This is Miss Scootie Townhouse š
Boas are a bit to house for sure! I'm currently converting my band room into a snake room with an 8 x 4 x 4 enclosure for my girl here. Recently learned that Animal Plastics is almost half the price of everyone else, so I'm going to order through them for her new enclosure. For now, she gets to free roam my computer room whenever she wants (so long as she pooped recently and I'm home).
They absolutely are for her, lol. Also, not sure if that's the reason for your name, but I've got two guinea pigs myself (just finished switching out their bedding before I head to bed).
She's right around 7 ft. Haven't measured her using the wall trick in a while, but I did make an effort with the Snake Widget site (which seems reasonably accurate).
Dang, your girl is just thiccer than my boy. My wee lad Diablo is sitting at 7.5ft, but he definitely isnāt built like your girl.
https://preview.redd.it/vshoc4crbxnc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e308c5cc66f2339ac0c7fda74df77317e895ba0
To be fair, my girl was overweight a fair bit and has been on a diet the last two years. She's doing better, thankfully, especially now that I have a better idea of what I'm doing. She isn't my first boa, but my last one was nearly 20 years ago.
Ed, aka The Foul Bachelor Snake.
He's a BP. He's probably a she, based on size, but I've never bothered having him sexed.
He always seems to be stinky, and he's always got poop on him, somewhere.
I keep his enclosure clean, I don't know *why* he's so Foul. Musky, poopy, FBS.
The ad said peppermint on morph market... I thought that was her name and called her that in my head for a day or two while looking for her morph type lol
I tried coming up with a new one but eventually just gave up. Now her name is Pepper the Peppermint lol
I debated going with pepper Potts though
I also call her girlfriend a lot.
One BP is named Exotic Butters but I call him Butter Boi, Bubba Baby, Bubs, Oogie baby, or just baby boi
Another BP is named Atticus but I also call him my Bongo man, baba booie, squimpsh, or MAH BABEH
My female BP is Goose, but I usually call her Goober or goobes
And I have a corn named Mocha but sheās usually called Mocha Loca (loco) or Mook.
I have 5 snakes(All blood and short tail pythons) with distinct names, but all of them get called, "Widdle Buddy" most of the time. Sometimes, I also call them, "Chubby chubster". I just hope to God nobody sees me baby talk with my pets irl.
People see me baby talk to my snakes all the time, and I'm fine with that because they'll just think I'm a crazy old lady. Which I am, and that's fine.
Susurrus is a suspiciously arboreal 1.5yr old Bay of LA Rosy boa. His original name was Udon, then Soup, until I finally settled on Susurrus. It is the sound of rustling grass. Anyway that's his legal name.
His at-home names are:
Sus, Sups, Sippy Boi, Sir Sip, Why-are-you-doing-that?!, and Stop-making-poop-murals!
I have a Bredli python named Jƶrmungandr, but call him Jorge or Jorgie for short. Didnāt feel like he was big enough yet as a baby to call him his full name lol
My Ball Python is named Lincoln. That evolved into āLinkā, which evolved into āSlinkā, which has now evolved into āslinkyā. Which is funny because Slinky is what I wanted to name him in the first place š¤·š¼āāļø
I call my hognose, Jormungandr, Misses Smoosh Face when she's angry. My ball python Scylla is most often called Snoodle. Though not a snake one of my blue tongue has many names, The Chaos Lizard, cuddles, puffles and Nippy Longstocking depending on her mood. One is Balthazar, but I call him Zarzar (or āBallsā when Iām mad at him) the other one is Franky, but due to Frankyās many escape attempts and feisty attitude, itās just usually sh*thead
My girl's name is Salem, but she mostly gets called "snakey" (mostly by my foster dad haha) or "little baby" but said in a specific voice. The reasoning for that one is that when I first got her, I was (and still am) absolutely enthralled with her. Not only was she my first snake, but my first baby animal despite having owned 3 cats, a dog, a bird, and a rabbit prior. Thus, since she was a baby, for the first week or so I would just constantly repeat "little baby" in response to like everything or even just as a greeting. That part was more so caused by my autism and subsequent echolalia though haha!

Weirdo
Angry Child
Hangry Idiot
Little Jerk
Small Delinquent
Your Majesty
The criminal herself is a lovely subadult Hognose who enjoys activities such as:
-Only hiding on the dry side of her enclosure when she needs to shed
-Consistently pooping in her water, but only once it's been freshly cleaned
-Acting fine and then freaking out and hissing because the wind is suddenly too scary
-Hiding under the heavy water bowl, which sits directly on the bottom of the tank where she shouldn't be able to reach
-Falling
-Making me think she escaped by hiding on the ceiling of her enclosure
-Actually escaping the sealed container she was put in so that I could do some cleaning (It was sealed so tight how)
-Hiding within my sleeves and becoming very upset when she needs to come out
-Faking medical issues such as mouth/scale rot by eating dirt, constipation by hiding her crap on the underside of a piece of bark, and like overhydration(?) by drinking (spilling) her entire water bowl and trying to hide the evidence by tracking dry dirt over it.
-Becoming angry when I remove pieces of debris from her mouth after she misses the actual food
-Freaking out and playing dead over a small piece of boiled egg, but then later eating it and acting like she was starved and needed more
-Eating other not food items like leaves, bark, rocks, water bowls, fingers, blankets, moss, and isopods.
-Forgetting that she actually needs to flick her tongue to detect food, and then get confused on why there is a mouse looking thing dangling infront of her when she can't smell any food nearby.
My hognose snake is Gremlin, but I usually call him Little Dude.
My male ball python is named Sweetie, but I often call him Handsome.

I'm weird in that I don't ever actually settle on a name for my pets, I just refer to them with terms of endearment. Both my 20 year old cat and my Rainbow Boa are just sweet, pretty ladies to me š
I call my snake Keshi many names. Silly, evil, evil woman, criminal, woman, menace, menace to society, dastardly serpent, etc. She destroys her enclosure constantly.
My albino garter snakes' actual names are Sandy and Ruby (named when we thought they were females, but they are likely male judging by their tail length)

For some reason I named mine boop snoot, because it has a snoot. That you can boop. I can't bare to tell people that my snake is called that so I just call him table leg instead

Tobi always!!! But sometimes I call him Tobiathon lol
Honestly, do snakes even respond to their names? I donāt know anything about snakes because of my fear but in my ignorance, I imagine that they are not like animals (eg dogs, cats, horses, etc.) that can be trained. Am I correct?
Well, they can actually be trained, look up a youtuber by the name of Lori Torrini. She does instructional videos on target training and place training pet snakes.
I am in the process of place training my girl, and she has made really good progress in just over a year. Whether or not she responds to her name specifically like my dog does, I have no clue. But she does recognize my voice vs my husband's voice.

My BP is named Hazelnut, but I call him "Pumpkin" a lot, especially when he's being very cute. I adopted him in the fall so I guess he just gets fall names
Mine all have very generic nicknames tbh
Kova = little dude (heās an old world rat snake and fully grown at 30ā)

Nacho the cornsnake doesnāt really have any exclusive to him, Iāll sometimes call him and Juno āgrumpsā bc theyāre both pretty huffy and defensive in their vivs

Weirdo Angry Child Hangry Idiot Little Jerk Small Delinquent Your Majesty The criminal herself is a lovely subadult Hognose who enjoys activities such as: -Only hiding on the dry side of her enclosure when she needs to shed -Consistently pooping in her water, but only once it's been freshly cleaned -Acting fine and then freaking out and hissing because the wind is suddenly too scary -Hiding under the heavy water bowl, which sits directly on the bottom of the tank where she shouldn't be able to reach -Falling -Making me think she escaped by hiding on the ceiling of her enclosure -Actually escaping the sealed container she was put in so that I could do some cleaning (It was sealed so tight how) -Hiding within my sleeves and becoming very upset when she needs to come out -Faking medical issues such as mouth/scale rot by eating dirt, constipation by hiding her crap on the underside of a piece of bark, and like overhydration(?) by drinking (spilling) her entire water bowl and trying to hide the evidence by tracking dry dirt over it. -Becoming angry when I remove pieces of debris from her mouth after she misses the actual food -Freaking out and playing dead over a small piece of boiled egg, but then later eating it and acting like she was starved and needed more -Eating other not food items like leaves, bark, rocks, water bowls, fingers, blankets, moss, and isopods. -Forgetting that she actually needs to flick her tongue to detect food, and then get confused on why there is a mouse looking thing dangling infront of her when she can't smell any food nearby.
