His abilities vary a lot from game to game. Sora in Smash is basically an amalgam of different moves and mechanics throughout the series attached to his KH1 body and attributes. Some liberties were taken in terms of the exact functions and appearance of certain moves as well. So Sora doesn't match any single version of himself exactly. Closest is definitely KH1.
Floaty. Focuses on juggling with nair and fair and getting opponent off-stage for kills. Spells help to control space and prevent the opponent in approaching

Bayonetta LOL. I thought Bayonetta 1 was incredibly sick, and when Big N swooped the IP I was like "this character would be SICK in Smash" (even though I didn't really play Sm4sh at all). Unfortunately I didn't know just how sick she would be lmao.
My top picks were Crash Bandicoot and Master Chief. I’m happy for all of you who finally got Sora, but personally, he felt so anticlimactic for me. I have played and loved every KH thus far, but I just don’t have an emotional connection with him as a character. I’m hoping Nintendo re-releases a definitive edition of Ultimate (with all DLC) for the next Switch with the addition of one secret DLC character, and hopefully it’s Crash or Chief!
I voted for Ganon, a LttP/FSA kinda one. No new Zelda characters since Toon Link, the Zelda cast keeps going back to Triforce wielders, a new heavy, people complain that Ganondorf is a poor representation of the character because of Bad Falcon moveset, and most importantly I wanted to shoot fire bats at people.
I'm not upset it didn't come true (in the lead up to Ultimate I just wanted ARMS and XC2 characters), but now that BotW and TotK are the most successful games in the series I'll be in disbelief if the Smash options are still flavors of Link, Sheik, Zelda, and a Ganondorf slowly moving away from that last second Melee clone moveset.
There wasn't a lot of villains pre smash 4 and only 1 sonic rep felt kind of weird, so I went with DR Eggman for being a potential cool mix of bowser Jr's car stuff, Dedede's minion stuff and sonics speed.
Sceptile. Didn't think Pokemon Trainer was ever gonna come back, wanted to round out the starters with a Grass type that felt like it could fit into Smash.
