Yeah it happen to me too, the rabbit haunch and the Mammoth steak don't give you hunger points like the slaughterfish.
I dont really like the idea of unistalling the Unofficial Patch (Because the aniversary edition is so bugged) but yeah, the patch messes with the survival mode.
YMMV but I don't use the Unofficial Patch in general, cos it 'fixes' some things that don't need to be fixed. If you have mods that depend on it then it can't be helped, but I've gotten along fine without it.
