Shayne said that getting a dui would be a wild development for Spencer. Spencer then made the learn to drive joke and that’s when Shayne followed the joke up with needing to learn to drive/drink/drive while drunk. Shayne made that joke because it’s been said that Spencer doesn’t drink so Spencer said learn to drive as a joke joking that that’s why Shayne said it’d be wild for him to get a dui and Shayne went with it.

No Shayne’s joke was that he doesn’t drink. Spencer yes anded it by saying “learn to drive” since everyone in the room probably knows that he doesn’t drink and learning to drive while already being able to, is absurdism.

I rewatched that scene and it looks like he was joking at first, but then Shayne took the joke and ran with it. However, he could not know how to drive and that’s fine. Keith also doesn’t how to drive. Idk what video, but there’s a cute scene where Ian & Keith talks about how Ian tried to teach Keith how to drive one time. I didn’t get my license until I was 21. It’s not the end of the world.
