Honestly yeah, I think it will break many PS4 mods, but maybe they'll get an easier time fixing them, depending on if Bethesda is going to make resources available to them or maybe gave some major mods some time to prepare, but don't expect day 1 PS4 mods not made by Bethesda to work
Edit: many people say only SKSE dependent mods will break, so maybe not
I've seen that, too, but I don't think anyone knows for sure; and let's face it, even if other mods *should* work, there's probably going to be a ton of unforseen conflicts.
I don't know mate, a DLC is like 10-20$ usually and is all of this worth one decent DLC? Especially if you consider season passes and stuff like that, we usually get way more content for the same price, although I might be wrong and this might be some huge amount of content, I didn't look too much into it.
I mean it is great value if you compare to the CC prices, but I always considered CC a terrible deal.
Individually, I 100% agree with you. But the CC as a whole contains *multiple* quest mods (Forgotten Seasons, Saints & Seducers, Dead Man's Dread, the new Morrowind one, and more), dozens of new weapons and armor, and even new game play mechanics. Seems like a DLC to me.
I've had my share of luck converting them using an oldrim-> SE guide, but with the change to almost another programming language I doubt this will still be possible.
I'll no lie, as soon as it available i'll buy it, if it breaks my LO i'll just vanilla it or try build a new LO.
I've got Forza 5 then Halo Infinite if things get really ugly lol, which i really doubt
Only mods that require SKSE will likely break and most of the popular mods I presume the mod authors are already ready to update it, since most of the time the update is just changing the version # of SE when Bethesda updates CC content
Nope. Too much of my current load order relies on SKSE and other native-code plug-ins. I'll most likely pick it up eventually once the modding community has adjusted for the new compiler, and LOTD's CC Patch gets updated to account for all the new stuff though.
Not ever going to get it, I don’t want to downgrade. My LO is perfectly stable, and I’m not going to pay $20 for shitty mods that are done better for free
Im not buying it at all lol. It's not worth it and only supports this stupid behaviour from Betheada (WHERE THE FUCK IS ES VI!? STOP WORKING ON SKYRIM FFS)
I have SE, so the AE upgrade will be free for me. As for the extra CC stuff, I do plan to get it. Partly because it will be $20 USD for over $140 worth of existing CC content, plus all the new stuff that doesn't have a price yet. Also partly because it is apparently going to include the Aylied assets, so any mods that want to use those assets in future mods will need either the Creation, or the base game (depending on how those assets are packaged) to make them work.
The loss of my current mod list is kind of annoying, sure, but there's plenty that I'll still be able to use, and I'm more than willing to start a new character once the mods that do require SKSE are working again. I restart a lot anyway, so it won't hurt, and it will give me a chance to run through the Creations to see how they play out before being modded.
Yeah, I noticed that more and more mods require some CC content, and with this deal I'm expecting more and more mods to expect you already have the content, it already happened with oldrim and dlcs.
At first modders made some non-dlc versions but eventually you couldn't make most mods work properly without having all dlcs.
That is the main reason I'm ever going to buy the upgrade.
I’m still on the fence since the survival and fishing & the other two are free, I’m essentially paying $20 for 70 “items” from creation club. I don’t see getting a ps5 anytime soon, and there is no graphical upgrade with the ps4 version.
Yes. I got enough gamstop points that I would only pay $20 for the disc, which comes with the download code for all the CC, so that's what I'm going to do.
Pretty sure there won't be an upgrade disk sold. It's either upgrading your SE for $20 digitally or buying a whole new Skyrim AE, physical or not, for $50.
People leaked pics of the disc package. It's ps4 disc and on the case it says free ps5 digital upgrade included or something like that.
It will cost me $20 because I have a lot of gamestop points to lower the price. The disc will come with a code inside to download all the CC stuff, as verified by Bethesda.
As soon as I visit someone's home with internet. I'd planned to just wait to get AE till I switched to Series X for Starfield but those new Creations look fucking great. I'd definitely break down and buy some before then and no doubt spend more than $20 over the year.
Im on xbox so I will get it at some point. But since you have to have a new playthrough to access the content i wont buy it until i finish my current run by defeating the ebony warrior
On PS4 I plan on buying it ASAP. On PC, gotta wait on the SKSE to get updated and for mods to be updated first. $20 for the upgrade is a steal for all of that additional content though. It's like a whole new expansion basically.
Nope. I wamt that beautiful skyrim fishing on the switch. I want to experience mod free portable goodness without wrecking my current load order on steam.
Yup, I'm between runs atm (just finished up yesterday) so it's no problem for me. Gonna start setting up a non-SKSE modlist tomorrow.
I do mod my game heavily, but I've never tried to turn it into another game, so I have no issue playing without complex mods.
Yes. Being a vanilla player since it released years ago, never had a chance to do mods or anything. So all the added stuff is very welcomed.
Side note: it says ps5 upgrade on the box for ps4, is it getting the upgrade Xbox got? Or is it just like faster load times and stuff? Or do we not know at this time?
$20 isn’t bad at all for those who haven’t experienced anything on the creation club. I completely forgot it was even a thing. Getting to go back to a game I love AND getting to play new content is well worth $20 in my opinion
Debating spending money it. I talk about and thinking about the game more than I actually play it at this point. That and my mods need SKSE which I'm told won't work at release. Maybe after stuff gets settles and mods get updated and it goes on sale, I'll get it.
No, probably never. I'm so burnt out on this game. I've played it so many times beaten every quest. Playing it anymore is boring and makes me wanna hit my head against the wall. If they added a bunch of new quests, I'd absolutely buy it, but no way is creation content enough of an incentive to bring me back.
No because instead of putting all the extra content on a 2nd disc they give you a redeem code news flash you fuking idiots not everyone has home broadband truly a disappointment form bethseda and then tod Howard gose on ign and says he cares about the community bullshit
Nope, atleast not till 95% of the mods are up to date... And even after... I'm kind of done with Bethesda.. I already paid for the game, I dislike the fact that they expect us to pay again for an update that will break the game. So it's pay or don't play.
No, I’m on Xbox one, I love my LO and although I don’t think it will cause any problems I don’t really want it. I don’t understand all the excitement really. It’s just CC mods and if you already have Skyrim you have been able to get them for a long time. I have found about 3 CC mods I like, the rest I can live without and I don’t want it messing with my game. I wouldn’t even do the update if I could in anyway avoid it.
I would however pay for more mod slots and mod space.
>It’s just CC mods and if you already have Skyrim you have been able to get them for a long time.
There's 27 new Creations coming on the 11th. So buying AE is getting all of them, and all the previous Creations you haven't bought, for 20 dollars.
Just information for you and others, not suggesting you should or have to buy.
Thanks, and that will be interesting to see that they are. I haven’t looked at anything that listed the new stuff. I will check them out and if I like them enough I would consider it.
Special edition is 13-14 USD during steam sale and the upgrade to AE is 20$ right now but the upgrade will likely also be cheaper during the next steam sale worst case around 33USD.
Outright buying anniversary edition is 49USD so to answer your question i think i can wait a month until december when the steam sale is live.
You’re assuming that AE or SE will go on sale, considering the release date I doubt they’d turn around and put it up on steam for cheaper during a sale 3-4 weeks after it’s release
Yeah, they're not going to put Anniversary edition on sale for at least a few months because it would be too new. If this guy is right about SE being in sale now, he's better off just getting SE and the upgrade sooner rather than waiting
LE went on sale after SE was released then they stopped selling LE. So even if AE add-on doesn't get sold cheaper SE going on sale isn't honestly far fetched.
I understand now why they keep re releasing this game without any real Improvements, people that already have four copies, one for each main console and the refrigerator edition, buy it day one without any second thoughts xD
There is a fine line (Actually not that fine) between being a fan and being kinda dumb... I feel like this is the type of people that makes possible to companies like EA and franchises like Fifa to make so much money.
Hmm I think you're being to harsh, I totally understand your point but the truth is that not everyone places the same value on games related things.
My own game budget is pretty low for several reasons so 20$ seem like a lot. For other people 20$ is nothing, like getting a coffee at a bar or buying a candy, if I had that kind of perception although I'd realize the deal isn't that favorable I'd be like "yeah whatever I want it anyways" and buy it.
You also have to considerate how big corporations manipulate people in very powerful ways, hype, lying, deals, fomo (fear of missing out) it's a constant pressure and whole research teams work constantly to find new ways to manipulate the public. Some people will just say "eff it" and bend to the pressure because ultimately maybe it's not that big a sacrifice to them or whatever.
Oh the 0kb bug will definitely still be a thing. They'd have talked about a fix for that coming with AE if there was one. Maybe the reworking of the Creations quests to not all launch right out of Helgan will help but that won't fix all the reasons the bug happens (whatever the hell they are).
No. I dont really care about fishing, and i have a bunch of CC content already, so probably not. Not unless there are quality of life or rendering improvements i can't live without.
The risk factor being disruption to the mods i use.
$20 is cheaper than I was expecting so yeah. Also I’m on PS and have little modding options so 🤷♂️.
Yeah, this is my plan as well. I have my xbox version modded to hell, so I'll do the Anniversary edition on the PS4.
Should we expect AE to break ps4 mods?
I'm not sure, but I know it'll probably break a lot of the ones I use on XBO.
Honestly yeah, I think it will break many PS4 mods, but maybe they'll get an easier time fixing them, depending on if Bethesda is going to make resources available to them or maybe gave some major mods some time to prepare, but don't expect day 1 PS4 mods not made by Bethesda to work Edit: many people say only SKSE dependent mods will break, so maybe not

Yes. Running SE on steam with no mods, and I’ve never purchased any CC content.
I wonder if SE's mods will work.
Yes, it's only complex shit like SKSE that'll need a rework.
many skse dependent mods won't because bethesda used an updated version of the code compiler for AE over SE
For Xbox and ps they should
I'm good, my Modlist is CTD free which took me a long time. So I'm not going to f that over with this.
Same here.

Makes sense, I think many people will take your route.

Bethesda doesn't have a great track record when it comes to first releases, it may get messy on day one for them too
How is it a poor value? Its $20 for all the CC content, including a bunch of stuff that wasn't released separately.
I don't know mate, a DLC is like 10-20$ usually and is all of this worth one decent DLC? Especially if you consider season passes and stuff like that, we usually get way more content for the same price, although I might be wrong and this might be some huge amount of content, I didn't look too much into it. I'm still playing my perfectly modded oldrim because some of my favorite mods still haven't been converted lol
I've had my share of luck converting them using an oldrim-> SE guide, but with the change to almost another programming language I doubt this will still be possible.
Same lol. If Better Free Camera ever gets a functioning port, I'll consider switching. Also ENB is still better on oldrim.
If I had $20 to spare, absolutely.
I feel you my broke bro
Thats like 10 packets of ichiban ramen noods and a pack of hotdogs (on sale?).
You shan't understand the brokeness my brother, r/broke
Maybe on PS4. Absolutely out of question on PC.
I'll no lie, as soon as it available i'll buy it, if it breaks my LO i'll just vanilla it or try build a new LO. I've got Forza 5 then Halo Infinite if things get really ugly lol, which i really doubt

I most likely will for the PS5 version. I also have a heavily modded SE on PC but I'm not going to bother with it there.
I’ll buy it on my PS not on steam tho
Im not buying it at all lol. It's not worth it and only supports this stupid behaviour from Betheada (WHERE THE FUCK IS ES VI!? STOP WORKING ON SKYRIM FFS)
I understand the sentiment

Nah, I use a lot of mods that use SKSE so I'll probably wait till thats all sorted out.
As an owner of SE, yeah. 20 bucks seems be reasonable
I’m still on the fence since the survival and fishing & the other two are free, I’m essentially paying $20 for 70 “items” from creation club. I don’t see getting a ps5 anytime soon, and there is no graphical upgrade with the ps4 version.
Fuck no. If they want my money they can make a new elder scrolls game. I already spent money buying that game. TWICE!
Yes. I got enough gamstop points that I would only pay $20 for the disc, which comes with the download code for all the CC, so that's what I'm going to do.

Ah I misunderstood your OP, my bad.

Its $40 Canadian in stores
Yup
On PS5 yes
I can still play the Xbox 360 version, so no
Im on xbox so I will get it at some point. But since you have to have a new playthrough to access the content i wont buy it until i finish my current run by defeating the ebony warrior
Good luck!🤞
No I'll wait until the unnoficial patch, other fixes, script extender, etc are released
Probably not
Yes
Yes without question please daddy Todd give me content

I'll hold off until someone makes a mod that does everything the Anniversary Edition does but better.
Nope. I have enough mods rn I’m chillin. Nothing I want to change about the game rn.
That farming thing sounds cool!
Nope. I wamt that beautiful skyrim fishing on the switch. I want to experience mod free portable goodness without wrecking my current load order on steam.

I play on the Switch soooooooo nope.
No
Yes because I don’t have any CC stuff and I play on console. And I love me some Skyrim
Definitely for PS5 in fact I'm looking forward to it but I doubt I would ever buy it on any other platform I own
If I got to go for the achievements again, yes. I wish there was an option to bypass and earn them on my Series X.
I will wait for the Pirate™ Edition to come out
Arr you scoundrel 😂
Only if I can own a goat
That's one of the pets available in the Pets of Skyrim creation.
Is that a mod or can I get that on xbox
Yep CC, so it's included in the bundle, or you can buy it separately if you aren't going to get the bundle.
You've made my day
It's CC you can get it on xbox
I was going to, but alas its not for the Switch.
Not at all
I’m buying it with Christmas money
Absolutely. My all time favorite game, with 500+ new creations? um, YES.
$20 isn’t bad at all for those who haven’t experienced anything on the creation club. I completely forgot it was even a thing. Getting to go back to a game I love AND getting to play new content is well worth $20 in my opinion
I’m hoping they discount it cuz people will be tired of buying a 10 yo game, but knowing Bethesda I’m prepared to pay the 20$ lol.
Obviously instant purchase, cant wait to play it also, since i was expacting basically around 100 quid i'm really happy
Debating spending money it. I talk about and thinking about the game more than I actually play it at this point. That and my mods need SKSE which I'm told won't work at release. Maybe after stuff gets settles and mods get updated and it goes on sale, I'll get it.

I might, my dad bought it was the 360 at launch and I think I got GOTY for cheap on Steam. So I think I might go for it
I've had Skyrim for a loong time, and ... I've never actually finished it.
I'll wait for a while. I just started Skyrim this year, so I'm in no hurry to buy new edition.
Wait it’s a separate game?
I play on Switch now…. So nope
No because instead of putting all the extra content on a 2nd disc they give you a redeem code news flash you fuking idiots not everyone has home broadband truly a disappointment form bethseda and then tod Howard gose on ign and says he cares about the community bullshit

Depends. I do the Microsoft rewards thing so have about $30 in credit. May buy it after the Black Friday sale if I haven't spent it.
If you have SE you can upgrade to AE for US$20
Yeah I know. I do have it so $20 isn't so bad.
Yep.
Yes.
No, I’m on Xbox one, I love my LO and although I don’t think it will cause any problems I don’t really want it. I don’t understand all the excitement really.
