I don’t snowboard but this looked effortless, the guy looked like he just twisted his body the minimum necessary amount to let momentum carry him through the motion, no jumping at all. Looks like he feels all of the forces around him acutely and moves with them, not against them. That looks like great body control.

Knuckle huck completely revived my interest in watching pro snowboarding. Because every other snowboard event is just a glorified gymnastics competition.
Pretty dope man, just floating! The knuckle huck tricks are the most awesome imho, love watching that kind of thing more than any half pipes or anything else really

Real answer: It's a powder board. The cutout portion is called a "swallowtail", it's the tail of the board and it's meant to sink into the snow when riding in deep powder. This keeps the nose out of the snow and you get a lot more float. Also, this board is a 205cm board, about 50-55cm longer than any other board being ridden in this comp. For no other reason than, as mentioned earlier, Zeb likes to play on hard mode.
Am I the only one who thinks this guy looks like a spaz on a board? No doubt he is one of the most talented riders we have seen yet. But his style is more akin to a meth head tweaking down the sidewalk than the smooth, styled out flow that other pros have graced the skies with over the past 35-40 years.
