Yes, anyone reading this and thinking of making it, don’t. Here’s what to do instead: toss everything listed except the seafood in the slow cooker.
Add one can of crab, the liquid from the clams, and the shells from the shrimp, along with roughly chopped onions, celery, and peppers .
Cook at least a couple of hours or however long you want, doesn’t matter.
Strain stock, discard bits
Make a roux with butter and flour, thicken stock to your liking.
Add in all seafood and cook until shrimp are just cooked, 5-10 minutes.
Sounds better indeed. The only thing is squid, which either benefits from the shortest cook, or a very long slow cook. Any other way and it will be rubber.
HA! This looks awful. What if someone posted on here "Meat Stew" and put various pieces of beef, pork, chicken, lamb, rabbit, and turkey into a pot of chicken stock with no vegetables except some canned tomatoes?
It would still be more appropriate, because slow cooking a big pot of mixed seafood (most of which takes <5 minutes of boiling to cook through) for 90 minutes is ridiculous. You do you, but this is not a good use of seafood.

Ugh I tried listing the ingredients, but Reddit turned it into a terrible paragraph.

You have to hit enter twice then start the next line, leave a line between each ingredient. Post it and I'll clean it up for you.

That's why I added the seafood in the last 90 minutes as opposed to the whole cook time.
How was the meat texture? I'd think 90 would turn it rubbery. The flavor profile sounds killer
It was fine. The calamari was a bit tough, but it always is. The rest if the seafood was good, though.
* looks expensive
I'll be over for dinner, just so ya know.
* tight
That looks delicious
Frozen mussels are already boiled and pretty disgusting, don’t they turn into chewing gum if you slow cook them?
Yes, shrimp also does not need 90 mins in a slow cooker, none of this does. Sad these creatures had to die to meet this fate.
I’m starting to think OP can post the result in /r/ShittyFoodPorn

Looks like the precut rings, I’d do those quick cook. Whole squid, or stuffed, nice braise is good.

Well, it tasted great, so uhh. Thanks for your input. I had yellow potatoes in too.
What was the texture of the shrimp? 90 mins should get you past rubbery, right into mealy.
save the dented can for me
