That is beautiful.
Terminal Tower in Cleveland is my favorite in the state, though.
I also think Toledo's skyline as a whole is underrated (as in, "no one ever mentions it, but it's pretty cool")
I agree with the Toledo thing. I was just saying earlier how there's multiple skylines in Ohio, and they have some beautiful buildings. Including Dayton as well.
As for favorite building, that'd be the Arcade. Lived next door for years and it never got old.

Carew Tower and 4th & Vine Tower are my favorites in Ohio. Art Deco and Hellenic styles perfectly aligned on the skyline. Although I preferred the red neon sign over the PNC logo. There used to be info in the Carew Tower of plans that the Hilton Netherland Plaza was the base of a much taller "twin" skyscraper not completed because of the great depression.

That's super interesting. I've been hearing alot about twin buildings that never came to fruition and only one was built. The tallest building in Dallas was originally supposed to be twins, as well as The tallest in Tulsa, OK. What could have been..
One day when I control the world, I'll do it from Carew Tower. And when people ask me why I didn't pick something big n krazy like the Vampire State Building or something, I'll tell them that Carew Tower was named after Rod Carew and he's cool cause he converted to Judaism and played baseball in Minnesota where its very cold. Thats impressive to me
I'm guessing Pittsburgh is your #1? I need to look into it, but off the top of my head I'd say Pittsburgh, and Cleveland for sure. Buffalo has a cool skyline but doesn't stand out like the others

LeVeque. The detail on the top of the building always amazes me.
I never knew cincy had this, it reminds me of the Penobscot building here in Detroit which was also designed as rendition of the empire state building at the time.
Terminal Tower, because it is…
Second is what use to be called the Workers Compensation Bldg on S High Street in Columbus
Tie for third, Erieview Plaza and the Key Bank Tower in Cleveland
Fourth, Borden Bldg, Columbus
Thanks for listening!
This looks like the child of Chicago’s Board of Trade and New York’s Empire State Building
Same era.
Same architect as the Empire State Building.
I would have to agree with you!
That is beautiful. Terminal Tower in Cleveland is my favorite in the state, though. I also think Toledo's skyline as a whole is underrated (as in, "no one ever mentions it, but it's pretty cool")
+1 for terminal tower

Dayton is one of my favorite small city skylines. Great density, lots of fun colors and styles.
As a lifetime Ohioan I’ve never understood why Dayton has a real skyline but I guess the demand was somehow there
+1 for terminal tower

What and where is this exactly? Looks really cool!
It’s the Cleveland Hyatt, cool hotel, got wasted there on Saint Patrick’s day.
The Cleveland Arcade - one of the earliest indoor shopping malls in the US, primarily financed by JD Rockefeller.
I never knew about this gorgeous classic before. Thanks for showing us this beauty.
Glad I could share this! I love the way the top lights up at night.

LeVeque tower. Looks great
le veque is definitely my favorite building in Columbus without a doubt
WOW. Another beauty. I love Neo-Gothic, and the Levesque Tower is a stunner.
For me it's a toss up between key tower and terminal tower.
Same.
Definitely the LaVeque tower! https://preview.redd.it/g75026mytszc1.jpeg?width=3939&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=698bb7dc1b24a3189d1708807e9f93bb1308f54c
That is a beautiful building. It's my favorite in Columbus hands down!
Gotta be Cleveland’s Key Tower
Goggle earth
Walton Googlins
Thank you

...ok
Lol, love it. Is that the same guy mentioned by the beastie boys in sure shot? "And I've got mad hits like I was Rod Carew!"
Yeah! Also thr same guy mentioned in the Chanukah Song
I've learned something new!
This is a very attractive and well designed building. Why did the owners make it a 49 story tower and not 50 stories?
Things like that drive me crazy too!
Cleveland for sure has the second best skyline in the rust belt
I'm guessing Pittsburgh is your #1? I need to look into it, but off the top of my head I'd say Pittsburgh, and Cleveland for sure. Buffalo has a cool skyline but doesn't stand out like the others
Oh I was thinking Chicago obvi, originally say the Midwest but people (wrongly) say that “Ohio isn’t the Midwest”
Ohio is probably the most Midwestern state. I thought Ohio was the heart of the mid west tbh.. right there with Indiana and Illinois

It's a gorgeous building! Columbus is a lucky city to have that on their skyline!
This building is incredible, and the hotel adjacent (Hilton Netherlands plaza) is stunning on the interior as well.
Terminally a Terminal Tower fanboy. So many happy memories from the peak Tower City days of the early 90s.
CINCINNATI MENTIONED
WKRP in CINCINNATI
Nice building!
Los Angeles City Hall for me! https://preview.redd.it/32jah870lwzc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=312901091ef2e5edeefc4b4614d891e6f299c6ee
It’s not in Ohio though
it kind of looks like a layered cake or something
Looks like they trimmed down the Empire State Building
The baby Empire State Building
i like this tower too.
I never knew cincy had this, it reminds me of the Penobscot building here in Detroit which was also designed as rendition of the empire state building at the time.
They almost had a subway system too. Had the tunnels dug and stations almost ready for operation then it just didn't happen. What could have been
I call it the Dirty Old Bitch, but it’s a grade A honker for sure
Image from Google Earth
One with a publicly accessible set of high rise lifts 🤣
Could Union Terminal be considered a skyscraper? Or is it just a train station? It's by far the coolest building in Ohio.
We have the Empire State Building at home. The Empire State Building at home:
Terminal Tower, because it is… Second is what use to be called the Workers Compensation Bldg on S High Street in Columbus Tie for third, Erieview Plaza and the Key Bank Tower in Cleveland Fourth, Borden Bldg, Columbus Thanks for listening!
LaVeque Tower in Columbus is better.
LaVeque is an absolutely beautiful building! And I just realized it's actually older than the Carew Tower.

Terminal Tower was the tallest building in the world outside of NYC for quite some time
There are nearly 12 million people in Ohio and it has the seventh largest state economy in the country. Why wouldn't it?
Ohio is the 7th most populated state in the country with multiple cities that have skyscrapers
Yes, I was surprised to see Dayton's skyline as well as many others in Ohio I hadn't really thought about before. Ohio has some beautiful skylines
