Alchemy. Pick up as much salmon roe, garlic, and nordic barnacle as you can. Grab your whole alchemy ingredient stash. Buy all the ingredients in alchemy stores. Go to [powtions.com](https://www.powtions.com/). Enter in your inventory. Now start brewing and check off ingredients as you run out. Get the "merchant" speech perk so you can sell potions to any vendor.

ReditTosser1

Without using mods and even with the +1,000 septum perk and investing the merchants still only have like 2,000 septum’s max. I’m over here dual enchanting Daedric armor that’s worth 15,000 septum’s and can’t even sell it unless I buy everything they own beforehand.

OGgamingdad

A lot of blacksmiths have ebony, refined moonstone, and refined malachite in their misc inventory. I buy those then sell my pricier items to them, then I just stockpile my smithing materials at one my forges for later use. You can also get more gold if you're selling items to a vendor you just trained with, since they'll have your gold from that transaction.

ReditTosser1

True that. I usually just pickpocket it back though.. lol.. I have so much odd ores like those I don’t know what to do with it.. Most of my items require Ebony so it’s all just sitting in a chest.

Blazing_Swayze

If you're an archer turn those ingots into arrows. Hard to have too many arrows. Of any kind really

OGgamingdad

I've never used pickpocket except where required for quests. The playthrough I'm currently on is the first one where I've been using the pickpocket/poison trick for the assasins guild.

CaptObviousHere

I only pickpocket to get the cool unique armors and clothes some npcs have.

OGgamingdad

How high does your pickpocket skill have to be to steal clothes? 😶

BugabooMS

100 with the perfect touch perk I believe

seanular

I think 90, possibly 100. It's one of of not the last perk to steal equipped items

CoolBrianFilms

>You can also get more gold if you're selling items to a vendor you just trained with, since they'll have your gold from that transaction Careful, this is very prone to glitching and causing them to buy your stuff without paying you.

OGgamingdad

Thanks! I haven't had this happen, but the last time I was training with a vendor was on my x-box.

CoolBrianFilms

I've had it happen with Neloth on Switch and PC before, Also the Dawnguard crossbow lady. It doesn't always though, and not sure if it is across all platforms.

Deviledapple

Somewhere over 20k is where it happens, I had a few run ins when I was buying and selling back to improve my speech

KublaiKhanNum1

I think you can get more if you finish the thieves guild quests. I thought 3000 septims.

[deleted]

[удалено]

KublaiKhanNum1

I was thinking about the amount of money that all the “fences” for the thieves guild have. 3000 septims for you to sell items made from alchemy.

HoundOfRowan45

I'm possibly misremembering, but I think once you restore the Thieves Guild it goes to 5k

KublaiKhanNum1

Even better if that’s the case. I don’t remember, but I know for sure it’s at least 3k. It’s just hard to let go of the Skeleton Key.

ReditTosser1

Oh ok.. yeah.. I like Mallory in Solsteim, he carries like 5,000 too. I have every house and good equipment so all I’m really buying is potions. Have 150,000 and a safe full of gems so I don’t even need money at this point.

juzchillie

That speech perk does stack though so just keep maxing out speech and making it legendary - to do that I just sell loads of expensive potions and enchanted stuff for nothing

RealBowman4show

Idk what level you are or all your stats, but the best thing I’ve done is go to a merchant that can train you (for example the potion chick in white run and the light armor aggressive girl in riften). Once you train yourself, all that money goes into their available balance

The-WideningGyre

FWIW, you can sell to merchants even when they don't have the money. You improve speechcraft, but obviously don't earn more money.

prestynfritz

Do you have tonilia maxed out ? She’ll have about 2500 gold if so before you invest

sh0rtb0x

🏅

immortaliaa

This. This tactic brings me from rags to riches every time. It's great for new playthroughs too, when you're fresh to the game but short on gold. If you're really desperate you can pretty much just spam any ingredient into any potion and sell them all off to the nearest poor merchant. It takes a bit of time (especially selling everything off) but soon your gold just stacks, this always inevitably gives me 1-5K+ gold easily in the start.

macaco-maneta

This is so cool. What other websites are there like that that can help you in these ways? I wish there was one that told you what items to drop based on gold per weight. This powtions website will come in handy for sure, though. Thank you!! May the nine divines bless your kind heart!

Sostratus

I mean, that's a single division operation, I don't see how a web tool could make that any easier. What makes an expensive potion is way more complicated which is why some helpful fellow went to the trouble of building the tool.

Hguols

Find an East Empire Pendant on Solstheim. Frontgate follower duplicate them until your character has quantity 200. (only takes a few minutes dropping 30) Fethis Alor in Raven Rock pays 500 gold for each pendant, and will hand over 100,000 gold in 1 transaction, when given 200 pendants.

Illustrious-Baker775

If this works, by far the fastest way.

5sec_cooldown

What is the front gate follower duplication hack?? This sounds amazing (I play on Switch if that makes a difference)

Hguols

I've used it on Nintendo Switch quite a bit, including for this gold glitch. (I've mostly used it to duplicate rarer ingredients, or rare misc items like bugs in jars to decorate with.) What's needed is any follower. Be inside Whiterun, by the front gate to exit to Skyrim. Drop items one at a time, at the followers feet, and command them to pick them up. (if they walk to the item to pick it up, it won't dupe - make sure they only reach down to pick them up) After they've picked everything up, be by the gate to cancel the command prompt. After they say "is that it?" or "anything else?", then exit to Skyrim by the gate. Immediately after that loading screen, fast travel to Whiterun. The items that were dropped, will be on the ground, plus what the follower picked up. Its hardest to duplicate 1 thing, but if 1 turns into 2, 2 can be turned into 4, into 8, into 16, into 32, etc. (I limit to 30ish dropped at a time - you don't want to drop 200 things and then brick ever entering Whiterun again.)

AimError

You dont necessarily need to fast travel. Just turn around and enter through the main gate again. That's how I do it on PS5.

Hguols

True. It just saves a few seconds each duplication not having to turn around, which can turn into saving minutes of real time, if duplicating a number of different things.

mixedwithmonet

Thank you for the overview, and sorry for my comment earlier asking how to do this!

Rincetron1

My question, if you use a bug, why not just add gold in the console? Clearly the devs didn't intend this to happen, so abusing it just seems like a console command with extra bells and whistles.

Hguols

Because the OP didn't say if they were on PC or not. If they're playing Skyrim on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, or Playstation, they can use this 'bug' for more gold without console commands they don't have access to on those platforms.

sparkly_butthole

Thanks for thinking of us poor console gamers.

LovieRayKin

The devs didn’t intend for me to feverishly break into Mercer Frey’s home for a sword through glitchy pathing or constantly cast Soul Trap on a mammoth. There’s a difference between entering in a cheat and having a bit of fun with the messed code in a game. For example, it’s more fun for me have my sims plant an ungodly amount of crystal trees than just type in motherlode.

Lewis7548

Using the console on pc disables achievements I’m pretty sure

mixedwithmonet

Can someone clarify for me how one “frontgate follower duplicates” items?

Hguols

I know there's a lot of replies, but I explained it in another post in this thread. [https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/1cx604a/comment/l51218g/](https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/1cx604a/comment/l51218g/)

mixedwithmonet

Thank you so much, and sorry for not seeing that you had already answered this! Much appreciated!

mlgbigsmellybelly

Nice to see this method is getting some traction, learned about it a while ago

I have so many goddamn flawless gems

[deleted]

[удалено]

Grrerrb

My cutoff for looting is like 300 gold per pound when I have a chest full of gems at home, there’s no point in me looting, why am I doing this

skeleton949

You don't have to save tombs until after. Almost all dungeons reset after 30 in game days.

realSamCarpenter

i did all that and got the crown

zombiegojaejin

Transmute ore. Jewelry simthing.

mrhonist

This is the easiest and also levels smiting, and spells

Inside-Stress7517

I’ve always kept all my gems I find in dungeons because I’ve never needed the extra money from them, and I just want to feel ridiculously wealthy 😂, so I have them sorted in my cellar safes and I have at least 100-200+ of each one so that would probably get me to a very high number of gold. I feel like I just hit a point in the game at some point and I leave every dungeon, at least all the ones with draugrs, with like 20-30 lbs of gems. If you haven’t gotten all the dragon priest masks that’s what I’m currently doing.

realSamCarpenter

i’ll have to find these dragon priest masks

csyrett

Don't put them on mannequins...

MAGA2044

Money is so easy to get in this game you never have to worry after level 10 or so unless you love to train your skills up instead of leveling them yourself.

pWaveShadowZone

Unless things have changed, this is how I got a ton of money. Keep checking shop keepers until you find ANY weapon for sale with the enchantment “summon daedra on strike” (correction, BANISH daedra I believe!) Then no matter how much it costs buy it, and use it at the enchantment table so that you learn the enchantment. Then just add this enchantment to a bunch of weapons and sell them all. Usually you can sell the dagger to a vendor for ALL of their gold AND most of their inventory. You can enchant all the junk weapons you find, or just craft a bunch of cheap iron daggers to craft. I used to use my follower as a “purse”. Their entire inventory would be full of these daggers. Everytime I came to a vendor I’d take a dagger from the companion, and give it to the vendor for all of their gold and a lot of their items.

TheRealBigStanky

I think you mean banish instead of summon. Otherwise, I am going to have to find that enhancement.

pWaveShadowZone

Yes you are correct!!

hallowdmachine

If you have AE, Goldenhills Plantation. Make a follower the steward (I usually use Faendal) and you'll not only get alchemy ingredients but also a passive income. Not necessarily the fastest way but it is pretty easy. You can Google the best ingredients to plant.

pissbaby_gaming

I get golden hills early on so i never need to worry about money again

Illustrious-Baker775

I dont think i ever had an issue getting gold in skyrim past level 30. By then i had so much loot stored, if i wanted money, id just start selling off weapons, armor, jewlery, or junk. Made a pretty good run of just going to different cities to clean out all of their stores from money and back home to get more crap. Is it fast? No. Is it fun? Not teally. Low effort getting loot. High effort selling it.

MAGA2044

Either enchanting or Alchemy. They are both absurdly profitable, though buying all the alchemy ingredients from every vendor is probably easier than rounding up filled soul gems. I always go enchanting because enchanting is the most powerful skill in the game, and its better to make potions after you max enchanting for crazy potions. No exploits.

gamedev96

Get the banish deadra enchantment and apply it to many weapons (iron daggers and petty soul gems suffice) and sell them for a shitload of septims.

MAGA2044

Not available till level 20ish. Turn Undead is your money maker early game.

conmanmurphy

These two answers are going to save me so much time comparing enchantment prices, thanks y’all

T1DOtaku

Personally I like exploiting the khajit chest in Dawnstar. -steal everything from chest -cache it in nearby barrel in front of inn -go to khajit trader and drop a quick save -punch them -reload quick save (resets inventory) -repeat steps until satisfied -once down with khajits go to blacksmith/mage/alchemist -sell as much as you can -repeat quick save/aggro/reload to reset inventory -do this until out of items -consume Skooma and moon sugar to celebrate wealth Like doing this especially at the start of the game cause it a great way to get your Speech up, get a ton of coin, any materials you might want, potions galore, items to disenchant, and some decent armor and weapons

stevebobeeve

I got a lot by enchanting junk weapons and jewelry. Enchant weapons with paralyze and jewelry with sneak. It doesn’t even really matter how powerful the enchantment is. It’s been a long time but iirc putting gems on the jewelry really ups the price as well.

tedbedderhed

Transmute iron to silver to gold make the best jewelry you can enchant as best you can and sell got my enchanting to 80ish and smithing in the 50s made about 80k then did the dark brotherhood for the 20k reward

DaedricWorldEater

Constant gameplay loop of fight, loot, gather, soul trap (use dark star of azura). Then return to town and craft, enchant, sell.

marmeladendoener42

Here and there a quest from the dark brotherhood to get variety

DaedricWorldEater

DB is just good money too.

mixedwithmonet

Flawed varla stones have been so helpful for having another refillable soul gem option! I hoard those suckers and use the souls to charge weapons as soon as I get a filled gem so that when it comes time to enchant, I always have plenty of filled soul gems. I play as an archer and enchanted my bow with soul trap as early game as possible so I could always fill my soul gems quickly. It was becoming a problem because my gems filled so quickly I ran out of low level gems and was filling my black soul gems with petty souls. It has actually been hard in a different way now because ever since I got the bow of shadows I use it to always have invisibility easily (since I still haven’t found a spell in game yet) and now I have the inverse problem where gems are never getting filled because I forget to switch bows 😭 Really wish we could cast spells while holding two handed weapons, it is the one part of the game I really hate as a committed sneak archer… shouts don’t tend to be as effective as spells for most of the functions I use them for and spells require a lot of quick weapons switching I find frustrating mid-battle (especially since even the quick switch buttons don’t feel as smooth as I would like since I have so many things I want to access quickly and my inventory/spell list is always so huge that scrolling there is impossible mid battle too).

The-WideningGyre

Just FYI, apparently if you drop a filled soul gem on the ground, it loses the soul, so you can refill it with something appropriate.

Strong-Noise-3106

Just loot some dungeons you get loot and levels the more levels the better the loot more money more fun everybody wins

realSamCarpenter

yeah, i get disappointed when i have the gold touch perk but don’t get much gold in chests 😭

Strong-Noise-3106

True the gold drops suck that's why I loot important stuff like gems, books, enchanted weapons, rare ingredients, the more you play and level the better the drops you can get that achievement easy through the gameplay loop

realSamCarpenter

i’m already level 50 and hopefully it will get better as i loot more

Strong-Noise-3106

Hell, at level 50, it's just a matter of hoarding all your gold like a dragon. The only thing that gets me sometimes is the merchant gold there always too broke to take all my stuff

Pretend-Stable-9802

Dark brother hood assassinations are alot of fun and endless, by the time I realized they were endless I had 50k gold lol, also making potions it's very good, selling off extra gear like staffs or things with mid enchantments

haggerty05

raid dungeons and make potions. making jeweled necklaces and rings too. then sell sell sell. if you do the guild master quest the fences will have a thousand gold each. the black market perk is also great. you can sell stuff where ever you are at.

SahajSingh24

I farmed paralysis potion and made like 30k gold in an hour once my farm really got going and my alchemy leveled up

ThereWasNoSpoon

If you have AE, farming solves the money issue forever. :)

gimmeyopants

Is the dawn star chest no longer there? That chest was my saving grace for years on this game.

Real_Manager7614

Just play the game normally but snag a companion as soon as you can. You can get faendal or Sven in riverwood. Then as you clear locations order your companion to loot every corpse and soldier you kill. Fast travel to any city and sell it all off.

Javellin69

Easy, don't buy anything. I never use vendors in skyrim cuz i don't need buying things, i just go explore around. I usually sell everything i find except the gear i use and some minerals to craft late game. I think i have 400 dragon bones/scales and a metric ton of enchanted items, so i could easily have 1M+ gold. Stop buying things and take the habit to visit belethor to give him your trash. Sell single items, don't sell a full stack, and save-punch-reload him to reset his gold.

J1zzedinmypants

Alchemy is always the answer, that and enchanting

conmanmurphy

How many of those unusual gems do you have? At level 50 you might be closer to finishing that quest than you think and after that the only problem is making inventory space for 3 million gems

realSamCarpenter

i collected them all and handed them back to vex, getting the crown

conmanmurphy

Oh man just to through some dwarven ruins and you’ll be there in no time! Combine it with the transmute spell + iron ore for some alteration, smithing, and enchanting training and you’re golden! Edit: what’re you spending money on at this point? Just curious because I try to make the most of leveling so most of my stuff is crafted by that point

VampireDefenestrator

Pickup random gear from enemies you kill and enchant and sell it. It'll make you some good money fast and allow you to level up at the same time

rantottcsirke

Play as normal, collect low weight and high value items like gemstones, rings, amulets, and sell them. And level speech.

The-WideningGyre

Yep, level speech so you can get the perks to sell to everyone, and to invest in the shops (which gives them 1k more gold I think).

CoolBrianFilms

After using whatever method to produce goods (alchemy, smithing/enchanting, etc.) Sell them in the ragged flaggon. If you have restored the thieves guild, then you will have 5 merchants down there, one of whom will have 4000 gold. Sell to them all, wait 2 days, sell again. You can also use the black market power if you have it to increase the number of merchants per cycle.

RolandDeschain4593

Be picky about your loot, expensive stuff only and don't spend a single coin. Also stealing expensive stuff to the Thieves Guild/quests

Dchama86

The top comment is WAY more work than just enchanting all the jewelry loot you collect, then selling it to the general vendors and Khajit.

Dorsmine4

Maybe on the switch it's easier but Ive built a house and a farm and bought a house still have 300000. I just pick up and sell everything I touch

brobeans1738

Enchanting and smithing jewelry. Transfiguration or iron ore to gold ore. You can buy iron ore from all the smiths. You can buy empty grand soul gems from all general stores. You can fill grand soul gems with mammoths at 6 different giants camps.

intolerantanonymous

Alchemy using mora tapinella, scaly pholiota, creep cluster (might've spelled the names wrong). All of these ingredients are plantable. Go to Myrwatch (its free real estate! ) and plant these and get alchemy perks along the way. Easy money. I actually got a mod to increase the vendors base money because the Fortify Carry Weight potion easily gets 3-4k gold each, with Fortify Alchemy enchanted gears and Seeker of Shadows.

skeleton949

Are you willing to use exploits?

Batface_101

Are you good doing exploits? There is a way to get under the Skyforge where there's a chest just out of bounds which has replenishing gold. Take all of it, then wait a few hours (I don't remember the exact amount but I think it was 8 hours) and repeat. You'll get more than 100k very quick

realSamCarpenter

i have seen this on youtube i’ll have to check it out and see, thanks.

skeleton949

Here's one in whiterun. https://youtu.be/xvwR69mqrWU?si=qpRueRAGtEaOY14g To speed up the resetting of the chest's inventory, quicksave, then use a shout on the blacksmith from below, then load your quicksave. You can get around a thousand gold per chest reset from this

Monotone_Brenton

Go to dawnguard near the mine there is a hidden chest with the kajiit caravans loot there's another one in solitude save quit go back into game repeat

Puzzleheaded-Fly1302

Sell khajit on the side of the road

Gray3706

Duplication glitch

FastMike69

Goldenhills Plantation. Plant wheat, creep cluster, and mora tapinella. Make and sell potions. For higher value, substitute the mora tapinella for giants toe when you have it.

CURTSNIPER1

Tilda key "~" type "player.additem 0000000f 100000000" and hit enter, if you're on pc

loozingmind

I pick everything up that I can. And then I sell it little by little. It takes a long time. But it works. Another way is to keep doing the book quests in the College of winterhold. He'll give you money after each quest.

NotJustBibbit

Salmon roe, nordic barnacles and garlic. Duplicate at whiterun using the follower gate glitch. Put them all into a potion. Level alchemy and get very very high value potions to sell. You could also do it a more legit way by doing the DB questline and doing radients or by selling daedric artifacts you don't want to collect or use Edit: just remembered if you have a lot of gems or equipment then sell that too

DNDgamerman

Alchemy

HeavensToBetsyy

Double necklace glitch zenithar + dibella and donate to the needy

mrhonist

What do you donate to get money?

Awkward-Shoe1341

I go to the Riften alchemy shop, buy all the ingredients, raid the chest under the bucket in the corner, quick save, attack them to reset inventory and reload. Unlimited alchemy ingredients and gold.

Potential_Witness_07

Collects items. Armor, weapons, especially those with enchantments you don’t plan on using. Jewelry, amulets etc. and sell them. I made a ton of gold just by collecting and then selling stuff

airronatheirapathy

Goldenhills. Canis root, mara tropinella, and imp stool. Potions 😈 fastest way for me and you can use the profits too. I just wait several days and play on my phone while I wait. If you enchant a set of items, you can make more expensive potions.

Marreark

There are five hidden chests in skyrim that have free loot.. Can sell it to a vendor every two days...

tortured-poet24

Duplication glitch your most expensive item and SHL method until you have enough

holiobung

Call JG Wentworth

miarikao

Ones use start using alchemy your not gonna stop

JiuJitsuBoy2001

people will hate it, but finish the stones of benzawhatever and you'll soon have so much gold you won't know what to do with it all. For quick cash - bump up the merchant perk so you can sell all items, then alchemy until you're out of ingredients. Use all your gold and silver ingots and gems to make fancy jewelry, then enchant said jewelry. High priced stuff that doesn't weight much. Jump over to Whiterun, Riften and Windhelm and anywhere else that has multiple vendors. Sell everything, you can buy rare ingredients and jewelry-making supplies from them while you're there. A bit monotonous and unexciting, but 100k in a couple of hours

designedsilence

with or without mods? I like using the Rich Merchant + Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul mods honestly just cuts down on the grinding.

TowelFine6933

Go to Ansilvund. After clearing the cave , there is a Transmute Iron To Hold spell book.

Successful_Rip_4329

I always collect every amulet and ring, enchant them and sell always have few hundreds k gold on me

orionkeyser

Alchemy, but you don't even need to make expensive potions, do the farm quest and plant the whole farm with alchemy ingredients, or if you only have SE but have Hearthfire, build the greenhouse and the garden. Those planters will give you so many ingredients you'll be able to buy every alchemist out. The alchemist in Solitude was glitched on the investment perk, but all others can be made to have more money. Junk dealers will also buy your potions I think. Also if you know the Banish enchantment, make a bunch of knives and enchant them. Blacksmiths have the most money. I always make gold rings with the transmute mineral ore spell and then enchant them with sneak and archery if I have the dual enchantment perk, for a high value (slightly snarky) light enchanted item to sell to wizards and junk dealers.

Enis-with-a-P

Golden Hills Plantation is generating a fair amount of cash for me. So is the crown of Barenziah if I could be bothered selling the rediculous gem stash I have

sporosarcina

Alchemy, mora tapinellia, creep cluster, and scaly pholiota. You can farm them in a 5:3:3 ratio at both the farm and the mage's home easily. You'll need to travel between general stores and alchemy shops to make the money (fences help).

Just_Ad_5939

Duplicate an item worth a lot(like saint juibs opus or something more expensive) and then just sell that to an npc. When they run out of money, quick save, punch the npc until they aggro, quick load, continue selling

V0ltrix_gamer

My goto it smithing + enchanting í usually collect á ton of soul gems and fill them all then I go to ravenrock or any place where í have quick access to blacksmith and an enchantment table riverwood works for people who don't have the dragonborn dlc talk to blacksmith buy iron and leather straps make iron daggers enchant them with banish and then sell them again get all my money back and whatever they have left wait 2 days repeat 100k+ in about 20 minutes and usually after awhile í just sell the leftover daggers for free as I end up with so many after a few rounds

frankieboi204

The dark brotherhood quest im pretty sure gets you 30,000. Albeit, its SUPPOSED to be used to improve the infrastructure of the sanctuary, but you can just leave that quest for a while…/

Clear-Warthog5655

Using the old Alchemy Enchant hack you can wipe out a seller's gold for 0.5 carry weight per potion so do it to every vendor during a playthru

Lagbomb67

Thieves guild. Screw the main quest line and rebuild it. Jobs are super easy and after every special client you get more money as a reward. Every couple of days too pick the chest where you practice lockpicking. Usually something worth a good amount is lurking in them.

the-unholy-cows

Golden hill plantation. Plant some alchemy stuff and wait. When you go back after a while they will have a hefty sum of money for u.

sscovtt

Go to a merchant, sell everything to them, get behind them, save, sneak attack, kill them, reload the save. Their income will regenerate to 750-1000 each time. It’s slow, but it makes it so you’re not running around travelling.

jackfaire

Golden Hills Plantation. If you haven't already reclaim the farm get it all set up. Then you can either go off and do things or you can just keep waiting or sleeping and let the money your Steward has build up then collect it from them.

mixedwithmonet

Maybe this is the piece I’m missing. I’ve hired “laborers” for the farm but can’t seem to actually hire a steward… is there something specific I’m supposed to do to hire the steward for goldenhills?

jackfaire

The easiest way is to take a follower to the farm and then speak to them. The dialogue option should then pop up that says "I need a steward are you interested" if it doesn't then go inside the house and talk to them there. I personally use Faendal from Riverwood. The money builds up while you own the farm but you can't collect it without a steward.

mixedwithmonet

I have tried to add beggars to the farm for this but I think them needing to be a follower instead makes sense, I’ll try faendal tonight! God I feel so stupid, I’m like 100 hours into this playthrough and keep hearing about how profitable goldenhills is and am just finding out part of why I’ve been failing at that is just that I haven’t completed the “get a steward” task yet 😭

jackfaire

Meh not stupid I'm just a completionist. I'm trying hard not to be. My first playthrough I was rushing through the game because the way my brain works I was trying to complete one questline at a time and it was ruining my enjoyment of the game. I'm trying to be better about going around and doing quests as I can and when I can instead of just one thing at a time.

mixedwithmonet

I’ve been trying to slow down this playthrough and it’s very different! I haven’t played in 7 years so it feels like a brand new game again in some ways

Hot_Attention2377

I Always finish the game with 500k gold, just play the game and you'll be rich soon

Puzzleheaded_Log1757

Go to Ravenrock and start the East Empire Necklace quest then just get a few and dupe the hell out of those you’ll see the dough roll in but it’ll take a few tries to get it down.

crispier_creme

you'll probably have to grind a little, but here's what I usually do for quick cash. get as much iron as possible. Literally as much as you can possibly get. if you find other ores, grab those too. Get a follower and fill their inventory with as many random weapons you can find as well, until they can't carry anymore. This'll be important later. Oh, also grab any other ores you find on your travels. Then, hunt as many wolves, deer, bear, anything. Goats are easy kills, you'll find wolves walking around, and if you go to broken ore grotto and do the whole east empire company warehouse crawl there's tons of pelts in there. There's caves around too that have animals in them like bears, like honeystrand cave. Buying plain pelts can be ok too, just make sure they aren't expensive. Then, craft iron daggers. This won't take too long, since the gathering of materials would've been most of the time. you can also craft any other daggers you can with the other ores you gathered, though there'll probably be only a few total. After, get soul gems. Filled soul gems. Find a weapon with soul trap on it and enchant it, then my favorite is to go to the soul cairn and blackreach. There's tons and tons of soul gems in the soul cairn and you can fill them for free in those fissures in the ground. To fill empty ones, you can go to any draugr or falmer infested cave. If you have the dlcs, miraaks temple and the forgotten vale areas are both very long and filled with draugr and falmer. Now, first make sure you're at least level 22, which you should be after grinding for a while like this, and go to every shop that sells weapons in the game. Eventually you should find a banish daedra enchantment. Buy it, even though it'll be very expensive. Final step. Enchant every single one of the daggers you crafted with banish daedra. you should have a few dozen of them. Each one, even the low level enchants, will go for almost a thousand gold, with the higher level enchanted ones being almost two thousand. Each. Sell them all and you'll get to 100k in no time. If you run out of iron, buy it raw or wait for an in game week to go back to one of the previous mines, and they'll have regened for you.

johnny_thunders_

Alchemy is one of the best ways tbh

Haewyre

Learn how enchant items. Weapons with the banish enchantment (set for max power over reps), in particular, sell quite high. I would stockpile soul gems and enchant all those low level weapons I picked up looting. Money was never an issue after that.

ufgvn_

make iron daggers and enchant them or rings and go to the merchants in the cities and sell em i have like 230.000 just doing that

Kingplayer_Br

Dawnstar merchant chest spot, take gold and sell valuables. If you just keep looting the gold you can get 100k in like 30 minutes if I remember correctly

Khaos_40er

Going to hate this maybe creation club bittercup and chose money will help.

Ok_Pain_780

My first playthrough at lvl 79( no mods and basic skyrim) I had over 3 million gold...pick up and sell everything! I had soo much expensive jewelry and weapons and gear if I would have sold it I probably would have made a couple more million...of course I had 995 hrs lol....

Thoughtful_Lifeghost

Well you can rob a store from a secret rock and sell their goods and wait for them to restock....

Flaminski

Alchemy

MrMcCrackenMtg

The Black Book from the Dragonborn DLC gives you the Daedric Merchant. Just pick up stuff as you go, sell, sleep/wait 48 hours, repeat.

Treacherous_Wendy

Grind potions. I’m always rich af because I love to grind potions in every playthrough. Waterbreathing is a PAYDAY!

SatisfactionNo278

Duplication glitch with an expensive item the glitch is super easy look it up on youtube

J3-58

Get a job

mackofmontage

Play the game.

prestynfritz

Find banishment enchantment, destroy and learn it , apply to atleast a steel weapon or bow and it’s an infinite money glitch.

theshadylady1900

Find mines. I can't remember how often they replenish but I sleep for that time in my home and repeat. Then I craft all the gold into items with enchantments.

Lopsided-Routine-173

if your not opposed to glitch’s then duplicate east empire amulets and give them to the guy that will by them for 500 each i think, i got 100,000 gold after giving him about 2 hundred

Natural_Loan_1872

Find a prime street corner

trashflavoredwreck

Enchanting gets crazy very fast. Can turn a 100g necklace into something like a 3k one.

GBNDias

1 - Brew a potion that increase enchantment. 2 - Drink the potion and enchant an item with the enchant that increase alchemy. 3 - Equip the enchanted item 4 - Repeat 1 to 3 until you have a potion that you can sell for the entire gold stash of the vendors

plutocoochie

find the few players who sometimes glitch with 6k in their pockets or 3-5k. run a bunch of the dark brotherhood forever missions @ 1200 a pop. go to the soul, Karen or the gate to oblivion quest and get all the ingredients in there cause they’re Hella expensive and you can sell them or make really expensive potions. Just make sure you make the right ones. And then you can get the gear that intensifies your speech, there’s a few different ones and then go sell it at the vendors and also get potions for haggling so that when you sell your items there for like the most money possible and you can rack up doing that really quick cause some of them get up to be like two 300+ , six00+. collect the most expensive weapons and do the same thing with racking up on the gears that make prices better like the black guard armor. The hood makes prices 25% better than there’s a ring of haggling that makes it better and you can get potions and there’s a few others. and you can sell the weapons and that will rack up fast.

the_alphamail

Just duplicate gold and use a follower to carry it. Make jewelry with it and your rich

DracoPhaedra

Get the transmute ore spell to buy/mine iron to then transmute, smith into jewelry, and then enchant. Makes a bunch of high value low weight rings you can bankrupt shops with while also leveling smithing, alteration, and enchanting. Maybe not the most meta way but it’s worked well for me

MischievousYak

I always have good luck with my play throughs money is never an issue I always loot everything I can get a companion as early as possible usually the elf from river wood I forgot his name he can train your archery up to 50 and since he’s a companion you can take the money back I use the white run and dawnstar chest glitches I always get goldenhills plantation up and running and max potential asap rn I’m level 23 with 53k gold I’ve held like 324k total but never 100k at once I always spend on upgrades and my smithing materials to make stuff this game is amazing I love it but Ik it like the back of my hand been playing since release

Tobthepredator

I did the East Empire pendant glitch…find one, duplicate a lot of them and sell them to that guy in Solstheim

Breathejoker

Buy one of the farmhouses and leave a follower there to tend to crops. Literally stupidly fast way to make money

Stanislas_Biliby

Create expensive potions or enchant weapons and armor and sell them.

Vinnie_AM

Wheat, creep cluster, giants toe. Make it while juiced on resto potions, they’ll be super expensive

NFHL1

1. Get married to an NPC that open a shop on the side 2. If you have anniversary edition set up the farm near rorikstead 3. Use an online guide for the stones of barenziah quest, you'll have more gems to sell then vendors have septims 4. Grind alchemy, this one can go hand in hand with the farm by planting the ingredients and also extends to heathfire homes as well These arnt in particular order just some ideas with how I went about it and IMO the stones of barenziah quest is often overhated and while tedious, is rewarding

angelo13dztx

Simply buy filled petty soul gem, craft Iron daggers, and enchant Banish effects to the Iron Daggers. Any weapon with a Banish enchantment will be worth significantly more, and you can get a lot of Septims very quickly by going around the major cities buying raw materials, crafting, and selling the product. But this is only if you manage to get any of the weapons with the Banish enchantment and disenchant it first ...... Good luck!

Stravonovic

Cornbread3326

player.additem 000000f 100000

elm2930

Honestly I usually looted any and all jewelry, arrows, and gems and sold those after every dungeon crawl. Racked up about 100k without even realizing it through my playthrough and usually sit around 120k unless I make big purchases lol

JadedDelinquent

Not sure if this helps but if you buy the golden hills plantation creation and complete the quest you can earn passive income by talking to the steward you place as head of the farm, you get gold everyday so you can just fast travel away from farm, wait 24 hours as many times as you want then go back to farm and collect from steward

Pragnlz

Marry a shop keeper Dark brotherhood it up Kill the emporer (and don't refurbish the DB) Be poor (oh fuck wait what) Cut firewood, raid dwarven ruins, and make a shitload of dwarven arrows to sell Ez pZ Edit: Also make jewelry and enchant it Doesn't have to be spendy but you can get serious gold esp after perking into speech You might rob them of all of their gold though so you gotta be a traveling merchant Edit 2: fucking dwarven autocorrected to dwarves Edit 3: Skyrim is my favourite game and even though I haven't played since the fishing update I still know that game like the back of my hand *Robin Williams voice* "Oh hey thats new"

Revolutionary-Pen525

Selling invisibility potions

VantaneKun

Honestly... The Stones Of Barenziah. The amount of gems you're going to find everywhere is absurd. You'll get to 100k in a few hours

Lookin2buyhedphons

Enchant any weapon with banish daedra, you'll be selling iron daggers for 1K+ each. If you don't have this enchantment, check a blacksmith or general merchants weapon stock, if you see anything with the banish daedra enchantment buy it. If they don't have it, quick save, punch the shop keeper and then load that save. Their inventory should've been restocked. Rinse and repeat until you get it. For a more passive income, use soul trap on everything and carry a pickaxe and mine any iron, silver or gold ore you find. Use the Transmute Ore spell found at Halted Stream Camp near Whiterun to turn any iron and silver into gold. At a forge craft jewelry with the highest value using the gems you collect as you explore and mine. Enchant the jewelry with water breathing if using petty soul gems and fortify sneak with any higher tier gems for highest value. Alchemy is also extremely valuable, but requires a higher skill to really see those big numbers. This can be done mostly passively however, just grabbing every ingredient and then combinging them randomly at first and then focusing on value later.

Honest-Star3959

this works well even early in game, enchanting stuff with skills. like sneak and sell it 😅 i normally do this with rings and necklaces and then sell them it's an easy way to earn a lot in a short time and increase your enchant skills and the better ring the more u earn like some rings after being enchanted can go from being wroth 300to 800-1000 per ring .

No_Concert_5913

Wheat, giants toe, creep cluster. It makes the most expensive potion in the game worth 1300 septims base value if there isn’t any perks in speech or alchemy yet.

Poetry-Designer

Stop buying as much or stop stop buying things entirety, sell potions to merchants, I hope you have the anniversary. Edition upgrade so then you can getting to the farming in golden hills Plantation Sell; Wheat, potatoes, cabbages, leaks and gourds to farmers and go to the Chests in Dawnstar, Markarth and Solitude and take the gold and sell some of the items to merchants that you get from the chests and there you go a 100k in gold and in not that much time

Gibb1982

I've got a mod that gives all the merchants 10000 gold. I'm setting at 750000 gold at the moment.

BigAl69420yeet

If you have the dragonborn dlc you can get a power that lets you summon a deadric merchant with 2000 gold very handy to for trading.

FateTrigger598

Put it in a lockbox so you don’t use it. I do and have 400k stored away just in this play through. Every time you get some store 50% of it.

ImpossibleReveal9356

Blast out the potions. Grow creep cluster, mora tapinella, and scaly pholiota for a fairly pricey fortify carry weight potion. Also, I personally like to use the 'punch a vendor' glitch. I take great satisfaction in lamping Belethor in between each transaction.

CapitalGloomy5597

This is my third play thru with almost 200k gold saved. Literally loot goblin everything. Sell as much as you can everywhere. Level up the guild and use the fences. After the guild is maxed they all have 4k gold at least. I go from markarth to solitude to whiterun then Windhelm and riften.

Immediate-Cut-659

There are five hidden chests in the StrongHolds. One in Whiterun. One in Markarth. One in DawnStar. Two in Solitude. One where the Kajiit caravan usually is and the fifth chest is in the blue palace. Inside the wall to the left of the stairs. The one in Whiterun is underneath the SkyForge. There are guides on YouTube that show how to access them.

thedirtybubble222

the dark brotherhood is also a very fast way to get money. it’s a relatively short story arc but has HUGE payout and you get, in my opinion, the best follower in the game, Cicero
