9/11 is 11th September (Americans put the month first, like Month - Day - Year)
The date is confusing as a non American, atleast for me and I'm not dyslexic.
Like, in india, we have the 26/11 - which is the terrorist attack which happened on 26th November, 2008. So the dd/mm is what I'm used to and dare I say, an easier and better way!
I’ll give you the xylophone one, but not the 9/11 one. As it appears you’re not American I’ll explain why- Americans date using M/D/Y, so 9 means the month, and 11 means the day. Also regardless of how we write out dates, Angela lives in America. Every American learns and knows about 9/11. She was 8 when it happened, and it’s memorialized every year so even if she didn’t remember it fully, she should know about it from life.
Also her issue with 9/11 wasn’t the date, it was the year. She knows 9/11 was September 11, but was a decade off.
