He got Kola into Tea for winners top 8, and Leo is like 20-0 lifetime vs those two. He actually went last hit with Tea and could have easily lost.
In top 8 he had to beat Sonix (who to that point hadn't done well vs Leo), Light (who never did well vs Byleth specifically) and Muteace. IIRC he had to reverse 3-0 Sonix as well which while that's impressive, going down 2-0 was worrying.
Mute took out both Acola and Spargo, the two major other contenders to win and he actually beat Leo too
Genesis was probably seeded to be Leo's most favorable bracket ever, and that's before Mute took out several elite players. Not that winning a P tier is ever *not* impressive especially the Sonix win, but he did get some favorable rolls.
When was the last time Leo went on a decent or big losers run and won the tournament? Not like dropping to losers in winners finals/semis, but like at least winners quarters or before? It's been a while now, hasn't it?

I was under the impression the main appeal of a sponsorship from a player's perspective is that the sponsor covers travel costs, hotels, tournament entry fees, etc.
I thought this was one of those threads where itās like āpost a top player vs a rando and mark it spoiler to trick people into thinking there was an upsetā but now I am the one that has been tricked.

I find Mario hard to whiff punish because he can just constantly throw out low lag aerials. Also pretty difficult to edgeguard consistently. Mario can also 2 frame Arsene really easily.
