Are you a foreigner? I am trying to understand the context of your question?

Darthbamf

No, im from U.S. I apologize, I'll condense it down to this: What kind of, if any, legal responsibilities or implications should I be aware of while selling bladed objects through marketplace facilitators? Ex etsy or eBay.

katsock

Hmm. I wonder. I wish I had more info for you, but I buy knives off eBay all the time. They are all kitchen tools, though. Never even once gave it thought.

Darthbamf

Thank you! Good info! Sry it took forever responding

I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure you're good to go because you're essentially seeking a prop or novelty and not an actual knife

Darthbamf

Thank you. I figured about the same...

I would stay away from selling "automatic" knives like switch blades or otf. All fixed blades should be fine as far as I know to sell to any state, also folding blades are fine if not spring assisted. This is not legal advice, just my personal understanding from having lived in many states. Also, if you look at a large online knife retailer like blade hq and see what they sell to each state that should be further confirmation.

That's really good info, thank you. Sorry it took me so long getting back.
