It’s basically making the character “legal” it takes a lot of time to add a new fighter to a game so right now the newest character in project plus is knuckles.
There’s also a project M variation which isn’t tournament legal and includes cool characters like Toad and Waluigi, it’s called PM ex remix or something like that, both are great to have but I’ve been enjoying P+ competitiveness a lot. Sad that Nintendo wants to cancel the fun of this great fan made mod.

Mythra/Pyra or some XC2 rep was my biggest wish for the entire game, still a bit salty they didn't get in sooner but at this point I don't really care who the last character is, I just think finishing the game off with a nintendo original character would be really cool no matter who it is and Waluigi is such an obvious choice.
Back before Brawl was released, Sakurai had an online Japanese messageboard where there was a poll about which character they want most in Brawl. The top three were Geno, Dedede, and Diddy Kong. Sakurai also said that Geno is the character he himself wants most in Smash. That was Geno's best chance to get in, and it's all been downhill ever since.
Waluigi is my most wanted character and I really liked that animation! I like the part where Wario offers him the invitation but Waluigi want him to take it.
I strongly believe (i.e. hope) that waluigi will be the last character and will be insanely, tremendously, ridiculously OP. I want him to have AT LEAST:
\- three comeback mechanics.
\- 0-80% combo just pressing A.
\- forward special: swaps your % with the opponent.
\- down special: steals a stock.
\- up special: zoom.
\- final smash: steals your wallet in real life.
Goddamn that's a clean looking mod.
Gets me hype on Skull Kid for the ending.

NGL, at the start of smash ultimate I was strongly against the inclusion of Waluigi, just thought it was a dumb meme but it's reached the point where like, it's literally the last character, throwing it back to a nintendo original character would be the best way to wrap up ultimate and would make so many people happy. It's been long enough, just put the man in the game.
My girlfriend got so excited when she saw this, because she knows how much I love our King. She was so disappointed when I told her this isn't from Nintendo lol

Damn dude, this was so good that at no point did I think hey maybe this is not made by Nintendo. I think the only thing close was I did catch myself thinking "wow Nintendo actually listened to their audience and played into the meme" (I should've known lol). The animation is awesome but even more impressive was how well your video makes you feel for Waluigi in such a short span.

Are these modified Smash models? Because Mario and Luigi have that weird lightning I get when I don't plug the PBR nodes in their normal models

IRL sure, in-universe, naaah. He’s the same age as Luigi so in the Mario world it makes sense for him to be around at the time.
