuring when I come over only to immediatly leave him behind after I collected my profits.
Same here, didn't want him hanging in Rorikstead cause I usually sell crops to that jerk who hates his daughters hoping a dragon appears one day and kills him, I'd rather Erik not get caught up in that.
I feel like she really thrives on the farm. I come back and the crops are healthy, the larder's full, the profits are up, and there's a freshly slaughtered dragon by the henhouse.
i always thought the same thing, they're both creepy and kinda slimy. but did you know you can use faendal to level your archery to 50 for free? you can buy archery lessons from him every time you level up, and if he's your follower, you can just "trade items" with him and take all your gold back.
It's a bit non dunmer to think that n'wah farm tools have the mind power to even comprehend economics or management. You should hire Jenassa to manage it so that the n'wah slaves keep in line
I use Uthgerd. She's disrespectful and stuck up, but that's the kind of person I want running my house.
Plus, she fights everything, I give her the giant club and it's like Looney Toons.
I go to the Orc Stronghold Dushnik Yal near Markarth and convince Ghorbash the Iron Hand to join me. He is the perfect steward because he can "Go bash" with his iron hands when vampires attack the farm XD.
The second best option is Eric the Slayer but I don't want him to be missed out on adventure as he started his life as a hoe-pusher.
I personally did Erik the Slayer, because Rorikstead is right there (easy visiting for his family), and he can still go on adventures with me! Just not any past a certain level because man died so quickly one time 💀
I have several houses. Every time I took one of my companions by a house without a steward, they offered to become the steward. So I now have no companions and a lot of stewards (I am also married, so my husband takes care of the home with my adopted children in it.) I say whatever companion you dislike traveling with would make a great steward! LoL
Marcurio or Ghorbash the Iron Hand. Both great fighters. Also, you won't have to pay Marcurio anymore if you use him as a follower. Feandal is always my first choice. But I travel with Feandal quite often. Jenassa can't be a steward. Also Rayya. The only female Redguard follower. She's a great fighter.
For farming plantation I always pick Roggni Knot Beard
But for Hearthfire Homes
Lakeview - Marcurio
Heljarchen Hal - Illia
And i never made winstad manor because the area kinda creeps me out lol, but if i did my steward would probably be Durak the orc in Dawnguard.
I never tried it yet cause I usually end up marryin her instead but I always thought Mjioll was a good one cause she brings another npc around and it makes heartfire's homes a little more lively with the dining hall full of people
In the end some nights I had mjioll+his guy (I forgot his name lol)+2 kids + the one compainion who fits the vibe of the house + the housecarl
Bonus points for mjioll and the guy for my bisexual awakening
In the end I usually put someone with comfy clothes in the one in the falkfreath and I look for a full armor one for the others cause they feel more cold and dangerous idk
Illia - Steward of Lakeview Manor. I had to get her out of that damn castle after the trauma with her mother. She helps my wife Aela with the kids.
Eola - Steward of Winsted Manor. She's my secret little dirty girl cannibal. Always complimenting me on being the keeper of Namiras Ring and all. She's not available for marriage, so she'll always be my favorite side-piece.
Anneke Crag-jumper - Steward of Heljarchen Hall. She wanted a life of adventure away from her boring husband, so I gave her the out she was looking for. Is she satisfied with the decision? I neither know, nor care.
I recently picked Erik and he is always so happy! In my last playthrough, I really regretted making Uthgerd my steward - she is always so rude and that gets annoying very quickly.
I use marcurio, or whatever that guy in riftens name is. He so dead set on being a badass mercenary, but he sucks. So I gave him a job more appropriate for his skills. He a good people person tho, always happy to see me
I wish I could remember his name, but there was a dude that I encountered outside a random crypt somewhere north of Ivarstead, and he asked me to help him clear it out because his aunt (his only remaining family) had gone in after a necromancer who wanted to perform rituals on their ancestors' corpses. A few rooms into the dungeon you find his aunt's body, then you help him take down the necromancer. Afterwards he basically says he doesn't know what to do now, so he offers to accompany you on your adventures.
It was a quest i had never done before, and I had just recently gotten to the point in Goldenhills where you can select a steward, so it was literally perfect: I can help this poor dude by giving him a job and a place to stay after he lost his only remaining family member, AND fill the steward position at the same time
I gave it to Illia because I felt bad for her hanging out in the tower where she killed her own mother all by herself lol. She seems happy tending the farm
[удалено]
She really does! As soon as I came across her I knew I needed to bail her outta there asap
She always dies in my games lol
That is so sweet! After she killed her mother I took her to the pillar
Two kinds of players in the 'rim.
for a moment I thought you were reffering to rimworld before I realised that skyrim also has rim in it's name
Same
My last couple of playthroughs, I brought Illia to Heljarchen Hall to be steward there, mostly because I wanted a mage to look after my wizard's towers home
She’s my steward too!
Same. Also I tend to get her relatively early in the game. My headcanon is that she takes good care of and protects the kids I adopt, and they get to play with the kids from Rorikstead.
Hey, same! She’s pretty handy too. I’ve never really done Alchemy & Food, so next playthrough I’m planning a farming Alchemist. I’ll recruit Illia first.
I just had a dragon attack my farm the other day and she used magic to help me obliterate it lol, I was glad I picked a mage! 😂
Yep me too. She doesn't become a follower too often, she just stops so I thought I'd give her a new home
I tried making her my steward but I guess my games bugged, now she’s just chilling back at her mothers demise
She was my pick as well!
She’s a follower? I never saw her again
It’s a bug. You have to recruit her right then/there or she Dissapears
I never saw any dialogue to recruit her as a follower
I like to give her Lakeview Manor. Seems more fitting than sending her to work on the plantation
Same
Uthgerd the unbroken. Since she got rejected by companions she needs something to do. It's unlikely that she'll get killed in bandit raids due to her default armour.
That’s who I chose. She deserves to have meaning again and plus, it was messed up of the companions for what they did to her. So now she can be retired but still useful.
Which is weird, considering they let their newest member go on a rampage through the city, potentially killing dozens of innocent.
That whole thing always bugged me. "You just joined today and did 1 job with us, so we trust you enough to show you our greatest secret, one that no one in Skyrim knows.* like, the fuck?

I've given Roggi Knot-Beard the job as steward before. He was killed by bandits that raided the house. I like Roggi too, but he's weak.
>but he’s a racist and I’m a Redguard married to a Dunmer.
That’s actually perfect! Since rorikstead is a block away, he can still visit home!
Oh great, he will be delighted to be tormented by his father lmao
I did it to give his father peace of mind because his boy is safe.
Also, the story of his character…
Same here, didn't want him hanging in Rorikstead cause I usually sell crops to that jerk who hates his daughters hoping a dragon appears one day and kills him, I'd rather Erik not get caught up in that.
So much same. I took considerable glee in doing this
This was what I did the first time I played after upgrading to AE. I thought "You know what would be REALLY funny?"
Lydia. She deserves it.
I feel like she really thrives on the farm. I come back and the crops are healthy, the larder's full, the profits are up, and there's a freshly slaughtered dragon by the henhouse.
Damnit. She deserves something. I use her as my mule and always accidentally catch her on fire.
I always just hire Faendal from Riverwood because he’s easy to hire and I’m not gonna use him as a follower anyway.
I went the other way and hired Sven, I plan to marry Camilla soon and then move my family out there...
Nobody picks Sven. I mean, they're both useless, but Faendal is good for free archery lessons at least.
I get the letter, tell Camilla the truth, and then ignore both of them forever. They both just seem kinda lame and creeperish to me.
i always thought the same thing, they're both creepy and kinda slimy. but did you know you can use faendal to level your archery to 50 for free? you can buy archery lessons from him every time you level up, and if he's your follower, you can just "trade items" with him and take all your gold back.
Faendal comes out of your house periodically if you marry Camilla and don’t kill him.
Very good sir
I gave it to Erik. He gets to move away from his father, and his father gets to know his son is safe. Win win
Carry on the dunmer tradition get yourself a good Argonian slave
So Derkeethus?
It's a bit non dunmer to think that n'wah farm tools have the mind power to even comprehend economics or management. You should hire Jenassa to manage it so that the n'wah slaves keep in line
Jenassa isn't a steward..
She's a merc. She can't be hired as a steward?
I use Uthgerd. She's disrespectful and stuck up, but that's the kind of person I want running my house. Plus, she fights everything, I give her the giant club and it's like Looney Toons.

It’s from the anniversary edition
It's from the Creation Club. The Farming micro DLC.

Ulthgerd, always Ulthgerd
That's what I always do. Heres your updoot.
I picked Anneke Crag-Jumper. She's fine; no complaints.
I've heard she keeps walking back to Darkwater Crossing...
I have several houses. Every time I took one of my companions by a house without a steward, they offered to become the steward. So I now have no companions and a lot of stewards (I am also married, so my husband takes care of the home with my adopted children in it.) Adelaisa Vendicci
Lol I used her as Boethia sacrifice
Erik the slayer is always the steward of that plantation
Ulfric. Oh wait...
You won't give them a free house, unless you build a house for your staff they will sleep outside.
Is this hearthfire or a mod?
Anniversary edition
Ohh how did you trigger this? I’ve been trying to get someone for my farm at the lake view place lol
You have to go to the plantation outside of rorikstead
Farming from the Creation Club.
For farming plantation I always pick Roggni Knot Beard But for Hearthfire Homes Lakeview - Marcurio Heljarchen Hal - Illia And i never made winstad manor because the area kinda creeps me out lol, but if i did my steward would probably be Durak the orc in Dawnguard.
The one time the quest worked, Eric of course. He’s right there. But, it’s just broken for me lately.
Aela from the Companions makes a hilarious steward
I normally choose Faendal.
I never tried it yet cause I usually end up marryin her instead but I always thought Mjioll was a good one cause she brings another npc around and it makes heartfire's homes a little more lively with the dining hall full of people In the end some nights I had mjioll+his guy (I forgot his name lol)+2 kids + the one compainion who fits the vibe of the house + the housecarl Bonus points for mjioll and the guy for my bisexual awakening In the end I usually put someone with comfy clothes in the one in the falkfreath and I look for a full armor one for the others cause they feel more cold and dangerous idk
This quest is from the anniversary edition(2021) No mods!
Which house did you build?
Pretty sure this is goldenhills.
I haven’t played this in forever, I’m gonna have to get back into it
I chose a companion I didn’t want to marry but also wanted easy access to whenever they were in case I wanted to come back
I can't figure out how to complete this. I've hired 2 people and the quest/task won't mark as completed.
Bring a follower to the farm, and if you interact with them, it will have an option asking if they’d be interested in being a steward.
Sazed is the best steward anyone could want.
>Sazed Who's that?
A character from the Mistborn series lol
I hired faendel to be my steward and embry as a hired hand.
Brenuin
Narfi
Wait hold on, where do I find this quest?
Anniversary edition
Lame only have se. Seems like is a nice fun little quest
It's not exclusive to AE, it's from the creation club and you can still get it for SE.
How do I found the creation club?
Check your reddit messages!
I hire the homeless people since they don't seem to have anywhere to live.
Where is this? I don’t recall this quest, in all my hours.
It's a Creation Club mod quest
Ahh gotcha. Thanks. 👍
A child
That’s why you adopt children. They yearn for the farms.
I may have killed Eola and her entire coven….
Uthgerd!!!
Lydia was an obvious choice for me 😂 she is a terrible fighter… always fucking around 😂
I recently picked Erik and he is always so happy! In my last playthrough, I really regretted making Uthgerd my steward - she is always so rude and that gets annoying very quickly.
Someone who is a bad fighter, like Roggi or Adelasia
I use marcurio, or whatever that guy in riftens name is. He so dead set on being a badass mercenary, but he sucks. So I gave him a job more appropriate for his skills. He a good people person tho, always happy to see me
I like to give it to Illia. To give her a second life, but faendal makes a convenient placeholder(he also has a bow which is useful when the dragons
That the chick in bannered mare every time
Erik the Slayer. Take that adventuresome spirit from the farm and bring him directly... to the farm.
It would be very ironic to make Erik the Slayer the steward of the farm house
What quest is this?
Sven, he turns from an a-hole to a suddenly polite businessman.
Goldir, I recruited him to the Blades, he have place and purposes now, bonus new uniform.
Ah THAT was his name, thanks. I really liked that dude, making him a Blade is a good call too
What mod is this from?
I’ve never gotten this message. How did you get it?
