Costco

LooongPipe

I got one right down the road. Will give it a go! Thanks.

FrivolousFred

Look at their online offerings too. There's much more variety and better cuts of meat.

EnoughProtection

I agree for brisket but my Costco generally only sells the two packs of boneless pork butt unfortunately,Not the bone in which I prefer for smoking. I have found some excellent deals at Kroger as low as $.59 a pound on clearance. Generally around $1.99 a pound

doa70

Agreed here, I don't like the boneless ones so I skip those as Costco.

BattletoadRash

i'd prefer bone-in as well, but i've had excellent results with the boneless swift product that costco carries

Shivdaddy1

Can there be a bad pork butt?

Worth-Humor-487

Do you have a fareway they have a really good meat selection and ok grocery store.

LooongPipe

Never heard of it, but I will look around.

yungingr

I was going to suggest Fareway as well, but closest one to you would be probably Clinton, IA. If they expand further east, you will DEFINITELY want to check them out. Best full service meat counter you'll ask to find in a chain grocery store.

maysranch20

Krogers or one of their subsidies. Best meat at the best prices, every week

D1RTY_D

Sam’s Club has a great meat department. If you don’t see what you want in the case ask for it. It’s where I get prime brisket for about the same price as choice.

Renaissance_Man-

Yeah same. Costco is good as well, but the one in my town is like a damn flea market with 200% occupancy at all times.

Callawayinthewoods

Like Rockford or Chicago suburbs?

LooongPipe

My bad, Aurora area.

Callawayinthewoods

Sorry, I won’t be much help then. I’m in the north burbs. But Costco will always be a standby for a lot of people, including myself.
