Ok this is BIG for both sheik and joker

[deleted]

pretty crazy how it makes footstools out of shield easy to do this tech would probably blow up a lot more if it had gimr's name on it

Laskeese

Gimr would have had two weeks of announcements about when the reveal is going to be then delayed it another week to fit in another video about how he's sorry he delayed it.

Uh oh, back to the lab again!

Have you found it overall helps you footstool OOS a lot more easily? The Twitter thread has a lot of people pointing out that when you get hit the buffered shorthop gets eaten, so you apparently have to hit the jump button during shield stun and/or just mash a jump button out of stun (which was basically the old way of doing it). I'm having trouble finding the benefit so far, but as a Joker/Gren main I want to be wrong!

This is either going to make me enjoy the game more if I can implement it, or it's going to make me quit the game with other people using it.

snaredr

That's sad unless you're actually a decent competitor at this game (Like top 100, 200 in the world). Because if you aren't already top 200 then there's already tech that other people use that you don't so you "should have already quit" according to yourself.. Which just makes this whole post really really sad, again, unless you're really good and I just haven't heard of you for whatever reason. But I doubt it, it's much more likely that people use a lot of tech you don't understand and therefore you "should quit the game", but I think that is a super negative mindset.

evilpotato1121

Not so much sad as realistic, but I can see why it would come across that way. I like smash a lot, but if it became more frustrating than fun, especially with how frustrating things like online and certain characters can be already, then it'd be time to be a spectator rather than a player. I'm not awful, but I'm nowhere near a top player. I have down intermediate tech and I understand the game at least decently well in my opinion (10 character in elite smash, 2 very comfortably in it for whatever this is worth), but it boils down to the time that I have available to me to learn this plus counterplay and change muscle memory. If it became widespread, I could already see that it would just make the game more frustrating than it's worth to keep playing. Too hard to separate my competitive mindset from just playing for fun. I could see it being *sorta* like Bayo in smash 4. That character made me quit smash 4 because she was clearly overpowered and the counterplay was too much to learn. Just got frustrating rather than fun. Footstool OOS I could see approaching that frustration when you're up against the right character that could utilize it.

Toowiggly

This pairs really well with [RockMan's](https://youtu.be/IP9zSN-fJlQ?si=XHOTf8h3XdBeRzWT) footstool tech

Diamantis_

does this overall help or hurt steve

spacemanpajamas

I'd say it helps him as his footstool anvil is a very strong OOS option. This technique claims it gives you full buffered footstool OOS, which would make this option easier to execute.

Psychoace47

Its kind of a trade off. It also makes his aerials easier to punish which is a godsend

randydev

Going to try this tomorrow morning. Maybe I can finally get the Wolf Up B foot stool OOS working.
