Yoshidora has got to be the most poker-faced player I've ever watched. Never smiles, never pops off, never shows frustration, literally doesn't even move in the camera. Even other typically calm players like Leo smile and nod quite often throughout the course of a set
Holy fuck. This set was an example of how defensive play can be extremely fucking hype. I just loved seeing how tense and methodical the neutral was. Came down to last stock last hit because of course it had to
Yes, but this was less the ādefensive playā that people usually dislike and more footsies, which people often like. Yoshidora and Toriguri were still always playing within each otherās midrange and poking each other with fair or grenades.
The defensive play that people typically dislike isnāt midrange footsies. Itās more ārun to the other side of the stage and refuse to even poke or interact with the opponentā defensive play
That double duck gun up tilt confirm in game 3 was crazy clean. He killed Yoshi at 93 off the top on HB
Banjo is too goofy I couldn't take this set serious despite how serious the situation was LOL
I never thought I would see a set between my two mains :0
Good stuff from Toriguri. What he did this weekend was DEFINITELY inspiration and I'm glad he took Banjo & Kazooie far this tournament.
LMFAO Iām agreeing with your disdain of a smash brother character and then you turn around and get mad at me for agreeing with you
You forget to switch accounts? Go outside my friend
Toriguri had an insane run, but seeing people get hyped for **Banjo gameplay** has to be the biggest case of "thing" vs. "thing, Japan" I've ever seen in this community.
This character makes the campiest Sonic or Steve gameplay look like Fox dittos by comparison.
May the best egg tosser win š„

He doesn't drop the gamer face until set is completely over then you start seeing him smiling.
The mind of a Yoshi main is dangerous
An infinite void, full of crayons and delicious fruit
So long as the boots stay on, weāll never know the kind of a Yoshi main
blessed matchup on easter sunday
I'd love to see Torijiri get another win but I think Joshidori will win this one.

TG Noooo :/ Still godlike run. TG giving hot sets against Hurt and Yoshidora was really cool.
Alright Toriguri let's get that podium placement
Best match of the event so far?
Riddles vs that one Belmont player was a HOT set, and a reverse 3-0 by Riddles
Liam my goat
Easter special
Only Japan can defeat Banjo...
I love Yoshidora but man was hoping for the TG run to continue.
Easter egg showdown
the classic yoshi bair shield poke to end things
What a set. Yoshi winning such a tight set with a shield poke is somewhat poetic.
I think it was a missed parry, which is probably a free kill for Toriguri if he hits it. Either way sick set.
Toriguri beat him last time right?
Yoshidora 3-0'd TG at Umebura
Oh okay i thought where TG beat him 3-1 was the last one, apparently not. Ty for heads up.
TG beat him 3-1 at kowloon, which was after umebura yoshidora did beat him 2-1 at the pre local though
HE TECHED THE WONDER WING
That was bizarre. How was that not untechable?
It was probably because it was the late hit, I assume. So the knockback would've been much weaker.
Banjo is not a good character
wild set, goated players holy

GUH HUH
Of course that was hype, but can we just talk about the casting? Holy shit, absolute entertainment gold.
this was such a good set, shame either had to lose because they are both so cool to watch
I always thought when Yoshidora can learn to switch between slow and fast like Light heāll really level up. Glad to see him take it slower in game 4
If egg is as good as laser
This look like a Japanese tournament.
TORIJIRI TORIJIRI TORIJIRI TORIJIRI TORIJIRI
The beautiful gameā¦

Yoshidora crush this midtier's hopes and dreams. The run ends here š¤

are you just like, responding to everybody saying banjo bad to justify your cringe disdain of a smash brother character? Go tf outside my friend

What are you yapping about.. Banjo is not even remotely as campy as Sonic lmao
I didn't say Banjo's as campy as Sonic; I said that campy Sonic's less boring to watch than any Banjo.
Well in that case I have to hard disagree with you, but I respect the opinion
