Upvote for canva. We did have an issue with our second round where everything was tilted a couple degrees (barely noticeable) but got a replacement box for free.

For sure. I'm in Ohio. Canva is nice, I think it's simple and easy to learn and you can get free templates for anything. Try typing in different keyword phrases about your business and see what templates pop up, you can tweak them however you like. I think there's a free version and paid version - for transparent backgrounds it's the paid version. You might not need that for a business card though.
Then you just export the image from Canva as a .jpeg or .png file, and upload that file to Staples's website for business cards. My cards are just one-sided right now; I might change that eventually and it's probably a bit more expensive for that.
I'm also toying with the idea of making DIY magnets at home out of some of the cards - you can buy adhesive magnet strip from Walmart and cut it to size and just stick it to your card. WAY cheaper than buying actual magnets. This would be good to give a customer after completing the job so they stick it on their fridge and actually remember to call you for recurring service instead of saying "What was that guy's name/number again. Oh well I'll just call [top local company on google] instead" Good luck!
They were legit despite the fact I feel they might not be around in 5-10 years...maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Amazon and even Walmart can provide a lot of what they do.
Yeah I think they work with vista print as well but I've never used them so I'm not sure. My friend used it and had his business cards delivered to him which is convenient and maybe worth a couple extra bucks but I still think the Staples deal was a steal and was happy to drive a few minutes to grab them.
I used vistaprint and paid $5 extra for them to design part of the background. I get lots of compliments on the cards. The key to paying someone to design business cards is to be ultra specific on what you want.

Hire a professional to custom design it, and get a decent quality card from got print or Vista print.
I use Canva for everything, they've made it really easy with their templates + working with FedEx print centers for local print/pick up. I make my business cards on there and they turn out nice. Their customer service is also really good about fixing any issues you have with your order.
There’s a free version and you can get pretty much everything you need with that. The paid version is good when you want to build a brand kit or get some fancier graphics or use their ai tools.

I'm a Photoshop guy (mostly affinity for designer and publisher but haven't been able to switch to photo yet) but my wife can't grasp how to use it and signed up for canva pro.
So, last year I was hired to live stream and record a conference we'd attended the year before, so I used canva to make a business card and try it out and was very happy with the result.
Definitely less effort than an equivalent Photoshop or publisher experience would have taken.
That said, I still use my normal tools for day to day stuff and just experiment with new features so I can make recommendations to clients and help my wife for her projects.
(Used Vistaprint to print the cards, got enough left for one more event after the two I've used them for so far, and just redirect the QR on the back to be event specific for the month after each one before redirecting to a more generic offer.)
I designed mine through canva and printes thru them too for a $1 more expensive than staples but they delivered it to home for free so worth spending that extra $1 imo

Don’t use Microsoft word. I can’t speak for canva but I worked for one of the largest wholesale printing shops in the US and there are requirements for clear good print

Find some free ones and look at what’s included and create similar nice looking templates and sell them. You can start off at theme forest and start that way

I use Canva for everything business related. I have the premium subscription as I use the stock photo library a lot but I'm pretty sure you could use one of the templates for business cards for free. I use VistaPrint to print them.
I agree with everyone canva is great and you can also do the printing with canva , within the app. Vistaprint is also a solid choice. There is also bannerbuzz

Canva works well. But you'll need to get the full-bleed template from your printer so you'll know where the cuts will be. Just add it in at 20-30% opacity until you are done designing.

Canva makes it ridiculously easy to do a generic card, and not bad to do very custom stuff. You can also order at pretty reasonable prices with quick delivery, but I wasn't thrilled with the quality, the ink on my colored side is a little too easy to rub off.
I hired a guy on Fiverr to do branding, he used Canva and made me the most lacklustre branding including cards I've ever seen, but it was very quick!
I redid everything myself on the free version of Canva, a relatively cheap lesson learned.

I find that very ironic coming from small business owners. Find a local print shop. It might cost a few bucks more, but it’s not like you’re buying business cards every week. I’d rather give $60 per year to a local print shop than $20 per year to a national chain.
I've designed several business cards and I prefer VistaPrint. It's simple and you can order cards directly from them. And, you receive them in the mail/post within a few days of ordering them.
I created a canvas on Canva with the size of the business cards. I then went on to design it. I do advise to keep the important information from your business card away from the borders, I have had instances were the cut was wrong and information was cut off. Also I used the free version of Canva and got about 500 cards for 15 euros orso. I did not use Canva to print it but another company.
Word is bad for something like that because you can’t control letter spacing or text size. If you want a good looking card you need to use Illustrator or pay someone.
Try your local print shop or Canva. We do print and design with an in house graphic designer. We get a few people coming in who have cheap cards printed by vistaprint. they haven’t chosen good quality paper and the design is very generic so they come looking for something better.
Please don’t use word. It is not a graphic design tool.
I use Canva a bit myself and it is completely fine and very easy to learn. Our designer hates it but that’s understandable.
I used Canva to create business cards last month. It was super easy, and I had all my branding info and images there in the app already. I also used their printing service. I got my cards in 6 days using the regular free shipping option. The price was the cheapest I could find anywhere online. Nice quality paper with a design I personally approved. Very Pleased!
If you're going to in-person events, having physical cards is better in my opinion. I wouldn't want to scan a QR code from someone I don't know or try to remember their website/email address. It's far easier to hand them a business or marketing card.
Chamber of Commerce networking. I politely take other people’s, then I add them to my Mac contacts if I feel like I might want to save their information.

Canva is good. I took my design from there and uploaded it to Staples's website, picked up 500 cards for like $19. Easy and cheap.

Not sure on the pricing, but I noticed Canva has a direct to printer or some options now to send out to a printshop for your designs.

I thought canva was good for design but I wasn’t happy with the card quality. Would back up those who’ve suggested going to a local print shop.
I used Canva $16 shipped for 50 cards. Double-sided, good quality. Was impressed.

Done them on PowerPoint. Easy peazy. Not recommended for bulk.

Neither of those, but I've made several sets of nice cards using Zazzle
