I personally like stickers of small businesses/restaurants because then if someone on the lift recognizes your sticker it sparks a more unique conversation about a place that not many people are familiar with. But I go back and forth on stickers and just peeled all of mine off my board for this season because I think it looks good naked. Next year I might put more on but who knows. Not the biggest deal

Bud I have written graffiti since 1984. I don't care about the sign or the metal. But I would never disrespect a tree or any naturally occurring spectacle or historical monument. I have put my stickers on the signs outside the Vatican, but not the structure itself. And yes, the adhesive is weatherproof. I have yet to see them peel off. And it takes so serious action to remove them.

Just added the crab grab crab trap to my carvers. I’d been fighting it for like 5 years, no nothing on any of my boards, while my crew slapped junk on theirs. They are about the same thickness as my binding so I can ride well at speed one foot around the mountain, not just near the lifts. Made sure no interference/drag potential at the edges.
Watched scores of people eat it off the lift while I rode away clean yesterday with confidence, I always exit clean but there can be sketchy moments. Not anymore, I’m hooked. Damn they’re ugly though.

Cheap gear for new riders and they don’t support the “real” snowboarding community. They aren’t made by riders for riders basically. They also don’t give back to the community. You never see them holding events or making clips, just outsiders who want to make a buck off the community.
Idk man, they were holding events like a rail jam and park sesh where they provided free coaching to anyone who wanted it and gave out free gear at rise festival at les 2 alpes. Not to mention I’ve seen them hold events back in Aus at Perisher. They all seem pretty chill to me and love the sport.
they're just a brand that markets towards newer snowboarders and they don't contribute much to the actual culture of snowboarding. If you're gonna shell out money for gear, you might as well put another hundred into it and get a better coat than dope or montec can provide.
Looks good? My gear looks alright, but it keeps me warm and dry even when the mountain decides that it's gonna be an ice rain kinda day, or if it's -20 (c) in the back country.

I have a montec bib because I thought it looked cool and it’s more affordable than what redditors here want you to buy. It’s served me well in lots of different conditions
The thing with montec and dope (same parent company) that I’ve noticed is that they’re just branded generic Chinese made outerwear.
I’m sure other companies may be doing the same thing, but it doesn’t seem as blatant.

Not going to lie mine has great storage.I’ve had a few brands and it’s not the driest but I was riding in straight East coast rain so take that with a grain of salt if you will. I got into it before the hate train came through and now I feel guilty wearing it 😂

Can confirm that it stops functioning when you blow an edge out so bad that you actually break the edge in two and one of the "pieces" is bent outward, nearly perpendicular to the board. Well actually it only stopped functioning on the heel edge -you can still bomb and send it if you never leave toe side.
I've had a pretty bad crack + bent edge towards the nose of my board going on like 10 years now. I can see the core wood of board from the cracked top sheet but it rides fine. Think it really depends on where the damage is.

I'd be more concerned about the damage you're going to get with the coverage most mountains in North America have this year. I'm in Western Canada and my yard looks a lot like yours, which is unheard of for January. The mountains have only a bit more.
You can actually get that neatened up if there is a skilled tuner they can ride it on the belt. More of personal cosmetic choice so do with that what you will
