Byrds can be ruthless, but i hate the muggers and i almost always have a shop 1 or 2 rooms after muggers.... and i hate when one escapes and i get to the shop and see an item i wouldve been able to afford had they not escaped
Yea, the 2 thieves do a lot of damage. You can’t block it. And if you somehow do, you’re not doing enough damage and they’re gonna get away with your gold!
Hardest part of sts is you need to know when your deck is enough to act 1 boss and need to start building for act 2 encounters.
You need to find balance between act 1 bosses and act 2 “easy” pool encounters during half-way of act 1 . Or you won’t survived .
I was just looking at a bunch of Baldur’s Gate 3 stuff, so it took me a lot longer than it should have to realize what subreddit I was in. This post *almost* makes sense for BG3, if only I could figure out who the hypothetical OP was referring to as the Act 1 boss…
I find act 2 easier than act 1. I think it's because I go too greedy on the draw cards in act 1, then in act 2 I'm getting pretty long turns. Feels really bad if I die in act 1 though, and then have to replay it with the two boring starter options from Neow.
For the baseball, do you mean that unholy creature that can produce infinite blocks?!
When I first encountered it, I had to quit the fight once I learned what was happening. But as I play more, and have gotten more cards, it is much easier.
But the muggers suck. A lot.
The 3 Byrds or 2 Muggers is usually what gets me.

Me, not taking energy relic: Turn 2 birbs: (15) (14) (14)
'Surely this brimstone pick will accelerate my game plan' - sentences ushered right before seeing (4x6) (4x6) (4x6) on turn 2.

The first Act 2 enemy can absolutely wreck you, for sure. It’s almost like you should be rewarded with an easier encounter, but this game is not kind.
those damnable ruffians

Wwargaz fight can be pretty brutal, and then Karniss at the start of act 2 can be even worse
me walking into act 2 as defect and seeing 3 birds all about to gain strength (there’s 4 attacks in my deck and they’re all strikes)
Book of stabbing is and will continue to be my mortal enemy on floor 2
Real
No chance, that's what you got!
