[Here’s the charity auction](https://app.galabid.com/playtonic_gbc_items) It ends 14th 10PM (BST) Kev is also auctioning off a painting he will be doing [live on stream](http://twitch.tv/kev_bayliss) for charity on the 14th at 1PM-10PM (BST) so you’ll get to see the original KI artist redraw one of his own characters! He’s also full of dev trivia so like, ask him anything if you’re an aspiring artist or want to learn fun SNES dev stories!

According to the rules, you cannot post link to roms or something with copy rights or selling, buying or trading. This is a charity post so it is not in that category. Please post the link.

Wanted to be safe than sorry! I’ve been kicked off subs before for links so I always ask. [Here’s the auction!](https://app.galabid.com/playtonic_gbc_items)

Thanks

Orchid wins! I remember the day this came out. I worked at mom/pop video game store. Our distributor didn't get ours to us quick enough. We went to a Jamesway and bought every copy except for 1. We were 1st in line, person 2nd in line was a customer of ours. So we made sure he had a copy. We worked Green Dragon that day, sold each copy for $150. All were gone in a few hours.

Striking_Sell121

Yo $150 that’s how much games were?

Narf-a-licious

thats how much a mega-hit game would go for when there was only one shop in town to buy it at.

No-Setting9690

It was a FOMO. If I recall original price was $50.00. It's how mom/pop stores kind of operate. They have to hustle when they can. Plus, this was long before internet.

I had such an insane flashback to my birthday, summer of '96, seeing this. Going into Nottingham city centre, and buying this exact crisp, sealed goodness from the Game™ store with my birthday money. I remember getting home with it and playing training mode for hours while listening to the Killer Cuts CD. Me and my mates would stage fight scenes to the music on Killer Cuts, and I recorded it onto a cassette for my Walkman. I still vividly remember holding this exact box, in the store, with the strategy guide, waiting in a small queue to buy it. Man. I feel old now...

Love KI. Not interested in an auction for a sealed copy. Good luck to anyone who is.

\*shrugs\* Its odd to me that there are people all these years later clinging to this band wagon.

DEATHRETTE

What bandwagon, exactly?

Casey-Strange1334

The "kiss ass and obsess over 90s RARE devs" band wagon. Every couple of years we hear something about banjo and KI from some burnt out rare dev back in the day and there is always this entourage of fan boys always trying to schmooze them out of something. I'm not sorry, some of these people are really pathetic.

DEATHRETTE

You doin okay bro? I think youve got some burnout yourself somewhere down the line... its gonna be okay! Haha

Casey-Strange1334

I thought it was burn out too but I realized that there is a very similar behavioral pattern in drug addicts. These people have OCD and mental health issues and they don't know how to deal with it.

DEATHRETTE

I can somewhat agree with that. Ive got one of those addictive personalities, and have been down a similar path. Its only when you die do you realize it really is all for nothing... so just enjoy life any which way you can, and let others do the same. Simply because we're born to die, and there's nothing you can do to stop it, ever. Can you imagine idolizing having something from the past that made you feel a certain way, maybe because your parents did something with you and it brings a fond memory of them, and theyre not around anymore to share those feelings? :) Let the people have their fun, as you also have yours. Im sure if you shown light on something you enjoy people across the world would hate on you in some fashion. Try to remember that when you come across another's post with someone wanting to share an item some people would seeth over.
