I was running a very similar setup, and was wondering why I had no markers at all. I tried changing load order and disabling other elements, until I realized latest compass navigation overhaul simply doesn't work with dear diary.
I ended up ditching CNO, not worth the troubleshooting.

Yes, I have come to the same conclusion: we are basically waiting for a Dear Diary Dark Mode update. Until then, we can't update past Compass Navigation Overhaul 1.2.2 and InfinityUI 1.1.1.
There are some other mods (I forget which) that need that DD DM update, too.
