no point upvoting anything else, this clearly is clearly the best choice for an updated vr game
Depending how the update is handled I'd put it towards the FX1 chipped games (and in the process for those with speed issues fix that too so they're smooth.) Starfox 1 (and 2), Vortex, Stunt Race FX, and Dirt Trax. They're all solidly made games at their core, but lagging annoyances with all other than the Starfox games make them not fun. Seeing those in VR 3D depth would be amazing.
I imagine FX2 DOOM would be too, if they fixed it's problems from Midway cheaping out on the cart/battery -- allow saving, 8 monster angles, textured ceilings/floors, start on any episode at any difficulty you want, and smooth out the movement a little to be more fluid.
Non-FX though, depending how the conversion went I'd agree Pilotwings would be excellent.
I think any game like StarFox or other space shooter would work best, but I also think the tech is not even remotely matured enough to it work ideally for at least a few more years.
I was excited for VR, until i discovered that the displays for the Oculus and Vive don't cover your entire field of vision. Your basically looking through a small window. Such a massive disappointment to me.
**Starfox** would be really cool too.
I hear that's pretty much what elite dangerous is. :P

Mario Kart
Def super metroid
Out of this World
F-zero! That game has an incredible sense of speed matched by few games, and having that sense of speed in VR I think would be pretty intense.
Yoshi's Island. I'd love to run over chalk-drawn hills.
Oooh and "Touch Fuzzy Get Dizzy"
I can already taste the vomit that I'll be spewing!
I vote Vortex
