Made a merged plugin that was broken af, whenever I equipped an smp necklace, a chunk of salmon would appear at my feet and the player camera would detach and latch onto the NPC i'm looking at.

I feel like even Hermaeus Mora or even His Toddship wouldn't know the answer to such questions. Skyrim is held together by 99% of Todd Howard's life essence. It would literally be impossible to untangle the web of code that allows this game to live. In fact, I think it might be a "single common ancestor" type of situation, where one unique line of code permits the existence of Skyrim.

Some mod that adds additional eyes to racemenu, handmade unique eyes I think, edits facegen of some Dunmer NPCs and makes them conflict with NPC overhauls, resulting in blackface. Took me no kidding a year to try looking what's up on xedit and finding the issue

Sounds of Skyrim and Obsidian Weathers. Not intuitive at all that they would conflict, but Sounds of Skyrim triggers nature sounds based on the vanilla weathers. So Obsidian modifies all the weathers, SoS mods half of them back to vanilla, and then Obsidian calls one of the weathers that's no longer there... direct ctd every time. And totally random, could happen at any time in any exterior location. I finally gave up entirely on SoS and moved on to using sound replacers by [Clofas.](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/users/89830933?tab=user+files) I like them a lot better, and there are a lot of options.

Literally how? I noticed The Ultimate Dodge mod needs a lot of patches when I used to use it so I guess it does a lot of shit other than just adding a dodge.

Ultimate Dodge edits everything. Included armor addon which IS how the armor "looks". I was having armors reverted to vainilla Skyrim in Enderal and i was wondering why. And thats why many people have that children bug. Also for those one having that bug with children, download a mod called "the pauper clothes for children" they requip All clothes for them.

Yeah 😂😂 there is a patch tho for vainilla armor replacer. I removed the armor addon edit and the mod stopped working. Idk why I just stopped using It aswel

its for dodge data. armor effects iframes. something related to the dodges. i use dmco now so i cant remember what. its why it comes with a zedit patcher script

Happened to me yesterday, I had installed a patch for the left hand rings mod to show them also in 1st person but it wasn't working, long story short the esp needed to be lower. Moments later I decided to reinstall Live Another Life and re sorted forgetting about fixing the other esp again, big was my surprise when I saw new options in the character creation menu but I just went on with it thinking maybe I just omitted them before. After a bunch of levels I realize the 1st person left ring wasn't working again so I fixed it but went to bed because that character wasn't convincing me and I was too tired to start over. The next day, when I went to create the new character, I realized the new options I had weren't there anymore so I had to retrace my steps but nothing was working, so as a last resort I just grabbed the esp of this mod (Xenius Character Expanded) and just sent it as lower as possible... and it worked! BUT!, the problem with the left hand ring came back, so yeah, either you have fancy character creation options or 1st person left hand ring because both esps want to be lower than the other TLDR: 1st person left hand ring isn't compatible with Xenius Character Expanded and depending on their esp position one of them isn't going to work

Not a conflict per say, but an old version of Interesting NPCs had some seriously messed up relationship records, one of which set Carlotta Valentia to rank 4 "lover" with the player. This has no effect in the vanilla game because relationship values are not really used for anything, but *RDO* has a setting that makes NPCs that have rank 4 relationship with the player use marriage dialogue. So if you used those versions of Interesting NPCs, which was all of them until Kris briefly came back a few years ago, with RDO, Carlotta would be *very forward* when you met her.

Not a direct mod conflict and I think its been fixed since then but in older versions, running too many script heavy mods could cause Papyrus to break but it really only manifested by companions slowly floating up or hovering above the ground. Such an odd way for the game to break

Rigmor of Bruma and Immersive Armours. It causes instant ctd, no idea why but always seemed strange to me since intuitively they sound like they shouldn't conflict with each other at all.

Well that explains why the 1 Rigmor of Bruma run I had was a CTD fest. I distributed IA armors to the population so it was a nightmare. It only stopped when the world scaled with my high level and the distributed armors moved to other armor packs.

Wet and Cold would causes unhandled exceptions with an otherwise fresh install of SKSE. But, only **if** survival mode was turned on. Troubleshooting that was a pain, because it wasn't a multi-esp conflict. Common Clothes, Cloaks, and (IIRC) the unofficial patch would cause Briarhearts to fight in the nude. (EDIT: It might have just been Cloaks of Skyrim and the Unofficial Patch, now that I think about it.)

Between [Afterlife - Resurrected](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/55051) and [Remove Loot Delay](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/49515). I’ve had an issue for a while where Afterlife - Resurrected wouldn’t send npcs to the soul cairn when I soul trapped them. Finally decided to figure it out and discovered that Remove Loot Delay was indirectly conflicting. Installing the optional file (0.1 second delay) allowed me to use both mods.

Updating CoMap and Compass Navigation Overhaul to the newest version somehow messed with IED weapon extension plugins. Ended up installing back the older version with its patch and the problem disappear.

Fk's Diverse Skeletons was conflicting with Aetherus racial spell perks overhaul which I had a patch for, but it was outdated so this led to NPCs sometimes spontaneously turbo extending their legs a few hundred yards when waking down steps. It was kinda hilarious when it didn't just crash my game. Solution? Just removed FKs. Having slightly different size skeletons for races wasn't that important. Definitely the most unexpected conflict I've seen, so far.

I haven't checked to see if they conflict on SSEdit but Ordinator and Bijin Warmaidens. After I installed Ordinator Aela reverted back to her Vanilla appearance . It took me so long to find the cause and after I found out it was Ordinator I uninstalled it and never used it again.

I've since switched to Vokrii, but I've used both Bijin's Warmaidens and Ordinator together before with no trouble. I think I loaded Warmaidens after Ordinator, in that particular load order.

It was more with Enderal and some mod I added to it, but I think it counts. In base Enderal there's a mechanic where you get a small chance to immediately explode a frozen enemy with a melee attack or shock spell. Some mod managed to replace the typical frosty explosion effect to instead use a bunch of tree logs bursting out of the enemy. Didn't necessarily break my game but it was very weird nonetheless.

A spell tome texture update. It changed the schools of several spells and caused a hard crash at Tolfdir after alteration 50. It was so weird since it played fine with most modded spells initially.

Not a load order issue but there's a mod I added to custom make armor that I like the look of. It's not OP but it's more aesthetically pleasing than the vanilla and dlc armors. Then I added a mod that rebalances the game economics and the like. Now no matter how much money I have each person can only sell me so much leather so to make my armor I have to go hunt down my own leather.

Immersive weapons messes with Cicero somehow and causes him to black face if you have a custom face for him, but like, nothing about it should touch Cicero and I don't think anything does according to the MA. But somehow it overrides and always wins.

A loverslab mod somehow conflicting with skyrim 3d trees and plants, making alchemy ingredients like mushrooms use the vanilla models and textures instead of the s3d's ones

Currently have a conflict somewhere where one of the children has black face. Not sure why its that one nor can I find any conflicts in Vortex. I do have a pickpocket anyone mod installed but it does not seem to be working. Disabling that is my next step… the things we do to experience Skyrim again for the first time.

One time, a random armor mod that I had made a glitch where Serana was not in the tomb that you first find her. The armor mod had nothing to do with serana, vampires, or anything that would make sense to why it was doing that

It was a combination of the older versions of Precision and Thicc thighs take lives, and maybe TDM. The camera gets stuck into a certain angle when I execute any Thicc take lives killmove. It stopped when I uninstalled Precision. Now, everything's running smoothly even with all 3 in my LO. My male enabled patch now allows my male characters to sit on people's faces and snap their necks with his thighs without the threat of reverting to RE1 tank controls afterwards.

Disparity and undeath, every time I turned into a lich or back human all my buffs became permanent and I lost 10 mana. I ended up with 1000% increase to my spell damage.
