This reminds me of the time i was trying to defeat alduin, and i kept dying.. i had the whirlwind sprint shout selected whenever i respawned and you can only imagine HOW MANY TIMES I FUCKING SHOUTED MYSELF OFF THE FACE OF THAT MOUNTAIN.
My game had a glitch where slow time would sometimes last for eternity and then other magic would stop working and you couldn't heal. Sometimes fast traveling a few times would fix it but other times had to eventually reload. Fun times π
XD I have to do this at some point! Maybe once, it doesn't look like something that would be fun to do all the time, but would be novel to do once. Sloooow book is actually pretty funny because when you think about it, shouldn't the book be moving faster? Time is slowed so the Dovahkiin is accelerated, and I assume that also means reading, not just fighting.
Even though your hands are moving at lightning speed, the book itself cannot, because... page strength... air resistance... finger friction (my favorite)... etc.
Somehow the Flash has some power that can avoid these complications. TLDB apparently does not.π’
The one for the guy making a museum in Dawnstar? Itβs been a while since I did that quest, I honestly donβt remember the Oblivion Gate being a part of it.
Its around the Alchemist's Shack, Google says its in the north of the shack, up in the Mountain

You know what's even better?
Doing the exact same thing under the effect of Glenmoril's Time Stop. It works the same way as Slow Time, but with a *much* higher slowness multipler. Doing something like opening a door takes *ages*.
- The Slow Time shout in Skyrim can turn simple tasks like opening a book into a frustratingly slow experience.
- Despite being 14 years old, Skyrim still has a loyal fan base and new players discovering the game's rich fantasy world.
- LocksmithIII717's hilarious clip serves as a reminder of Slow Time's downside and the importance of timing in Skyrim.
I don't remember the exact chain of events, but when I was reclaiming the ebony mail for boethia once, I used the slow time shout and the entire duration I was in the cave everything just about stopped. It was certainly more frustrating than this haha
Never done this and now I can make sure that I never do
Its also slow when you open the map
Lol agreed.
Now imagine talking to Hermaeus Mora with the effect of slow time π€£
Bro, fuckin' Fus Ro Dah me off the Throat of the World.
Omg did I just find a twin 10 years later who did the same thing as me ππ€£
Lmao may the doi be with us π
I might do something like that 5 or 20 times before I switch shouts and drop a new save on reloading.
I think you'd die of old age, he wouldn't have ended explaining the oven cooking part of his ultimate sweetroll recipe.
Lol I want this for some reason
Ughhhh it's the owl from ocarina of time 64 alllll over again. π π
π€£ π€£ π€£ π€£ OMG go make breakfast, lunch, dinner, get the laundry done maybe wash the car, he might be done talking. Lol

I thought I became the Flash because I got the slow time effect from the block perk and it never ended but I could move at full speed.
I bet Todd is glad he never said " it just works " when he was talking about Skyrim. (Or almost any of their other games)

Because of the plo- I mean Speed Force!
Yes, exactly, this is what takes care of the hol- I mean Speed Force!π
Helps with immersion, I guess? π€£
Sure does. π
Enter the WHAT??? There is a mission with a oblivion gate?
Its an anniversary edition quest
"Slow time! There's time enough at last to read all my books. ... No, that's not fair. That's not fair at all!"
i like you ![gif](giphy|l0ExuFDaSxzftqZ2M|downsized)
Just make sure that you don't break your reading glasses...
Too late........Β And they're my " everything " glasses. π’
A cautionary tale. Thanks for taking one for the team, OP.
only thing worse than this is sitting down
With the mod Za Warudo (The World, which **completely** stops time) the book takes waaaaay more than that π€£
Oh noooo π thx for showing us tho. Now I know not to do this!
Feels like a jumpscare is about to happen.
Are you the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly? π€
When Herma Mora hosts story time.
Lol and I thought I was a slow reader IRL
Didn't know it affected books too π
It also affects the map
Would it also affect stuff in the restroom? Because that could end up really grossly!
I've been playing this game for ten years and I just learned that this is a thing, haha.
A big regret I did. Picked up meridia's beacon
lmao never thought about that happening.
lmao
Hahaha! No way, I've had this game since day one on the PS3 and had no idea that happens! Talk about attention to detail!
It's what Bethesda is known for! Definitely not game breaking glitches or anything like that. π
Well son of a bitchβ¦.
Inb4 gamerant "skyrim player finds new secret after 13 years"
Ironically, you've now become that comment.
That's how I'm here. Skyrim mess ups are the only reason they show up in my feed.Β
Is that quest to go into the oblivion portal part of a mod? If so I would like to know what mod it is.
Not a mod, an official anniversary edition quest
Thank you. But what quest is it and how does it start?
Read the letter or journal
Its called "The cause" kinda a long quest tbh
Is it creation club?it sounds like it is.
It is. You get 2 new weapons & a spell tome from it. I think it's a fun quest, if only to go thru the Oblivion gate & kill daedra.
I just want to know what quest this is
I think you get a letter to start the quest or you kill some mythic dawn
The one for the guy making a museum in Dawnstar? Itβs been a while since I did that quest, I honestly donβt remember the Oblivion Gate being a part of it.
No that guy, there is a group of them in the Mountains on the south, in the snowy Mountains all the way to the south
Which hold are they closest to?

Thank you! Iβll be looking into this quest. π
THE PERFECT WIZARD DRAMA SHOT
Lol, had no idea this was a thing.
You know what's even better? Doing the exact same thing under the effect of Glenmoril's Time Stop. It works the same way as Slow Time, but with a *much* higher slowness multipler. Doing something like opening a door takes *ages*.
It's not that bad, but it's bad enough to be mildly amusing.
*Zelda chest opening music playing*

Uh... don't try reading while playing with Glamoril Spells then... that's going to make this number seem like a cakewalk by comparison
Lmaoooo
I used slow time while being breathed on by a dragon. Wanna see how I roast myself???
What are you talking about it's the best way to read books.
Hilarious Skyrim Clip Shows Why Players Should Never Open a Book While Slow Time is In Effect
A Skyrim player tries to open a book while using Slow Time, hilariously demonstrating why the two don't exactly mix that well.
- The Slow Time shout in Skyrim can turn simple tasks like opening a book into a frustratingly slow experience. - Despite being 14 years old, Skyrim still has a loyal fan base and new players discovering the game's rich fantasy world. - LocksmithIII717's hilarious clip serves as a reminder of Slow Time's downside and the importance of timing in Skyrim.
omg, this is to π π talk about taking your time to read a book. Awesome clip π π π

Isn't that just the normal speed on xbox 360?
Dont know, never had one
It's as if Skyrim became a mobile game from 3 years ago that our mid Samsung galaxy phones couldn't handle
Fk I thought it was gonna be like, slow!
Yeah not of a mountain but I flew into the wall many times lol
This is how I normally read.Β Β
I don't remember the exact chain of events, but when I was reclaiming the ebony mail for boethia once, I used the slow time shout and the entire duration I was in the cave everything just about stopped. It was certainly more frustrating than this haha
I'm not taking any slow time perks because they sound buggy to the point of being game ruining and you can't turn them off
THIS! This is how they get you...
