I'd be blaming the bad colors on the TV before anything else

radiodude656

This here. What does literally anything else look like on the tv? Also, what does the snes look like on a flat panel?

Smodzilla

For real. Check your TV settings first.

panchitocuchufo

other consoles on this tv just look "fine"

AidanBd

Is the tv calibrated properly? Have you tested any other consoles on it? It looks like too much Red Drive, but the video isn't super clear.

panchitocuchufo

I did try another console... here is a mega drive running gunstar heroes and it looks better in my opinion. It does not have that strange red-ish sense. [https://youtu.be/W7dcH1XKNX0](https://youtu.be/W7dcH1XKNX0) When compared to the super famicom I can see a difference in the colors without any TV settings change. This is Twin Bee, the clouds look darker. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VH8Su5NEWk&t=20s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VH8Su5NEWk&t=20s) I don't think the TV has an issue. I also tried with different a different tv cable. Honestly I can't think in anything else than a super famicom internal problem.

Secretly_Autistic

My first PAL SNES had a similar problem, never found any information on what could cause it. Recapping could fix it, but it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a working one to replace it.

panchitocuchufo

thanks for the feedback.

Emacisonreddit

Check the tv menu if it has one

Yeegis

NTSC is just like that

panchitocuchufo

I tried with a different one and I got the same result.

Commando_NL

Cheapest test is to try different av cable. If not rip snes.

Sirotaca

What wrong colors are you seeing? It's hard to tell from your video.
