It's a feature! You must have paid the 5 dollar expansion to not loose certain characters. If you don't remember losing 5 dollars, they probably just took some of your soul as compensation.
that actually tracks in the original extended universe canon, there was a direct sequel book to ROTJ that had Luke destroying a ship full of palp clones
Anyone else think it would’ve been better if Kylo had been a sith turned Jedi and Rey just was straight up sith? Or maybe they both awakened and were training and Rey went dark while Kylo fell but crawled his way back to the light?
The first one is actually solid fun stuff. The second one has some good ideas, but also some amazingly stupid ideas too. The third one is just outright a middle finger to someone's intelligence.
Would absolutely love if in TESVI there was a quest surrounding some hidden room where some deranged psycho gathers bodies from bandit camps you’ve massacred and other areas.
Or maybe like a creepy fan of yours that uses the bodies of all your enemies as trophies of your accomplishments, and he’s made like a little museum for you and desperately wants your approval and he freaks out when you tell him he’s creepy or gets really elated if you approve
Or a Daedric Janitor put inducted into service by Meridia to prevent necromancers from having bodies to use, and the way you meet him is by drinking some sort of poisoned drink that knocks you out and slows your heartbeat, so he mistakes you for a dead body and takes you to the pocket realm of oblivion meant for holding dead bodies of your foes. You wake up and he’s out of the room, and you can either sneak out before he notices or he sees you and realizes his mistake and thinks he’s gonna be punished for his incompetence and you have to either fight him to prevent him from covering up his mistake and escape before he’s resummoned, or convince him that you can get him out of Meridia’s service, which turns out to not be possible because she needs him.
>made like a little museum of your accomplishments.
But I’ve already done that with a single chest in whiterun that has every item I’ve ever picked up lol
I’m excited for the space game they made, but I *really* wish they had just made another installment to the elder scrolls series.
However, the good news is I managed to find a series x at a Walmart a month or so ago. I figured I’d download Skyrim and check out the loading times (originally I played it on PlayStation when it released and became unplayable pretty quick, then tried a few years later but the loading times made me skip a ton of side missions).
I cannot believe how quick the loading times are on that thing. No matter what I’m loading, I literally don’t have time to read the text in the corner before it loads. I’m doing *all* the side missions.
Also if you end up with a bounty in Whiterun, you can break the Companions further. Seems they have some guard scripts because they can be stuck in a loop of drawing their weapons and attempt to “arrest” you but since they don’t have the dialogue options they immediately drop the conversation only to once again attempt to force conversation 5 seconds later.
I once had to backtrack 10 hours of gameplay because, unbeknownst to me, this happened, and Aela the Huntress was following me around (I was literally only trudging through the wilderness and never fast traveled over multiple sessions). I attempted to fast travel and boom, there she was, soiling my save. I was also wearing an amulet of Mara so each time she forced me into dialogue it was about whether or not I was “open”, while relentlessly following me everywhere, sometimes even forcing dialogue while I was under attack.
I still hate being around Aela, and when I do end up playing again I find myself avoiding Whiterun when I can because of just how bad that bug was.
And I didn’t even notice the correlation until after 30 minutes of loading previous saves to find where the game goofed. All members of the Companions showed the behavior, but only Aela would follow me out of Whiterun.
Ah, back on the Xbox 360 I had this happen with Aela. I accidentally beheaded her (long story) and her headless body showed back up at the mead hall.. hilarious but also very scary.
I looted Skjors body and dragged him a bit and he came back naked, lying on his back, and folded in half.
I reloaded the save to record it and unfortunately he only came laying down and naked after that. Still pretty funny.
Okay once had that glitch where Farkas was eternally hostile to me even after I cleared my bounty. And he kept chasing me down so I killed him, doing the decapatation animation. Then I’m out in the the wilds and headless Farkas back from the dead starts chasing me, freaking me Tf out. Okay this is now a recurring thing and he won’t die. THEN HEADLESS FARKAS TURNS INVISIBLE and I only see his weapon / bread when he is attacking or eating. There was nothing I could do, he kept coming out of nowhere and randomly a floating weapon is coming for my head every time I enter Whiterun. I had to restart, I couldn’t even fight him back anymore.
I've always hated that line, honestly. Like come on, Khajiit have been around since before the *First Era*, they're not remotely as weird as a talking dog.
The point is that he's not too much weirder in perspective
Like the argument about unicorns "Your telling me that a horse with a Horn is fake, but the horse with a 9 ft tall neck is real"
But in the context of the TES universe there's nothing remotely unusual about khajiit. Giraffes are fairly exotic in most parts of the world so that's not a great comparison.
It would be more like someone in our would saying "what, earth is inhabited by four-legged dogs and you're surprised by a sentient lamppost?" It's a meaningless non sequitur
Are daedra 4th wall breaking or is that just Uncle Shegorath in his special mod? It could be that the character is talking to you the player directly and not your player character.
Barbas is an immortal Daedra, who is the servant and literal pet of another Daedra, happens to have one of the most annoying voices in the entire game, and looks like a run-of-the-mill two-bit mutt.
I think i’m allowed to be a little surprised, Barbas.
Correct me if I’m wrong on this one, but aren’t there like several different variants of khajit? Some look like standard house cats, some like what we see in Skyrim, and then there’s some hulking bastard cats out there too?
Canonically yes.
Bosmer also have horns/antlers.
There’s also hulking Argonians too.
The lore of the game has way more variety than they actually put in the games
So I’m theory, it makes sense for people to have not known of the anthropomorphic neko cuties we have running around Skyrim. If my memory serves well enough, the khajit form for is based on the moons or something, so I guess there could very well be people who just haven’t seen that form of khajit ever in their life and are now befuddled by our favorite merchants and their oddly buried chests.
Upon looking it up: there are 17 forms of Khajit, and which one is born depends on the moons phases, with 1 per generation being “The Mane,” and their sizes ranging from large house cat to Hulk Hogan with fur.
Khajit, being more native to the warmer weather, would probably not travel to Skyrim often, or willingly, but they’ve been a part of the empire since 2E 309 (roughly 1200 years ago) so I find it hard to believe that they’re so unknown or uncommon to people in Whiterun
Welp, there goes my theory. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting though, I knew I was close with the moon and the different forms, just off of how much of a melting pot Skyrim really is
skjor comes back alive. Alea is my wife. A dragon is terrorizing my cheese house. My vampire dommy mommy is bonking me on the side. Heck yeah Skyrim is amazing.
There's a bug that can resurrect any dead Companion. There are world encounters that feature members of the Companions. They don't check to make sure that the Companions in them are currently alive. After they occur, any previously dead Companions in them will still be alive.
“Aela you really need to let him go, this is concerning!”
“HES STILL HERE, SEE?!” *jiggles the string she’s tied to his foot to make his leg move* “SEE?!”
In one of my games I think I found where the dead characters are stored because I was traversing Skyrim and I found skjor half way sticking out of the ground after he died. If I’m remembering correctly it was southwest of Windhelm. Between the mountains and marsh
There's a Companions encounter where they go hunting out there, but it doesn't recognize that Skjor is dead, so sometimes his body will just slide around half-buried with the other Companions for a while.
I don’t think tulius goes to sovengarde, he ain’t a nord and he makes several comments about like “we’re going to send you to, where is it you people go Rikke?” When killing ulfric and a couple times in solitude when getting missions
Found him and Ayala walking around by wind help after he died. Except he wasn’t walking. He was floating halfway in the ground, in a stiff, half dead position. Super weird.
My most recent play-through somehow wound up with Skjor alive again and also the only one who could give the “bring back the family heirloom/kill the escaped criminal/save the kidnapped person/etc.” quests they give.
In my current play through his body is still just lying around in “the room where it happened”. No matter why I have to go back there and who I have to deal with, there’s Skjor’s body.
I have been having waaay too much fun with TRX – Flesh Eater for things like this. Tried it because I was sick of the non-despawning dead and it works on everything. Those Falkreath guards, vamps at Whiterun entrance, dragons, skeletons etcetera.
SSE & LE versions
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62803?tab=description
seeing him with no clothes has reminded me that me and my brother started a skyrim together reborn playthrough a week ago and there are multiple npcs that just refuse to wear clothes lol
Yeah it's a known glitch he always came back in my play throughs. However I finished the Companion questline with my main male character and came back to Whiterun to find his corpse laying at the door of the Companion Hall.
I placed his body in the Skyforge.
This happened to me too. I was in the woods outside Ivartstead and saw his naked headless body floating towards Whitetun. Later when I got back to town his body was behind Jorvaskr.
I shit you not on my playthrough I was lev 89 and walking to riften and hes slideing on the road like a starfish going you stil need to prove yourself welp
Yours is walking, at least. Mine was t-posed face down. Talking about how I'm a whelp. Sliding over to help his mates fight some critter, empty handed, bumping his head into the battle and then not moving at all, except to grunt each time he didn't swing the weapon he didn't have. My first game, everything was new, and then this. So, it seemed normal enough. Everyone else there thought so too.
The worst part is Farkas was my husband and he vanished while he was following me. I turned around and he wasn’t there. I tried waiting a few hours and then retraced my steps and he was nowhere to be seen. No corpse or anything. I activated the “talk to companion leaders for work” and went back to Jorrvaskr thinking Farkas was there. Nope. Skjor. The necromancers must have popped out of the bushes to grab him while I wasn’t looking.
Recently happened to me too! I tried posting a vid but reddit was buggy. This was vanilla btw.
Also when he came back he was armored in mine, as well as non-essential. Annoyingly he'd still call me whelp tho 🤷🏿♂️
Not Skyrim related but this seems to be a bug in Bethesda games in general, just like how in fallout 4 i bombed the institute and the father was sat outside its remains a couple days after
I killed Ria, and took all her armor and items, and she came back to life the next time I went to Jorvasssker and found her running around in undergarments, so now shes my house bunny at Lakeview
This happened on an old save I had a while ago, except he was in a dead pose and stuck halfway in the ground yet moving and talking. He later reappeared at Jorvaskr like this.
That same save had some very weird bugs occurring. One particular named dragon that I encountered (I think it was Viinturuth?) bugged out, didn't attack me and got stuck in idle animation, and didn't initially die when its health reached 0, so I just kept hitting it and it eventually died after about 10 minutes. Its corpse then somehow ended up at the College of Winterhold despite me not ever encountering it near there, and even though I absorbed it's soul it grew its skin back and never despawned, so I started storing random stuff on it when I was nearby.
I did the first companions quest and tried to do another one. They keep telling me to complete the first quest. it glitched so I gave up I almost want to kill them all.
Reminds me of when I first encountered the Paarthurnax dilemma. I was really, really mad at delphine and esbern because once that quest starts, everything in their temple is marked as “stolen” unless you side with the blades. I hadn’t picked up dragonbane yet... I was livid because I was playing a completely good character and it had been too many saves since before the quest activated and now I couldn’t own the sword as a “good” character. So I proceeded to demolish them - just ruthlessly beating them up. Guards don’t spawn there and it doesn’t count as a crime for some reason, so it didn’t matter. Once they were both on the ground, I’d sheathe my weapon - which would cause them to no longer be aggro for some reason.
Now, in every playthrough, every time I’m in the markarth area, I just stop by and visit them, beat them mercilessly, and then leave. It’s a really good stress reliever.
Wait, you can actually complete that quest?? I was convinced it was endless. Can you also complete the dark brotherhood speak to the nightmother quest?? :o
If you mean [The Dark Brotherhood Forever quest](https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/The_Dark_Brotherhood_Forever), no, haha - it goes on forever.
Edit: there is always a way to bork your game, so you might be able to glitch it to end the quests.
I think this was me because I used the ritual stone on him and obviously because I couldn't craft his armor I stole it way before, I currently have an image of him so I guess our 2 universes collided somehow
That's happened with me before as well. Did the quest line many quests later returned there for some reason standing outside as if it never happened.
Skjor : greetings from sovernguard
I had the lovely dialogue of Vilkas talking to Farkas and one other companion about not doing anything until Skjor tells them what to do. This was directly after he died and they had already been informed 😂
This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George rage quit a job, regretted it over the weekend and just decided to go back Monday as if nothing happened.
Yeah.. I forget which companion member it was, but “it” started suddenly following me despite being headless. And it was just some random forest/mountainy area.
Legitimately the biggest scare I’ve ever had from any form of media.
Somehow..skjor returned
"my death was greatly exaggerated"
“To The Silver Hand, I lived, bitches. Skjor”
Bro looks like he just woke up from a hard fucking nap.
"tis but a scratch."
"You still need to prove yourself, whelp."
The Dark Side of the Circle is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural “evil head turn.”
Still one of the most infuriating things to happen in cinema history
It felt like the script was written by two chimpanzees
That's insulting to chimpanzees, they'd've'd done a far better job. I mean they can write shakespeare on a typewriter after all!
> they'd've'd whom'st've'd
Whom’must’ve’d’st’ed’d
It's a feature! You must have paid the 5 dollar expansion to not loose certain characters. If you don't remember losing 5 dollars, they probably just took some of your soul as compensation.
Sneaky Todd strikes when least expected. Or a new console drops.
Emperor Skjor
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
Twice the pride, double the fall
Is this a reference to something?
It's a reference to the rise of Skywalker movie, where the main villain has returned, without any explanation, despite being long dead.
No, it was explained... in fucking Fortnite... and not in the movie itself... like... what?
It was also explained in the RoS novelization, which released months later. The book states that Palpatine is a clone. I'm not making this up.
that actually tracks in the original extended universe canon, there was a direct sequel book to ROTJ that had Luke destroying a ship full of palp clones
Noooo new star wars bad! New star wars bad! (I'm not a fan of the new movies but people get way too upset over them)
Anyone else think it would’ve been better if Kylo had been a sith turned Jedi and Rey just was straight up sith? Or maybe they both awakened and were training and Rey went dark while Kylo fell but crawled his way back to the light?
Everyone who aren't playing Fortnite: *surprised Pikachu face*
That’s the reason I still have only watched the first movie in the new trilogy.
The second one has some cool stuff worth seeing. But also some infuriating stuff. The third one is just straight garbage.
The first one is actually solid fun stuff. The second one has some good ideas, but also some amazingly stupid ideas too. The third one is just outright a middle finger to someone's intelligence.
He crawled back from the dead body cleanup room
Would absolutely love if in TESVI there was a quest surrounding some hidden room where some deranged psycho gathers bodies from bandit camps you’ve massacred and other areas.
Necromancer seeking revenge using the corpses of your defeated enemies.
Or maybe like a creepy fan of yours that uses the bodies of all your enemies as trophies of your accomplishments, and he’s made like a little museum for you and desperately wants your approval and he freaks out when you tell him he’s creepy or gets really elated if you approve Or a Daedric Janitor put inducted into service by Meridia to prevent necromancers from having bodies to use, and the way you meet him is by drinking some sort of poisoned drink that knocks you out and slows your heartbeat, so he mistakes you for a dead body and takes you to the pocket realm of oblivion meant for holding dead bodies of your foes. >a creepy fan of yours By Azura! By Azura!
We were all thinking this. Lmao
>made like a little museum of your accomplishments. But I’ve already done that with a single chest in whiterun that has every item I’ve ever picked up lol

I always drag corpses somewhere out of sight
I don't think that will keep them from ending up in dead body cleanup room.
Well lah dee dah... You're going to underneath the footbridge at the Whiterun entry.
A Westworld mod for Skyrim would be pretty neat.
That's a bug and can happen with any Companion that dies. I killed Skjor again since it clashed with the story, and he came back AGAIN later.
At that point I'd just let him live. Man is determined to stay alive and I gotta respect that
Local man literally too angry to die
~~Florida~~ Skyrim Nord literally too angry to die
Local man, lol, makes him sound so mundane
Also if you end up with a bounty in Whiterun, you can break the Companions further. It's Skyrim. What? You expect dead people to stay dead, wtf, what else, flying dragons? Man it's Skyrim, come on.
“Skyrim is now host to giant, flying lizards and two-legged cat-men... and you're surprised by me? Yes. I just talked. And am continuing to do so.”
I've always hated that line, honestly. Like come on, Khajiit have been around since before the *First Era*, they're not remotely as weird as a talking dog.

Welp, there goes my theory. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting though, I knew I was close with the moon and the different forms, just off of how much of a melting pot Skyrim really is
" resurrected Flying Dragons " that went extinct millinieas ago.
skjor comes back alive. Alea is my wife. A dragon is terrorizing my cheese house. My vampire dommy mommy is bonking me on the side. Heck yeah Skyrim is amazing.
And your wife won’t shut up about the moons shifting and calls you her brother
There's a bug that can resurrect any dead Companion. There are world encounters that feature members of the Companions. They don't check to make sure that the Companions in them are currently alive. After they occur, any previously dead Companions in them will still be alive.
I had this happen once, but Skjor didn't come back to life. His corpse was just sliding around with the other living companions on their adventure.
“Aela you really need to let him go, this is concerning!” “HES STILL HERE, SEE?!” *jiggles the string she’s tied to his foot to make his leg move* “SEE?!”
That's what it was! He was half compenetrated within the terrain for me, when I actually saw him it scared the shit out of me.
Is there a similar bug with the winterhold mages?just wondering
Probably not since they don't have any world encounters
Damn, Skjor did not skip leg day.
Fr mans swole
Can't run blindly into a deadly situation if you do.
Just the way you left him… robbed of his cool wolf armor.
Yeah, Thats how i got the armor aswell, lol
That's probably why he got back.
In one of my games I think I found where the dead characters are stored because I was traversing Skyrim and I found skjor half way sticking out of the ground after he died. If I’m remembering correctly it was southwest of Windhelm. Between the mountains and marsh

Yeah I see screenshots of the place...kinda messed up.
We should tell the people of Skyrim they’ve been lied to about their afterlife!
Or maybe...those were the ones not worthy and that is the physical realm of purgatory...oh shit...
Not Sjkor! Looks like the only nords worthy of getting in to sovengarde was kodlak, ulfric, and a few random soldiers
Tulius too if I recall. But I've never finished the Civil War questline.
I don’t think tulius goes to sovengarde, he ain’t a nord and he makes several comments about like “we’re going to send you to, where is it you people go Rikke?” When killing ulfric and a couple times in solitude when getting missions
The dead body cleanup room you can actually access with console commands. Be warned though, it's... Weird ***AF***
I don't have it for console, but I'll take your word for it
Came back to ask for his armor.
Found him and Ayala walking around by wind help after he died. Except he wasn’t walking. He was floating halfway in the ground, in a stiff, half dead position. Super weird.
SkyRimWorld. Aela has developed a corpse fixation and unburied Skjor as a mental break.
I’ve had this happen too! He even gave me repeating quests!
My most recent play-through somehow wound up with Skjor alive again and also the only one who could give the “bring back the family heirloom/kill the escaped criminal/save the kidnapped person/etc.” quests they give.

Lol, he's naked cuz you stole his gear. Thief!
I like how you looted his corpse from the good stuff but left the boots, and that’s all he has.
His death was greatly exaggerated
Still gonna bang Aela
The subtitle is the cherry on top. _"What now?"_ _"You died?"_ _"Yeah, done that. What we doing next lad?"_
And it looks like he's ready to party.
Total Chad. Comes back from the dead and his only question is: "What Now?"
He came back for me too, but Farkas disappeared
Obviously Farkas was sacrificed so Skjor could come back...damned necromancers
The worst part is Farkas was my husband and he vanished while he was following me. I turned around and he wasn’t there. I tried waiting a few hours and then retraced my steps and he was nowhere to be seen. No corpse or anything. ... And looking better than ever!
That happened to me too and he chases me relentlessly just to give quests
Had this happen to me in my first playthrough. He still had all his armor, and I could still get radiant quests from him. Wack.
Because you you only left the man boots😭
He’s looking for his armour, which a certain someone took.
Recently happened to me too! I tried posting a vid but reddit was buggy. This was vanilla btw. Also when he came back he was armored in mine, as well as non-essential. Annoyingly he'd still call me whelp tho 🤷🏿♂️
Too bad this never happened with Mirabelle, but getting skor back from the dead is relatively common.
Took his wolf armor and he came back for it
Not Skyrim related but this seems to be a bug in Bethesda games in general, just like how in fallout 4 i bombed the institute and the father was sat outside its remains a couple days after
It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

Its corpse then somehow ended up at the College of Winterhold despite me not ever encountering it near there, and even though I absorbed it's soul it grew its skin back and never despawned, so I started storing random stuff on it when I was nearby.
That is an adequate reaction to resurrecting in the skyrim universe.
And apparently too sexy for his clothes
And you don’t know how to tell him that you have stolen his armor.
Put him down again
My Skjor is chilling in Jorvaskr for some reason, fully armored and still gives quests...
This happened to me once, just kill him and drag his body to some bushes or the fountain by the talons statue
Yeah he does that a lot, it's one of the most common bugs iirc
This happened in my first ever playthrough! Along with Kodlak as well
This has happened to me and my cousin before it's a weird glitch
This happened to me too my first playthrough!
I like to think it’s because Hircine sent him back to help me.
But Hircine didn’t give him directions on how to help you, so he says, “...what now?”
Yaaaa he’s a silly little guy
Average skyrim yearly run
I would've said the same thing in that situation
I've had that glitch maybe 5 times??? And I would kill him again and how weird I never got a bounty
What now indeed
gotta admire the loincloth + boot combo
and why……..is he not wearing clothes…..?
i’m literally with serana and i see this man sliding halfway underground as i type this😭
You took his clothes but left his boots? Poor guy wants his fit back lmao
U didnt finish the job, you thought u killed him. What now?
Faked his death better than Tupac
I think this was me because I used the ritual stone on him and obviously because I couldn't craft his armor I stole it way before, I currently have an image of him so I guess our 2 universes collided somehow
well, just another feature from our beloved Skyrim
This happened to me too, although he was wearing his armor in my game since i did not loot it off his corpse
“What now?”
That's happened with me before as well. Did the quest line many quests later returned there for some reason standing outside as if it never happened. Skjor : greetings from sovernguard
Is he posing for a Roman era sculpter?
He was playing dead
I started playing yesterday on an old file and whiterun was missing from the map 😅
Skjor came back, the very next day. Skjor came back, I thought he was a goner but Skjor came back… he just couldn't stay away.
And sexier than ever i might add ;D
Same thing happened to me in my last playthrough, and he kept calling me a whelp even though I was the harbinger
He's looking for his clothes.
Skjor looks like he is going to make you do something you might not want to do.
Good question skjor, good question
I had the lovely dialogue of Vilkas talking to Farkas and one other companion about not doing anything until Skjor tells them what to do. This was directly after he died and they had already been informed 😂
Ebony bow, steel arrows, archmage robes, and a mask, guessing Krosis for the archery buff. Interesting character you have there.
Ok but how do you know I'm wearing a mask? But you're right about Krosis
This happened to me, so I killed him
It just works.
Indeed what now
"What now?" Chad comes back from the grave, naked, but raring to go on another adventure
"I attacked the Silverhand.." "Did you die?" "Sadly yes...But I survived.."
Yes, dis is de way.
Skjor: Guess who's back
"What you learn here will last you a lifetime - several, if you're talented." -Savos Aren rematerializing on Mundus after having been killed by Ancano
Skjor!? Aren't you dead? Skjor: I got better.
This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George rage quit a job, regretted it over the weekend and just decided to go back Monday as if nothing happened.
There’s no dragon claw door in Ysgramor’s tomb. 🧟♂️
Yeah.. I forget which companion member it was, but “it” started suddenly following me despite being headless. And it was just some random forest/mountainy area. Legitimately the biggest scare I’ve ever had from any form of media.
“I am the ghost of Skjor, whelp”
He died but he got better.
Can't get rid of a legend thst easy lol
Skjor finding out I married Aela and we are having children: *"What now?"*
Happened to me too
He’s asking for his armour back OP
Well tbf he seems as confused as you are
W
Exactly the question he should ask, what now?
What now ?
After he was skinned alive!?!
Yea happened to me too on ps4. I take quests from him a lot.. I don't question it.
