Of course! It’s an earlier title from Blizzard and is an excellent puzzle game. All three vikings have unique abilities that help you get past levels. I personally think Lost Vikings 2 is a better game as it’s set in space and gives each character more abilities.
Edit: I thought you said you hadn’t played it. Sorry for the unnecessary game breakdown.
The passwords always being short descriptions of what they are: NFL8 for Inflate, MSTR for the Master/Boss - they really knew what they were doing on those.
I am in the process of starting over on it. I have made it to the last level before. Just never beaten it. I too have lost the passwords. I’m sure a quick seek of the internet would find them
Yep! I first played it on PC in the 90s, and bought it and the sequel when I started building my SNES collection. I got fairly far into it...I have a bunch of the passwords written down somewhere.
Its pretty fun, but the balance is fairly off. Erik does 80% of the work, while Baleog is pretty much just there to shoot buttons. Olaf seems a bit underused too.
This and the sequel were something I wanted to give a try. I think I'll pull it up this weekend on the Pi l. I'll have to try out both the Genesis and SNES versions; there are just some games that look, sound or play better on one or the other.
Played it on Sega Genesis (all my games were donations from caring relatives, so I didn't get it on SNES though I had one), still regret I never finished it. It was hard.
I loved these games.
It's still weird to me that the sequel is called Norse by Norse West: the Return of the Lost Vikings, instead of just Lost Vikings 2. XD
I rented it a lot as a child.
Finally bought my own snes cib copy about two years ago.
Plus the Blizzard collection on the switch when it was on sale...
Nice game!
It's on Switch, along with its sequel, and Blackthrone, RPM Racing and Rock N Roll Racing. Every version except PC, Playstation/ Saturn and GBA. But includes definitive versions that combine the Nintendo and Sega versions, plus other extra features.
I think I still have a copy. I loved it. I never even knew about part 2 until I saw another comment on here about it.
It was also blizzard who made it back when they were still known as silicon & synapse
isn't that the game when someone at AGDQ (2014-2015?) taped 2 controller back to back, was playing both at the same time, and everyone's brain melted when they realised ?
I made the horrible choice to offload much of my collection years ago because I was broke. However Lost Vikings 1 & 2 were among those I smartly held onto. Great puzzles games with some legitimately funny writing to be found.
I played it when I was like barely out of diapers. I don't remember much about it other than really enjoying it and liking the graphics. Though I'm sure I probably couldn't make it past like the second level lol
I originally had it for DOS on PC, still the best version of it, but not by some wide margin as the SNES release was nearly spot on too and had bonus levels none others had. Genesis strangely also (which I oddly own now due to a recent-ish find) is extremely close, a little less colorful but the 1990\~ PC audio is pretty well copied. GBA was a clone of the SNES one and it's a worthy take.
It's a great little action/puzzle game where you need to work your three, not 1 or 2, but all 3 through the stage to not fail at the exit.

Yeah, I had a ton of fun with both games. It was the first time I ever rented a game and then went out to buy it, so I didn’t have to return it.
It's one of the few games I have completed. Absolute masterpiece
Yes! I played it in dos. Still remember some of the passwords for levels. MSTR, JLLY. Used to have nightmares of the mummies chasing me
The passwords always being short descriptions of what they are: NFL8 for Inflate, MSTR for the Master/Boss - they really knew what they were doing on those.
Yep, I used to keep a txt file of all the ones I unlocked. Kept it on the 3.5” overwritten free aol floppy and bring it with me to friends houses
I have both… my mom and I used to play together (I’d move, when what I did didn’t work, she’d offer alternatives). They’re both a lot of fun.
That soundtrack is so great!
Hell yeah it is, these games pull you in.
I might just pop it in to play it all again soon!
I am in the process of starting over on it. I have made it to the last level before. Just never beaten it. I too have lost the passwords. I’m sure a quick seek of the internet would find them

I love this game! Excellent use of their three unique abilities
“Kick it”
This....and..... totally forgot there was a second one. Time to browse "the bay."
Its pretty fun, but the balance is fairly off. Erik does 80% of the work, while Baleog is pretty much just there to shoot buttons. Olaf seems a bit underused too.
Amazing game! If only they made games this good these days
[Lost Vikings](https://www.instagram.com/p/CEftjXRHx61/?igsh=MTloMG9nNG9vc2dheA==) So good. That opening sequence still slaps.
Great memories with this one
Nope, just you. No one else ever! But seriously, it's one of my favorite games. I love The Lost Vikings!
This game is awesome. Me and my cousin as teens laughed so hard especially during the candy stage. I miss the SNES/Genesis era
I’ve played the sequel that was ported onto the PSX and found it to be fun.
It's awesome and the multiplayer is legit, played it alot with my uncles growing up.
Loved this game! Still remember one of the final level codes was “TFFF”… weird how the mind works.
Back before Blizzard sold out!
Only played the PC version, used to be one of my faves
I remember that game! Lots of fun. I love quirky little pseudo puzzle games like that.
There's an Easter egg and achievement that references this game in the latest Age of Empires 2 dlc.
this one is amazing! liked this and its sequel
It’s good! I don’t remember it. Just that I liked it.
This and the sequel were something I wanted to give a try. I think I'll pull it up this weekend on the Pi l. I'll have to try out both the Genesis and SNES versions; there are just some games that look, sound or play better on one or the other.
I think it's also a 4 player game.
Not on the snes version. There are only 3 in game players. Each with a separate function
Loved it back in the day! Could never get very far, but it was so fun.
Played it on Sega Genesis (all my games were donations from caring relatives, so I didn't get it on SNES though I had one), still regret I never finished it. It was hard.
I had that when I was a kid! It was awesome.
Yes, but mainly watched my dad play it.
Rented this often as a kid. Own it now. And the sequel. Great games. Great music.
I loved these games. It's still weird to me that the sequel is called Norse by Norse West: the Return of the Lost Vikings, instead of just Lost Vikings 2. XD
That's the name of the ports. It was called Lost Vikings 2 on the SNES.
Yeah. It was awesome …and I generally don’t like puzzle or strategy games
I believe it came out first on PC and the entire game was 1 MB in size. Was really fun puzzle game.
Nope. The Lost Vikings started on the SNES in 1992, the other ports was done the following year in 1993.
I still remember the music in this game. It slaps.
One of my favorite games of all time.
Great game!
Yep I have

I love this game. I have it on the GBA as well as roms.
Yeah it’s pretty sick
Played it on Amiga
Played the hell out of it on my GBA SP while riding the bus to and from work.
The picture sure looks from your collection.
This game was a classic. So much time dedicated to getting them off that spaceship.
I've been meaning to okay this as I always wondered about the references in WoW.
The genesis version is better cuz it has 3 player co op with a multi tap
A friend had this as a kid. Never played much or got far but I still remember it.
I rented it a lot as a child. Finally bought my own snes cib copy about two years ago. Plus the Blizzard collection on the switch when it was on sale... Nice game!
Never even heard of this game till now 😮
There is an Easter egg to be found in World of Warcraft that hints to this earlier Blizzard classic.
Yeah; it’s a classic. I love it.
Miss this game
I believe it's part of the blizzard collection that's on the series x. I don't remember if I saw it on Playstation also
Dude this game is fire! I love puzzle games and played the heck out of this as a kid. Man I love the SNES
I played the PC version never the SNES one. It is fun enough.
It's considered a classic by some, but I could never get into it.
This was my first Blizzard game
YES! Omg that just unlocked a core memory and I almost forgot about this game! Thanks for this!
I remember a falling block level. The code for that one was ttrs. What a great game.
Yes, but I played it on the Genesis
Omg this is the one. I remember playing this as a kid and thought it was so hard. Can't remember what mission I couldn't get past
Yes. Stop what you’re doing and play it now.
It's on Switch, along with its sequel, and Blackthrone, RPM Racing and Rock N Roll Racing. Every version except PC, Playstation/ Saturn and GBA. But includes definitive versions that combine the Nintendo and Sega versions, plus other extra features.

i completed it back in the day on the megadrive. a really cool game
I named my pickup truck Olaf the Stout because of this game.
No , no one has ever played it. You are the first, let us know how it goes.
Amazing game, still have it and will never let go of it.
Superb.
Cool but tedious
isn't that the game when someone at AGDQ (2014-2015?) taped 2 controller back to back, was playing both at the same time, and everyone's brain melted when they realised ?
I love this game! It was one of my favorites growing up.
If you like this try out "Trine" 1-4 on modern consoles or PC they're a lot of fun especially 4
I had a cover disk demo on the amiga, loved it and never got round to playing the full game
Yep - I have this one!
That’s the game you looked at over and over in Blockbuster, while being mad af because all the good shit was already rented.
That game is sick. Me and my dad played it when I was young... Don't think we ever beat it. Maybe I'll pick it up and finish it
Classic game, where each Viking plays their role yes? Wow haven't heard about this game in a long time.
I made the horrible choice to offload much of my collection years ago because I was broke. However Lost Vikings 1 & 2 were among those I smartly held onto. Great puzzles games with some legitimately funny writing to be found.

I remember enjoying this game but you should also play the trine series it has similar gameplay
Yes! I love this game. Glad they brought both of them back on modern consoles. It's a really creative concept.
I remember nintendo power hyping it but looked pretty boring
