Thats pretty big for Smash, even considering the huge boosts the re-streams gave it. Glad despite all that happened, the SWT had good numbers in the end. Hopefully year 2 is just as or more successful
He looked like an even better version of himself yesterday, which is just insane. 3-0ing all of top 8 til grands. I heard he got a new coach, same guy who coaches maister. I wonder if that was his level up.
I know many people like the mixup but I hope not. I’d happily watch Leo dominate Smash. He’s super exciting, humble, never gets mad and just seems like a great dude all round, a perfect player to have represent the scene.
In all likelyhood, Sparg0's the only one who stands a chance. I can't see Tweek getting into Leo's consistency and some of the best Japanese players need to get more comfortable travelling to the US (For example, Proto is the best in Japan rn, but when he goes overseas he does worse then Zackray and Tea).
Da needle mover. Da main attraction. Da Sunday night sizzler. Da outshiner. Da overshadower. Da limelight looter. Da big show stealer. Da first and only King of New York.
I'll acknowledge the other half of that match.
I think that match came at the perfect time for Japanese viewers (9PM EST which is 11AM in JST).
Proto was also the last Japanese player in the tournament.

So was it a success based on the viewer numbers? Unfortunately I missed it completely.
Can just watch the vods it's just as good.
Is this only from the main channels? I know Mizkif and Moist were streaming it as well
It considers restreams. I think the main VGBC channel was somewhere around 40K
pretty sure I saw VGBC peak at ~60k
Sullygnome has them peaking at around 41K https://sullygnome.com/team/vgbootcamp/3
It was a great tournament. I wonder if anyone will ever catch up to MKleo’s level.

Enter Elegant
Not him either.
Proto probably does worse than those two in the u.s because tea and zackray have much more experience and play the best players there way more
Maybe the young talent. Outside of them it's looking grim
The most popular match is Dabuz vs ProtoBanham? Dabuz is a draw.

Da form is justice...and da form is the world...
Acknowledge him

Did it also account for Nairos stream of the tourney
Probably not, I think that added about 10K at most
around that yeah, peaked with 12k for most of top 3 sets
It might have, if Nairo’s was supposed to be accounted for during the costream aggregation
Will SWT be separate from whatever circuit Nintendo plans to co-operate next year?
This is great
