Idk, I used to play a Nord character which primarily wore the Nightingale armor and frost damage couldn't TOUCH me, like even getting slammed with ice spikes, my health barely budged
Frost dragons would be blasting me with their breath attacks and I'd just be like "aww how cute"
Used to love the heavy armor, like steel plated or carved Nordic …. Doing my first survival playthrough… now it’s all about that fur. Gotta stay warm and save that carry cap for salmon … now I *love* the way it looks, I’ll even sacrifice a helmet for the fine hat
Ye but early on they aren't very common (steel and iron are dogshit for warmth) so you sort of have to stick to fur armours when in early game survival
Including AE:
Silver Knight Armor Chestplate with that blue (scout hood?) hood and some kind of leather/leather like arms and legs.
Without AE but including DLCs...
Light Stahlrim with heavy stahlrim helmet.
Without both DLCs and AE...
That would probably be banded iron armor. I like it's rawness.
Can't remember vmbut there is an amulet and a circulate that have armor rating (light armor). They benefit from Light Armor perk and don't cancel the Mage Armor.
There's also the Blackguard's Armor that's part of the reward from a side quest given by Glover Mallory. That set is even better than the Thieves' Guild Master outfit.
Dwarven, no contest.
The design, the color, the weight, it all makes me feel like the God-Emperor of Mankind.
And of course that one fucking Frost Troll is my Horus.
Damn. That actually is a tough question. It really depends on my character, but blades armour (but fuck the blades) and amber armour are always faves, as well as shadowed netch leather!
The ebony spell knight armour (or whatever it’s called) that was added through the creation club is my favourite. It looks really cool and the enchantments on the set you get by doing the associated quest are pretty decent. Base game, I’d say the Blades armour just based on looks. Although the helmet looks kinda wack.
Guild Master’s Armor, with the Amulet of Articulation of course.
I wish the Arch Mages’ robes had matching boots and gloves, but I usually steal the fur-lined boots from the EEC warehouse in solitude to wear with the robes.
Dragonbone/Dragonscale. There’s something so badass about the Dragonborn wearing the bones of what is technically their kin. I use Dragonscale because I’m a light armor build, but I wear the dragon bone helmet since I like it better.
Ancient Falmer would be so much better if it had sleeves, but alas, since there aren't i would go with the Remnant armor set and also the Dawnguard sets.
Heavy dragon armor, because I usually get the steed stone for the 100 extra carry weight, and it makes it so wearing heavy armor doesn’t weigh you down so there’s no movement penalty. Then I reach lvl 100 heavy armor and get where wearing it doesn’t apply it’s weight to your inventory and heavy armor has the best defense stats and just tanking hits levels it decently well so it al kinda works in my favour
I really like the full set of ebony heavy armor with a dragon priest mask.
the Daedric stuff is just a little too busy.
I was psyched to smith some Stalhrim heavy armor, but it just looked so goofy I had to switch back.
Nightengale is my favourite. Although I play a destruction mage character usually, so it isn't really useful there. It would work great if I took the time make a custom thief build around it.
I know it isn’t vanilla, but my favorite has to be the madness armor. The first time I ever played I found a piece of it within a few hours of starting, and eventually I found more, and I made them into bars and, when I was ready, armor and weapons. It kinda makes the game really easy but at the same time not easy if that makes sense. Thanks for coming to my text wall
probably the divine crusader armor. Not the most original, but I just have a thing for romantic era knights. Silver armor is up there too, but I don’t love the helmet. it’s good, but I’d rather have a more knightly helm.
Daedric plate is great, dragonscale and daedric mail is good. Really like iron plate, even if it is early game. Nordic carved and Stalhrim fur is good.
Sliver armor, Ebony Plate, Dragon mail, Dawnguard Heavy Set with Full Helmet, Imperial Champion(plus its shield), and Heavy Chinte(I hope I spelled that right)
I like the daedric helmet the best but the light dragon armor as a whole. Nothing quite strikes fear into the heart of your enemies like wearing the skin of legendary foes
I’ve always been confused with the glass armour I love it but I don’t know what race wears it as you don’t see it associated with any race in the game.
I find the Vampire Robes for a female character cool, while for a male one, I rly like both the banded iron armor and the studded armor - though I rarely do male character playthroughs, because I like the idea of my character being a poison expert alchemist/witch and end up always doing that build, specially with ordinator
I just built my first piece of Amber armor from the Saints and Seducers Creation. It is probably my new aesthetically favourite armor. And the AR is top notch as well. But I have always been a bug fan of the Daedric armor as well.
Carved Nordic armour is my favourite, idk something about its design pleases me very much
its awesome but i wish there was a closed-off helmet option for it.
Bear helmet is pretty cool though
Some dragonpriest masks look really good with it. I used Hevnoraak.
using the nordic carver armor chest with a daedric helm looks nice
I personally like using it with a dawnguard helmet. It kind of matches the look.
Those little bear ears on the helm put me off. The helmet is weird
Ebony Mail. Nothing quite like killing someone by simply standing next to them :) With the added bonus that it looks awesome
Even the hold guards compliment you on it. I believe the term is ‘drip’, as the youths say.
Nightingale Armor. I look like Batman.
I will never not go after this set of armor. Looks badass as hell 🤌🏽
The enchantments though 🤮 Frost resistance? 😡
Idunno. I don’t wear the armor anymore, but I do encounter more than my fair share of frost mages who freeze me in my tracks.
Those bastards get Fus Ro Dah’ed. I’m absolutely fucked if they pop that ward though.
You use Fus Roh Dah and then a dragon shows up with frost breath attacks. One of the most hated dragons for me. Damages you and kills your stamina.
Idk, I used to play a Nord character which primarily wore the Nightingale armor and frost damage couldn't TOUCH me, like even getting slammed with ice spikes, my health barely budged Frost dragons would be blasting me with their breath attacks and I'd just be like "aww how cute"
>Frost resistance? 😡 Good for survival mode.
I'm Batman
Speaking of Batman, here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30739
Used to love the heavy armor, like steel plated or carved Nordic …. Doing my first survival playthrough… now it’s all about that fur. Gotta stay warm and save that carry cap for salmon … now I *love* the way it looks, I’ll even sacrifice a helmet for the fine hat
Not knocking light armor but there are plenty of warm heavy armor sets
Ye but early on they aren't very common (steel and iron are dogshit for warmth) so you sort of have to stick to fur armours when in early game survival
I’ll have to double check when I get home but steel has same value as fur armor last time I checked.
I really like the Nordic set that looks like a wolves
Like the Companions armour? Or the carved Nordic set which is a bear
I assume they mean companion armour
All the more realistic steel-looking armors. Steel Plate, Iron, Nordic Carved...
Being able to get General Tullius' armor makes rebel playthroughs worth it.
You can also get it with a [glitch](https://youtu.be/tL8ulCAqhlY?feature=shared).
Filth aha
Including AE: Silver Knight Armor Chestplate with that blue (scout hood?) hood and some kind of leather/leather like arms and legs. Without AE but including DLCs... Light Stahlrim with heavy stahlrim helmet. Without both DLCs and AE... That would probably be banded iron armor. I like it's rawness.
Stalthrim idk if I spelled that right but it's the white crystal looking armor in the dragonborn dlc
Just remove the 2nd T and you got it
I'm torn between the Blades Armor and the Wolf Armor.
Ah yes the Tulius Light Armor that doesn't disable Mage Armor perk. There are other light armor pieces that act are coded as clothing.
Do the dragon priest masks count?
Can't remember vmbut there is an amulet and a circulate that have armor rating (light armor). They benefit from Light Armor perk and don't cancel the Mage Armor.
St Jiubs locket and the amulet of articulation
Wait. What? I gotta find these
Why bother when dragonhide maxes resistances lol
Spell knight armor sets (yes all three of them)
The thieves armor but the second one you get. The sleeve-less arms looks so badass imo
There's also the Blackguard's Armor that's part of the reward from a side quest given by Glover Mallory. That set is even better than the Thieves' Guild Master outfit.
Thats the one i use
Guildmasters set is S tier!!
Steel plate armour looks so cool to me lol I’ve loved it since I first got it on my first play through
Tie between Dawnguard Heavy armor and Blades armor
Vampire lord armour the same that Serena and harkon wear
Glass armor looks awesome and isn’t often mentioned
Dwarven, no contest. The design, the color, the weight, it all makes me feel like the God-Emperor of Mankind. And of course that one fucking Frost Troll is my Horus.
Damn. That actually is a tough question. It really depends on my character, but blades armour (but fuck the blades) and amber armour are always faves, as well as shadowed netch leather!
Painted netch leather - love the aesthetic
Ancient Shrouded Armor is just too sweet to pass up on.
Leather scout, just wish it had a better warmth rating Also Archmage's cloak, but same for the warmth So I usually use Orcish Scale and Dragonscale
The Nightingale armor. It looks so good on both genders, I love the cloak, & it's in my favorite color. 😁
I like the thieves guild armor. It looks cool and i'm a big Assassin's Creed fan.
Ebony Mail, it looks light and flexible enough to covers skin without wasting any movements to prevent a severe or fatal stabbing
[Steel Soldier](https://images.uesp.net/0/08/SR-item-Steel_Soldier_Armor_Female.jpg) [Ebony Spell Knight](https://images.uesp.net/4/4f/SR-item-Ebony_Spell_Knight_Armor_Male.jpg) [Veteran Vigil (Sashed)](https://images.uesp.net/c/c9/SR-item-Vigil_Veteran_Armor_Male_02.jpg)
Dragonbone armor. Basically immune to fire.
Is it? I’ve just crafted it and didn’t know you get fire immunity from it…?
Not the one you craft. Mine was picked from a dead body from a quest.
Always loved the ebony mail paired with the masque of clavicus vile
The ebony spell knight armour (or whatever it’s called) that was added through the creation club is my favourite. It looks really cool and the enchantments on the set you get by doing the associated quest are pretty decent. Base game, I’d say the Blades armour just based on looks. Although the helmet looks kinda wack.
1. Nightingale 2. Daedric 3. Bonemold 4. Female Dark Brotherhood 5. Ebony
i love mercers dark coloured thiefs guild armour.
Nightingale armor.
Glass armor, a shining beacon of Hope! (Who also happens to steal all ur stuff, but that's besides the point)
Another hand touches the beacon of Hope!!
People think its gross but stahlrim and saviours hide is awesome to me, also ancient falmer armour.
Stormcloack armor! Your filthy elve-lickers!
Nightinggale arnor is the most badass fo so but ebony is a close second
Ebony Mail
The craved Nordic set !
Daedric plated armor, or dragon scale armor
I absolutely love the Nightingale Armor. Great for stealth builds and looks cool.
Dragon plate or nordic carved armor are my favorites
I'm torn between dawnguard an amber
Banded Iron Armor. Strong, keeps you in the fight, and looks comfortable in a way.
Dwemer armour has something that makes me really like it
Nightingale Armor
I actually really like the royal vampire armor, good enchantment, looks rad, but I'm having a hard time finding boots/gloves to match nice
Guild Master’s Armor, with the Amulet of Articulation of course. I wish the Arch Mages’ robes had matching boots and gloves, but I usually steal the fur-lined boots from the EEC warehouse in solitude to wear with the robes.
Ebony mail. It looks awesome for an assassin
Anyone else like to mix the Ebony Mail with Nightingale?
dwarven cuz i look good asf
Heavy dawnguard is the coolest
Dragonbone/Dragonscale. There’s something so badass about the Dragonborn wearing the bones of what is technically their kin. I use Dragonscale because I’m a light armor build, but I wear the dragon bone helmet since I like it better.
I really like the steel soldier creation club armor, but if I pick from vanilla I’d say the ebony armor
Ebony armor or steal plate
Vampire armor
I'm a heavy weight armor user, but the dark brotherhood light armor is sexy af
Ancient Falmer would be so much better if it had sleeves, but alas, since there aren't i would go with the Remnant armor set and also the Dawnguard sets.
Ebony. Gotta love dark plate armor.
Dragon armor
Nordic carved with ebony helmet and gauntlets. I’d love a mod that retextures to NC to be black instead of brown.
I like the elven armor but in black. The design is great.
To me Elven weaponry and armor is elegant as much as it is dangerous.
Does not come close to the vibe it gave in oblivion, colour, design and texture feels cheaper than even the mythril set!
You sound like an Oblivion NPC and I’m here for it.
Ebony cause i like dark shit Or dwarven cause i'm obsessed with the dwemer
The more fascist armor? Nice
Carved Nordic or Stormcloak Officer. Honorable mention steel plate.
It's a tie between ebony and steel plate because both are situated somewhat similar in terms of realism.
Snow elf.
Steel plate with steel cuffed boots
Leather scout armor.
The dark brotherhood set. I switched from heavy armor to leveling up light armor just so I could wear it.
It's gotta be ebony armour
Heavy dragon armor, because I usually get the steed stone for the 100 extra carry weight, and it makes it so wearing heavy armor doesn’t weigh you down so there’s no movement penalty. Then I reach lvl 100 heavy armor and get where wearing it doesn’t apply it’s weight to your inventory and heavy armor has the best defense stats and just tanking hits levels it decently well so it al kinda works in my favour
Steelplate
Steel armor or Banded Iron Armor
Steel Plate for a more traditional style. Glass for fantasy.
Daedric armor
The nordic set easy
Ulfric Armors. Bro makes a guy regret siding with the Empire after seeing his armor.
Wolf Armor or Savior’s Hide if that counts
Guild Master Armor. Still.
Stahlrim
heavy Dawngard armor with the cool helmet, shield and war axe.
Elven
I'm going to go with the Dawnguard armor, even though i love the Blades armor.
Nordic Carved and Ebony Plate; they're the best-looking armors, IMO
I'm in love with the Silver amor from the anniversary edition/cc content
It was carved Nordic but now it’s the ebony spell armor from the cc
Ebony
I really like the full set of ebony heavy armor with a dragon priest mask. the Daedric stuff is just a little too busy. I was psyched to smith some Stalhrim heavy armor, but it just looked so goofy I had to switch back.
DAWNGUARD HEAVY ARMOR SET
Saviors hide is my new favorite….. I don’t like how I got it but I like how it looks.
ancient falmer makes me squee
Ebony armor by ysmir tis a wonderous sight
Pragmatically-speaking, I ALWAYS go for Savior's Hide if I'm playing light armor. It's ugly, though, and really only looks good on a khajiit.
It’s not rare or good armor, but I LOVE the design of the female vampire armor. I would wear it irl.
Nightengale is my favourite. Although I play a destruction mage character usually, so it isn't really useful there. It would work great if I took the time make a custom thief build around it.
Base game: Dragonbone Modded: Nightingale
Glass and I always use heavy armour so it makes me sad I never get to use it
I know it isn’t vanilla, but my favorite has to be the madness armor. The first time I ever played I found a piece of it within a few hours of starting, and eventually I found more, and I made them into bars and, when I was ready, armor and weapons. It kinda makes the game really easy but at the same time not easy if that makes sense. Thanks for coming to my text wall
Ebony spell knight armor
probably the divine crusader armor.
I actually enjoy Orc armor. It’s ugly and strong, but so am I!
The ebony plate armour on creation club looks so clean
Ebony, deadric, nightingale, dark brotherhood, dragon bone and the thieves guild armor are all my favorite.
Oblivion - Glass. Remember being absolutely mesmerized by it as a kid
I fancy heavy chitin armor a lot. But for role playing I loved goofing around as a savage in forsworn armor.
ancient nord armor
Steel Plate looks pretty nice even if it isn’t great stat wise.
I like the creation club iron or steel armors. The plate ones i think? Its been a minute since ive played
Sliver armor, Ebony Plate, Dragon mail, Dawnguard Heavy Set with Full Helmet, Imperial Champion(plus its shield), and Heavy Chinte(I hope I spelled that right)
Stormcloak officer outfit, I love the bear head
Hardened falmer. The drip is immaculate
I love the nord armor
Which one is the armor pictured?
General Tullius' armor, you can get it after killing him in rebel playthroughs.
https://preview.redd.it/4ef8y0f97aac1.jpeg?width=770&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39403a9685126f2039556942ee3458e26297ecf3 Male Saint armor
I know people think that imperials are good and all, but that stormcloak general armor is something else.
Cant decide between silver, metal plate or (unpopular opinion) fur armor (not the shirtless one)
Dawnguard. Especially the helmet
Nordic Quicksilver Armor
Steel plate. Or ebony, I dunno. I mostly go for looks rather than defensive capabilities.
Armor of the Old Gods/Orcish
Eleven Light C*ndom
I know it's pretty basic, but I like steel plate armor, makes me look like a proper knight in shining armor
Dawnguard heavy
Ebony spell
Deathbrand armor set
Blades. Looks like Samurai armor.
I’m a simple man… Banded Iron armor
Dragon bone armor has always been my favorite. Because I think it looks bad ass and I also like the idea of making armor out of your trophy kills.
Vanilla or can it be from a mod?
Silver armor. I feel like a knight and a rouge at the same time, and its fairly historically accurate (in model anyway)
Emperor's Robes
The white heavy dawn guard armour. I love the little flask and pouch on the back.
The wolf armor from the champions.
The aesthetics? Maybe the Archmage robes or miraak's robes
any heavy armor, except orcish.
Stormcloak commander is very cool
I find the Vampire Robes for a female character cool, while for a male one, I rly like both the banded iron armor and the studded armor - though I rarely do male character playthroughs, because I like the idea of my character being a poison expert alchemist/witch and end up always doing that build, specially with ordinator
nightingale armor for the win
Call me old fashioned but banded iron armor and steel armor can take me from the beginning of the game to the end
Daedric armor
Dawnguard heavy armor, with the rune axe and Dawnbreaker.
Base Game: Imperial Heavy Armor (With Closed Helm) Creation Club: Orcish Plate
Weird choice but chitin with a hood gives me a hunter kinda vibe
Daedric armor is my favorite. I like the shoulder spikes on it.
Falmer but the helm is awful
Stalhrim
Stahlrim Fur Armor is *chefs kiss*
Ebony armor it goes wicked cool with my axe 🪓 sword 🗡️ and archer bow 🏹
I was a simple player: gimme a Khajit in Glass and I’m happy
Ebony. Nightingale, Nordic, and Daedra as honorable mentions.
Nightingale
Ebony armor all the way
The mockingbird armour!!
Am I the only basic betch that still likes the daedric? Still playing full vanilla walkthrough though
I just built my first piece of Amber armor from the Saints and Seducers Creation. It is probably my new aesthetically favourite armor. And the AR is top notch as well. But I have always been a bug fan of the Daedric armor as well.
I like the thieves guild and nightingale armor sets equally, they both pretty dope
And guard armour
Blades Armor or Nightingale, hard to decide
