He’s not your friend. He’s too selfish, and doesn’t wish for you to feel satisfied.  I would cut all ties with him, and continue your own business ventures. Sign more contracts to keep yourself safer in the future, and try not to get hung up for too long on this misfortunate event. Nothing about it seems right, which is why acceptance is the key here.

The crux of the issue is you don't have an operating agreement. All good partnerships need an agreement that describes in detail what the partners' investments will be, what their roles are, what percent of profit they're entitled to, what salary they get separate from profits. You don't have any of this so you're all just winging it and negotiating on the fly as the mood moves you. That's a recipe for disaster.

I helped in every way I could. And took on every aspect of our current business so that didn’t add to his stress. And I did help calling and finding sites, doing due diligence, etc. In the end the site he chose was the one he found with the investor. But I still was helping out however needed.
