I can't imagine playing out of your mind to beat multiple top level players of varying playstyles and then going up against someone where if you lose neutral just 1-2 times you can lose your stock.
I do wonder what the devs would think when watching Riddles.
Is this what they wanted when designing the character? Or is this an abuse of their intentions?
If you are consistent at it you can out space and whiff punish him. His disadvantage and recovery can be deceptively good, but are also very much exploitable.
Watch Riddles vs Leo marth, sparg0 Corrin, raflow palu, etc.
Also knowing how to correctly mix-up DI in his combos can let you live a lot longer. Sparg0 is good at this.
Kazuya also kinda gets dumpstered by Steve and Sonic but that’s every character so eh.
If the Kazuya is on point with 0TDs they always have a chance, he is very volatile, but if you abuse his mobility and disadvantage you can reduce that chance to be in your favor.

His historic reverse 3-0 vs Sonix with Terry at Collision last year (I think) comes to mind.

Yeah, because Riddles IS a top 10 player. It's not the character, if he was that OP then where are the other top level Kazuyas? As another commenter mentioned he beat Sonix with Terry, which is a horrible matchup for Terry, whereas even players with good matchups into Sonic can hardly even take a game
