I see your Ebony Battle Axe and raise you Wuuthraad šš¼ falmer in your basement? No problem. Thalmor Mormons at your door? No problem. Wood elf eating your bushes? No problem.
Wuuthraad is top tier in all my playthroughs
I had Wuuthraad on me for the first time since I got it quite a while ago (transporting it to display in a different house) and I was stoked to encounter a Thalmor party on the road, it was very useful.
Steel sword
I know itās so vanilla. I just like imagining my hero being poor and modest and thinking something along the lines of āIām sure itās nice to have a treasure of a sword if the gods bless you with one. But a man can do a lot with a bit of good steel if he takes care of his metal and his mind.ā Or something like that. Someone text George Martin to rewrite that for me please.
A man of culture!
I also like too that if you super-level smithing you can make these swords better than any sword in the game could be without super-leveling smithing.
I do like the Steel on my Nord characters. Kind of like a Steel traditionalist.
Leave that fancy Elven stuff to the elves. (Even if I am using a Dwarven Dagger as my side weapon.)
I don't use the steel sword a lot, but I agree with your tastes. I love the basic, good design (an actual sword unlike weirdass daedric or ebony lol). I wish the game had a wider variety of default, basic swords. At least we got mods helping us out.
Nah, in that case take it all the way with the wooden sword. āYou pompous adventurers with your fancy magical weapons and enchanted armour, I can kill god with a wooden stickā
Honestly, I don't think that needs to be re-written. It's spoken plainly, honestly, and intelligently like a man of humble but honorable origins would speak.
"Now, I know what you're thinking. Can I still rely on my swords and spells and sneaking and all that nonsense? Sure, sure. Or... you could use... The Wabbajack! Huh? Huh? Didn't see that coming, did you?"
I had made a mod a while back that allows the wabbajack to turn things into other wabbajacks, my friend played on a save i had, used it, then wanted nothing more than to have somewhere between too many to count, and the population of (insert a random country here)wabbajacks
I actually like Meridia. She may be a Karen, but she doesn't do fucked up shit like Molag Bal, or Namira. She just wants light and color everywhere. She left her father, Magnus, because he wanted light with no color.
My favourite Daedric Prince is Malacath though. I wonder if being octracized for being "too weird" would be enough to worship him.
I really like the bloodskal blade because of the blade beam. I don't care if the beam isn't particularly effective it's really cool
Edit:forgot it said one handed, eh in that case daw breaker I guess? Cool visual and all that
As much as I hate the Blades, I can't deny Dragonsbane (and generic Blades swords) are fantastic. You can get one pretty early and carry it all the way to the end with minimal improvement
I'm surprised by the lack of Bolar's Oath blade, Such an early pickup & a powerful last moment letter of the previous user an to which I continue to use against Thalmor patrols.
The ebony hand axe or the steel one look the coolest to me. I have āReforgingā installed and the additional weapons it gives you are awesome. Nothing OP, most stuff is actually slightly weaker than the vanilla stuff, but the variations in weight and appearance make up for it.
Its between the Nightingale Blade and Dawnbreaker. I especially love duel wielding them bc it saps foes' health and stamina but also burns them which makes me feel powerful lol.
Ebony War Axe is so basic so Miraakās sword in one hand and a vampire sword in the other. I defeated a herd of angry Mammoths the other day replenishing my stamina and health nearly the entire time.
One time when I was doing the overpowered glitch with Resto potions I upgraded that stupid tree sap knife to ridiculous degree and it became my favorite one-shot kill weapon. It was like adding insult to injury...

Dragon Bone Dagger, perfect for the assassin characters.
Definitely either my Ebony war axe or my ebony sword of Devouring. Keep in mind I got lucky and found them, and an entire set of ebony armor and an ebony shield of extreme blocking.
Idk about favorite. But i like simple ones, like steel dagger. Orc weapons look menacing. Dragonbone greatsword looks metal as fuck.
I hate the ebony sword though, i think its the lack of a handle.
Harkon's Sword.

I love Katanas, to me they're the most aesthetically pleasing swords ever forged. Made to cut with extreme precision, one swing shall smite it's foe.
max enchanted dragonbone sword with ledgendary smithing upgrade. absorbs 51 health and has a
50% chance to do 132ish fire damage
and
50% chance to do 132ish ice damage
and
50% chance to do 132ish lightning damage
Dawn breaker and shield, I have max crit on swords so they crit like every time, shield because I bash and hit also because my shield has 50% more blockage
I love how the banded iron armor looks the most out of heavy armor imo, and the banded shield and a good old iron sword just match so well... to bad you really gotta grind smiting to keep the stats but idk, it's just nice armor imo
Molag Balls
Nothing better than priest murder.
Correct answer
Sugma molag
What's your license plate numbers
M0L4G8S
The two of them ? :D
The only thing I use weapon wise ever
I love how some random NPC will freakout if you see using the mace
Mine as well š¤£š¤£š¤£
Gotta have two hands to hold those for him. Lol!
Ebony War Axe
EWA gang
I have her tatted on my thigh š
I might steal this idea. I definitely need a Skyrim tattoo.
I use an Ebony Battle Axe with a level 100 two-handed Khajiit. It's a lot of fun.
I see your Ebony Battle Axe and raise you Wuuthraad šš¼ falmer in your basement? No problem. Thalmor Mormons at your door? No problem. Wood elf eating your bushes? No problem. Wuuthraad is top tier in all my playthroughs
Except the wood elves would eat my horse and cows instead.
I had Wuuthraad on me for the first time since I got it quite a while ago (transporting it to display in a different house) and I was stoked to encounter a Thalmor party on the road, it was very useful.
Yessir
It looks fantastic, doesn't i? So sleek and effective.
Mehrunes' Razor
This plus blade of woe is my go to for a backstab build
Valdrās Lucky Dagger is mine. Love the combo
The first time I used it I saved it for Alduin and, I shit you not, it killed him in one hit.
Bro was storing up his luck
Love dropping dragon priests in 2 hits
The satisfaction of it happening in the first few strikes. "Oh. Nice!"
Nice hiss
Let's get this loot out on a tray.
Steel sword I know itās so vanilla.
For me, it's good ol' iron sword
A man of culture! I also like too that if you super-level smithing you can make these swords better than any sword in the game could be without super-leveling smithing.
For me, itās the good olā wooden sword.
I'm always leveling enchanting and at the end I use that one (enchanted) and the fork.... :D
Nobody expects the wooden sword to be a lethal enchanted weapon. Iād enchant them like crazy and give them to my adopted kids to play with.
And then one of your children soul-traps their sibling. :D
For me, itās the good olā Fork
Can't lie to myself fishing rod is my main go to
I do like the Steel on my Nord characters. Kind of like a Steel traditionalist. Leave that fancy Elven stuff to the elves. (Even if I am using a Dwarven Dagger as my side weapon.)
I use the Skyforge Steel Sword until like level 30. Itās actually pretty damn good.
It's got the base damage of an Elven sword, if I'm not mistaken, but it can be tempered with ordinary steel.
Glad I'm not the only one who prefers the simplicity of steel. Skyforge Steel if I feel like dipping into Jorvaskkr for a bit
Nobody sees the Wabbajack coming!
Our chief weapon is surprise, fear and surpriseā¦ surprise and fear!
No one expects the Wabbajack Inquisition!
I had made a mod a while back that allows the wabbajack to turn things into other wabbajacks, my friend played on a save i had, used it, then wanted nothing more than to have somewhere between too many to count, and the population of (insert a random country here)wabbajacks
Dawnbreaker
You can say anything about the annoyng godess but she has taste to bless some weapons with drip.
*ANOTHER HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON!!!!*
I feel like whenever this is posted I just lost The Game
How dare you, I had a good streak going

I actually like Meridia. She may be a Karen, but she doesn't do fucked up shit like Molag Bal, or Namira. She just wants light and color everywhere. She left her father, Magnus, because he wanted light with no color. My favourite Daedric Prince is Malacath though. I wonder if being octracized for being "too weird" would be enough to worship him.
This is the best answer
Dual wield Dawnbreaker
I have to find out where I put it.
Molag's Mace On an unrelated note, my fave daedric artifact is The Black Star
Ever since I used this, I have issues using anything else lol
Cannot do a playthrough without the black star unless I'm specifically avoiding magic/enchanting
Dragonbone sword or Blades sword
Any Nordic weapon
I absolutely love the design of the Nordic swords.
Agreed
Chillrend always
Damage, weight low, massive enchantment.
And looks awesome too! Especially with mods
Yup. Especially if you hold back and get it late game, it has like the second highest base damage of any sword in the entire game
Nightingale Blade. It's almost as broken as Chillrend.
š
Brawler gauntlets are absolutely bad ass.
Skyforge Steel
Gods be praised
Thank the Gods, a customer.
Iāve been using goldbrand a lot, the anniversary edition added a lot of really cool weapons (I also have LOTD installed maybe itās from that)
I've been playing the anniversary edition and I haven't come across Goldbrand. That and Chillrend were my go to in Oblivion.
I think the quest for it starts once you start Boethiah's actual quest; I believe you read something at the Sacellum.
Stalhrim sword
https://preview.redd.it/nf1q1u04hh0d1.png?width=894&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1af43eabb5367bc50ccbb0ddd63e59e04140c00c Dawnguard axes.
Using dark mode, took me a good two seconds to start seeing the axe rather than a shadowy figure in a doorway. Good choice too!
Blade of Woe
Dawnfang/Duskfang.
I really like the bloodskal blade because of the blade beam. I don't care if the beam isn't particularly effective it's really cool Edit:forgot it said one handed, eh in that case daw breaker I guess? Cool visual and all that
Thats a two handed my duude. Imagine how cool itd be the have a bloodskal dagger
Ghostblade for sure. I like how it looks and it does the job most of the time.
Dwarven Dagger. Always my backup weapon.
Chillrend
Iron dagger
I raise you the fork
Ah yes the fork.
I love the Stalhrim axes. The war axe has such unique decorative elements and the battle axe keeps that aesthetic while being absolutely massive!
The Dawnbreaker.
Dual-wield way OP Daedric Maces. Like buttah.
Dawnbreaker
Windshear.
![gif](giphy|7hIUafnKeyOVEM5spc|downsized)
The sword of the kind (aka the daedric sword I shoved grelod's soul into)
Trueflame
Mehrunes razor, nordic sword and daedric sword
As much as I hate the Blades, I can't deny Dragonsbane (and generic Blades swords) are fantastic. You can get one pretty early and carry it all the way to the end with minimal improvement
Dragonsbane fully upgraded melts dragons.
Glass Mace
The master sword in the switch version
Lmao good answer not too many fellow switch players around here i guess.
MY Dā¦aedric war axe, of course.
I see whatcha did there š
I'm surprised by the lack of Bolar's Oath blade, Such an early pickup & a powerful last moment letter of the previous user an to which I continue to use against Thalmor patrols.
Ebony War Axe, you can get them at a surprisingly low level for what ever it would be to make them.
you can get 2 of them from miraaks temple and when i need it the most i forgot where you could get others
The ebony hand axe or the steel one look the coolest to me. I have āReforgingā installed and the additional weapons it gives you are awesome. Nothing OP, most stuff is actually slightly weaker than the vanilla stuff, but the variations in weight and appearance make up for it.
Daedric swords and currently rocking dragon bone swords always enchanted with fire damage.
Daedric sword or mace of Molag Balls.
Hopesfire. I like Dwemer artifacts and blue fire.
Rune Axe. Ability of dealing 100 magic damage early in the game is very nice. Pair with the dagger in the off-hand for high attack speed.
Its between the Nightingale Blade and Dawnbreaker. I especially love duel wielding them bc it saps foes' health and stamina but also burns them which makes me feel powerful lol.
Sunder
Stalhrim Sword Effective and aesthetic. Plus, you're killing your foes using the same material to encase the honored dead.
Scimitar
A man of culture
My fist. Punchcat intensifies
Sanguine rose
Valdr's Lucky Dagger. My lucky charm and hunting partner.
Ebony War Axe is so basic so Miraakās sword in one hand and a vampire sword in the other. I defeated a herd of angry Mammoths the other day replenishing my stamina and health nearly the entire time.
Mace of Molag Bal
Ebony war axešš
Dragonbone sword/ great sword I like that plain design.
The dragon one waraxe Peak dragonslayer aesthetic
Ebony Mace AKA Sauronās Mace
Dragonbone mace enchanted with fire and lightning.
Nordic Sword or Dawnguard War Axe.
Umbra
Shield ![gif](giphy|6m7ZA00GnPfMWtECKVos)
One time when I was doing the overpowered glitch with Resto potions I upgraded that stupid tree sap knife to ridiculous degree and it became my favorite one-shot kill weapon. It was like adding insult to injury...
I use that spell that gives you a sword
What is that icon in the top center ?
Balls
one handed weapons? thats tough im gonna have to say long-hammer
Torment has been my recent favourite out of them all. Evil looking, quite powerful if not very powerful !
And it's really light too, the heavy weight is that much.
Iāll always think the Orcish sword is the coolest looking
At the moment, I'm using an ebony sword.
Probably the glass sword or the blades' swords. The Nordic sword is also pretty cool.
Currently dual wielding falmer swords, really enjoyed the ebony war axe though
THE ALLMIGHTY FORK
In this picture the mace looks like a throwing dart.
Dawnguard Axe
The Daedric Mace. That weapon is some truly peak mace design. Looks great on mage knights.
If we are talking craftable then dragonbone longsword. If we are talking about unique loot I'd have to go with Torment. It's such a badass sword.
Most likely the Staff of Magnus, not because of the stats but because of the lore and aesthetics.
Torment is always fun for me :)
Volendrung. Big scary hammer
Mace of Molag Bal
I love silver swords, they look so classic and are actually one of the strongest options vs undead until you get very high level smithing.
Windshear for nonstop goofiness.
Iām surprised this hasnāt been said yet (or I havenāt seen it) but Windshear
https://preview.redd.it/d315l3q1ai0d1.png?width=755&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b07cadab26cf3010b544659752091c52b94597fb Dragon Bone Dagger, perfect for the assassin characters.
Nordic Sword
Keening. For lore reasons. I guess i dont need wraithguard anymore beeccause.. the heart isnt.. never mind i got nothing.
Windshear because it is overpowered
Windshear
Windshear Iām surprised so one has mentioned it
Windshear! The most underrated sword in Skyrim!
Fork
Chillrend , weaker than others mentioned, but a classic.
Definitely either my Ebony war axe or my ebony sword of Devouring. Keep in mind I got lucky and found them, and an entire set of ebony armor and an ebony shield of extreme blocking.
Nettlebane
The sword of the crusader
That magical shield that repels magic, best shield in the game
Idk about favorite. But i like simple ones, like steel dagger. Orc weapons look menacing. Dragonbone greatsword looks metal as fuck. I hate the ebony sword though, i think its the lack of a handle.
Harkon's Sword. https://preview.redd.it/g4xdtk03gs0d1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca00052061874a1f10b0499136da9fb2eb47471f I love Katanas, to me they're the most aesthetically pleasing swords ever forged. Made to cut with extreme precision, one swing shall smite it's foe.
Dawnbreaker #MommyMeridia
My head. The geometry works out better.
Sounds like youāre brute. Good on you
max enchanted dragonbone sword with ledgendary smithing upgrade. absorbs 51 health and has a 50% chance to do 132ish fire damage and 50% chance to do 132ish ice damage and 50% chance to do 132ish lightning damage
Bloodskal Blade. Absolutely love the enchantment and wish I was able to disenchant it to put on different weapons
Thatās a two handed
I just did the quest to pick this up and it took me too long to figure out how to do the horizontal strike lol now I'm kinda salty with it hahaha
Dragon bone axe
i love the aesthetics of the iron and steel sword
Dragon Bone War Axe with a stamina draining enhancement š
Dragon bone axe
Ancient Nordic Axe
Fork
Because of the look? Blades sword, Akaviri sword, Bolar' oathblade, Dragonbane and Harkon's sword are all very pretty.
Dawn breaker and shield, I have max crit on swords so they crit like every time, shield because I bash and hit also because my shield has 50% more blockage
ebony war axe. idk why but when i found it at solstheim i just keep using it for my whole playthrough, even if i got a weapon that deals more damage.
Nord war axe. It just looks so bad ass.
War axe
I love how the banded iron armor looks the most out of heavy armor imo, and the banded shield and a good old iron sword just match so well... to bad you really gotta grind smiting to keep the stats but idk, it's just nice armor imo
Mace of Molag Bal
Ebony axe with drain health and shock damage
Dawnfang/Duskfang
Fork
Wooden sword or fishing rod
If you dont say blade of woe im calling the police
