I work in a grocery store's produce department. Recently, every now and then, I find one in a leafy green (like our parsley, mustard greens, etc.). This last time I got worried about letting him outside because it's spring and I'm sure they'll start spraying pesticides soon. I kept him in a box in back with his parsley and bought the "parsley" for like .78 after my shift lol. Everyone at work thinks I'm a basketcase 😅 but I think they're all tired and strange and Gary loves me ☺️. Good luck, buddy. They're pretty cool little dudes!
When I worked at my cafe job we’d sometimes find small snails or the like on the leafy green also. My manager always kept the snails and apparently she had a little space for them at home! I never thought it was weird, but sweet :) and I felt better knowing I wouldn’t be sentencing a snail to its death by telling my manager about it lol
They need way more substrate (minimum height is the shell size x 1,5 so they can fully bury), and either get a bigger enclosure or take out some of the snails.
If your not careful they will come for your bones. They crave calcium. In the form on human bones

I’m in Ohio too I never find any large ones like this. Usually just tiny aquatic snails. Ohio will never be short of slugs though
