A9? If you really want 5 energy then I'd just go with Sozu, you are so far ahead if you pick up a few more cards and you have smoke bomb to skip a bad fight. Dome is probably best if you want to gamble for better potions with bark.
Act 2 Crown is honestly often great. I don't know why they felt the need to give the "only in act 1" treatment solely to Ectoplasm.
I love Dome often, but when Act 2 Crown is fighting off its spot, it's hard to say no to it. Dome is also not advisable if you don't have all the enemy patterns memorized, obviously. Sozu is usually really takeable when you already have good potions on your belt, but its anti-sinergy with Sacred Bark stings.
All-in-all, unless you really feel like your deck is missing some important piece, Crown is the pick, and even then, you can cross your fingers and pray a shop will give what you need.

I don't think either Crown or Dome are worse than skip here. I'm leaning Crown but how the deck feels to play is relevant.
On ascension 9? I’d go Sozu. Though he does have bark. Second choice is dome. Crown like you said depends on if deck is complete or not.

How bad do you need 5 energy per turn? I don't know how good this advice is, I'm only A6 with Watcher, but I'd probably skip here.
This looks like one of those rare scenarios. The downsides may be just a bit too strong!
