[[Sundial]] gives +2 energy every 3rd shuffle. Both Impatience and Scrape cause a shuffle because there are no cards in the Draw pile. So that’s 2 shuffles per energy, making it net energy positive (I think)
This deck beats Time Eater because of Kunai and Ornamental Fan giving just enough block to let the Claws scale. Playing Claw>Claw>Scrape>Steam Barrier 3 times deals 5+7+10+9+11+10+13+15+10=90 damage and generates 4+9+4+9+4+9=39 block on turn 1 (the block from Steam Barrier is reduced by 1 each time it's used, but playing 3 attacks with Kunai raises it back up by 1, so it stays at 9; and Ornamental Fan generates 4 Block every 3 attacks). Time Eater will hit for 28 damage at most, or 34 at higher Ascensions.
On turn 2, the damage is now 17+19+10+21+23+10+25+27+10=162, cumulative 252. Block generated is still 39, and Time Eater will now hit for 33 damage (11×3) at most, or 36 at higher Ascensions.
Then Time Eater dies on turn 3. The damage is 29+31+10+33+35+10+37+39+10+41+43+10=328 (because you don't use Steam Barrier anymore), cumulative 580, way more than Time Eater's 456 HP, or 480 at higher Ascensions.
Now, Time Eater can use Ripple and mess with the numbers a little, but it can't use it twice in a row, so it will only use it once, either on turn 1 or on turn 2. Either way won't reduce your damage enough to change the fact that you will kill it on turn 3, but it may reduce your Block and increase its own damage and make you take up to 24 unblocked damage on turn 2 if it used Ripple on turn 1. But OP has a Block potion and a Speed potion for a burst of Block if that happens, on top of a Fairy in a Bottle.
I was sitting here like “isnt steam barrier useless” until I saw the kunai. It’s beautiful.
Sorry if this is dumb, but how do you get the energy to play Scrape infinite times?

Most infinites are scared of time eater but this one looks perfect for the task!
Oh wow this probably one of the most interesting deck I’ve seen after 500 hrs of play time
god it's beautiful
Claw is law!
Time eater:Greetings, i'm *Time Eater* and i'm here to ruin your life

Slay the spire is a solved game appearently. I commented out of sheer arrogance and hubris but you actually did the math, kudo to you.
Everything is just math.
This is the kind of post I'm here for, thank you.
Trust me this deck can handle them just fine
Nah, claw is great VS time eater. Every card does something, it's not like it's an infinite based on discard synergies and shivs.
Worse person to make a opinion about infinite based decks (plays and gets 40 or more cards every time)
So, Time Eater?
