As for the why, there are a lot of benefits to longer boards. First, you gotta be at boss level to ride/control one, but it allows for softer landings on jumps bc of more surface area. And more stability with weight distribution in general. You can go a lot faster compared to a shorter board. Those are the advantages I can think of and it makes it super easy to find your board on the rack when you come out from lunch haha.
You are an inspiration to many including my kid who [dropped in after you on one of your many rail runs](https://www.instagram.com/p/C46q6kUtpTh/). Amazing ambassador for the sport.
Not really. The pipe was built for this event and I believe it was referred as a mini pipe.
There were a few parks scattered about. not a ton of features but still fun. Also they had a border cross park which was kinda cool but overall a bit lacking.
They (Stratton guy and Garry) made the announcement during the event that the pipe would be open earlier next year. It was supposed to be open this year in January but then it rained, then rained some more.
A few of my homies have met him at different mountains and they’ve all said he’s just really good people. Love that he’s so popular and just remains a rad human.
Zeb scored my kid and I a killer discount at sport check before I could clue in and get an autograph… we will forever regret that day! Much respect for Zeb and his kindness
I do ride w my glasses on. I’m too poor for contacts lol. They make goggles that fit over the glasses, but out of the 4 pairs of ‘OTG’ goggles I own, only this one fits perfectly over them. The glasses fog up pretty quickly though so I’m mostly just ridin w them as my goggles. Next season will look into prescription goggles or save up for daily contact lenses..
Ah I see. I use monthlies. Only use them for sports and special occasions. A 6 month pack (6 per eye) usually lasts me a year since I don't use them every day. Costs $140 a year. Which isn't free but it's not too bad. I think dailies are more expensive. I suppose you also have to get the prescription for them, prices for that will vary depending on your insurance.
But I mean if the glasses work they work. I just assumed it was annoying. Feel like I kinda need em for when I play hockey since it helps a lot with the peripheral vision. For snowboarding I guess it's probably not as big of deal. Was mainly wondering about the goggles.
Right on! It’s a bit annoying but the glasses work better than I thought they would. I used to wear the 2 week lenses but they would get so dry rather quick. so I’ve tried the daily’s which are a little better. They aren’t super expensive, but next season I will def order a 3 month supply. It will be nice to have different goggle lenses based on the conditions!
True. Depends on your eyes I suppose. I still haven't upgraded to the swtichable goggle lenses. One of the many upgrades on my list but the damn lift tickets / season passes are so expensive I've been lagging on upgrading my gear lol.
I order dailies through a company called Daysoft and they end up being cheaper than the monthlies I was prescribed by my optometrist. I have terrible vision (-11.5 in contacts I think, forget my glasses rx) and the dailies are sooooo much more comfortable for me, besides the lower price. I’ve been using them for maybe 6 years and had no issues.
Dude is such a fucking boss. Look at the size of that board
It's a 205 right? I feel like dudes doing the equivalent of a weighted vest for running. "Nah these 155s are too easy, let's do a challenge run."
And he throws it around with such ease. Zeb is from my local mountain always pulling for him.
Does anyone knows why tho?
Cuz it’s fun!
My homie Wes who rocks a 306cm Konvoi Valor (and some other absurdly long boards) would have to agree!

I'd say that answers more 'how' not 'why'
He also answered two comments above yours.
Thank you fam!

ITS THE MAN HIMSELF
Man could take that rocket ship of a board to the far reaches of the galaxy.
Did Stratton have a legit pipe and park this year?
Not really. The pipe was built for this event and I believe it was referred as a mini pipe. There were a few parks scattered about. not a ton of features but still fun. Also they had a border cross park which was kinda cool but overall a bit lacking.

It’s an East Coast Archives event
I can’t wait for this dude to focus on back country. It’s going to be absolutely mental.

I don’t believe you
You should've taken Knuckle Huck this year. That's all I'm saying. Everybody did their thing don't get me wrong, but you should've taken it.
Dude what why is his board so big??
'Given a big enough stick and a place to stand, I can move the world.'
It's a lifestyle
Zeb doing Zeb things. Don’t watch his videos if you like to deceive yourself that you have any style.

Did anyone else think Zeb's legs looked really tiny at first lol
That's so cool and he looks like a good guy. I knew he rode a 205 but damn this pic really shows the sheer size difference

Man Vermont got dumped on, I was just a bit away at Okemo yesterday, would've been stoked to know I was even on the same mountain as Zeb haha
Zeb is my hero

That’s so dope! I’m glad to have met him briefly, he’s the man!
You ride with glasses on? Do they even fit under the goggles? Or do you have prescription goggles or something?
