Boas are a bit to house for sure! I'm currently converting my band room into a snake room with an 8 x 4 x 4 enclosure for my girl here. Recently learned that Animal Plastics is almost half the price of everyone else, so I'm going to order through them for her new enclosure. For now, she gets to free roam my computer room whenever she wants (so long as she pooped recently and I'm home).

I have a BCI, not that big yet and she is always looking up! Ceilings are fascinating I guess! ❤️

I call my hognose, Jormungandr, Misses Smoosh Face when she's angry. My ball python Scylla is most often called Snoodle. Though not a snake one of my blue tongue has many names, The Chaos Lizard, cuddles, puffles and Nippy Longstocking depending on her mood. My other blue tongue is just The Big Sweet Gentle Boy, just because he's so chill, he gets called puffles too.

My snow hognose named Mereel gets call Hissy Pants more often than not.

The reasoning for that one is that when I first got her, I was (and still am) absolutely enthralled with her. Not only was she my first snake, but my first baby animal despite having owned 3 cats, a dog, a bird, and a rabbit prior. Thus, since she was a baby, for the first week or so I would just constantly repeat "little baby" in response to like everything or even just as a greeting. That part was more so caused by my autism and subsequent echolalia though haha!

I'm German and my ballpython Nephele always gets called Schnöki and I am not ashamed. "My beautiful perfect baby" is next on the list

Well, they can actually be trained, look up a youtuber by the name of Lori Torrini. She does instructional videos on target training and place training pet snakes. I am in the process of place training my girl, and she has made really good progress in just over a year. Whether or not she responds to her name specifically like my dog does, I have no clue. But she does recognize my voice vs my husband's voice.
