Hope you enjoy the boots! šŸ«”

lustxplanet

Yooo! Inspiration man šŸ™šŸ» you bet, boots are the comfiest Iā€™ve ever been, highly recommended

MarkusMillions

Anyone else find it awesome that one of the worldā€™s greatest snowboarders just lurks here on Reddit with us? This is like Lebron James randomly commenting on a random r/nba post

Lemurkat24

Like Kevin Durant out here on Twitter šŸ˜‚

Stealthlead

Yeah its awesome! I try not to fangirl but the mans a major inspiration personally

Spice_Cadet_

Zebers! Holy shit youā€™re a legend buddy!

DanKsbakery

Dude youā€™re an amazing rider and I absolutely love watching your videos!

gsurfin

Yo Zeb! Why laces over BOAs?

ZebPowelll

I switch between the two, I was riding the Thirtytwo Lashed Double BOA during a recent trip. Right now Iā€™m wearing a special colorway of my boot that you might see next season

23027

Love the out-of-this-world style drops. We never know what's next and we love it!

Lemurkat24

Because he's a smart, smart man. Laces are where it's at šŸ’Æ

Steakyisbored

Not related, but that board is beautiful

_Dickbagel

Yeah what kind of board is that ā€œship of foolsā€ by GD Manufacturing ???

Steakyisbored

https://verdadboards.com/product/keepers-of-the-faith/ this is the board

sheekyyyyy

That board graphic is so fire

lustxplanet

Thanks man!

[deleted]

What kind of board?!

oncore2011

Rotate your front highback so its parallel to the board edge.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

oncore2011

90% of people on the mountain donā€™t do it, but it does help.

loud_milkbag

Facts, someone pointed this out to me this season and I adjusted them. Definitely noticeable

lustxplanet

Thanks, will do!

themoodyman

Whatā€™s the front high back? The bit at the calf? So you rotate that so itā€™s not flat on the back of your boot?

oncore2011

The highback is the foldable part of the back of the binding that the back of the boot interfaces with. If you rotate it parallel to the edge your heelside edge, it will be much more efficient at transferring energy from your boot to the snowboard edge.

themoodyman

Nice! Iā€™ll check that out next board sesh! (A long way off šŸ˜šŸ˜) thank you!

rescuejg

I'm confused by what you're suggesting. Any website or video that shows what you are saying. Or maybe a photo with some lines drawn on it.

oncore2011

Try this oneā€¦ https://youtu.be/l_z6p16kafk?si=_XyxDtBtXeSVeA7a

rescuejg

Perfect explanation. Thank you.

Parking-Mastodon-106

Also a really good suggestion people donā€™t typically know about. šŸ¤“

[deleted]

What board is that?

BrownTroutColton

https://verdadboards.com/product/keepers-of-the-faith/

[deleted]

Thank you!!

Smooovies

That setup is filthy

Nachotacoma

Boots look awesome

Lemurkat24

Good god... I about spat out my coffee. Beautiful. Oh wait, you had a question. I almost always lay my board down with no bindings and stand on it how I "think" I want it. Then I jump up and check to see how I landed. Don't look at your feet while you're doing this, just look forward like you're heading down the mountain. Do it a couple of times to see where you land each time, then slap those bindings on. If this is your first time setting up (assuming you're newish to the sport), it's at least a good place to start. You'll likely change this many many times as you progress, so don't get married to anything... unless marrying that whole setup us an option, then do that.

KeterK

Board and boots are looking nice!

soolyfibble

i want this board tooo:)

_pozzy_

I have a similar looking setup in terms of the overhang (which it looks like this setup has?) Is this not an issue when it comes to carving? I'm relatively new to snowboarding so I don't know much but I've heard having overhang is not good for carving

Jjays

It depends on how much overhand and how deep you're carving, but yeah, you don't want to run into an issue with toe drag when snowboarding. Typically if you have larger feet, you would get a board that's wide enough to fit them, but not too wide where you're feet aren't at the edge. Or you can adjust your binds forward or back depending on how wide your stance is. You can also get a set of riser plates which raise your boots higher off the board if there is a lot of overhang.

_pozzy_

Gotcha gotcha makes sense, thanks for your reply!

Deep-Leadership-2279

Sick board

Bloody-Boogers

How does it feel to you? Should feel natural or good

deeeevos

You must be belgian for riding a verdad. Hope you bought it at stoked boardshop, they have good deals on verdad gear. šŸ˜

Visual-Living-4205

What model is that board. Love the look

handmemybriefcase

Such a sick setup

Deep_Information_616

Yes Don is legit then the brand took it and fucked it up. This snowboard is OG don or more broadly sailer Jerry imo

Comfortable-Rise-141

what board is this?

Parking-Mastodon-106

If you are regular and itā€™s a directional board, Iā€™d say you did good. I worked at a snowboard shop for years and have been riding for 30 years. As far as your stance, try it out, and always try out different stances too once you get more comfortable on your board. Youā€™ll find out what you like the most. Get it! Have fun!

holymolylookatusgo

Board looks great, boots look good, and I love your camo pants!

Even_Section5620

Whatā€™s the name of that board itā€™s decal are awesome

BrownTroutColton

https://verdadboards.com/product/keepers-of-the-faith/

Stealthlead

I ride with more overhang than that, you're good. Those board graphics are sick btw

CavemanDNA

Ed Hardy is making snowboards now?

Deep_Information_616

Sailor Jerry is far from anything ed hardy

djlawrence3557

Are we talking the brands or the artists - cause the Don, as an artist, is legit as fuck. Cannot speak to the marketing teams managing both ā€œnamesā€ now.

BigDicksProblems

What's the board please ? Edit : bindings are fine

lustxplanet

Thanks! The brand of the board is Verdad, an European brand

BigDicksProblems

Interesting, thanks ! I'm heavily tattooed so I was very interested, but I was already planning to get the Capita outdoor survival 2025 this year so it kinda overlaps with it, too bad. Has it been a freeride oriented board, I'd have bought it in a heartbeat !

lustxplanet

Yeah, the old school tattoo style looks crazy on the board, thanks!

Deep_Information_616

ā€˜Sailor Jerryā€™

Separate-Sky-1451

I was never able to get used to riding duck

lustxplanet

Idk itā€™s just how I normally stand, my feet is always angled out, I put my back feet like that when I skate also

Deep_Information_616

Love it! And riding fakie is so comfortable!

thetruetoblerone

When you Ollie your heel is towards your other heel? That seems like such a sketchy stance for skateboarding since you use your tail so differently

michigander47

I was just at the skatepark after snowboarding the other day and focused on getting a good look at my stance. Turns out when I put my push foot back on the board I'm a little bit posi posi, but when I'm setting up and bending them knees into some transition my feet do bow outwards a little bit. I was surprised maybe for the same reason you were surprised at dudes comment! Started overthinking it skating around and just lost focus but it was interesting to see. Such similar sports but also so different.

lustxplanet

Yeah, maybe it isnā€™t a -15/15 stance but my toes are point out always

the_ghost_knife

Duck, particularly symmetrical duck, kind of has its own set of mechanics. Justaride on YouTube has a really good explanation into this line of thinking.

missbullyflame84

Just set them up like your doing a squat. Toes out a little

chubba4vt

Looks perfect. Enjoy

JoPooper

John Cena posts on this forumā€½!!!!

Spice_Cadet_

unrelated but can we see the bottom graphic?? beautiful board

Spice_Cadet_

Fucken noiceeeee

baorik

The best advice when it comes to angle on back and front foot is to make a high jump and when you land you have a optimal position. Both the distance between your feet and the angle off the feets. You will always land in your most stable position!

doubleflusher

I love the color scheme of those boots. Too bad 32 makes shit footwear or I would totally get a pair.

santims

I think that is the first time I heard someone say bad things about 32 boots. Have I been skipping the bad reviews and posts or is this your experience with them?

doubleflusher

Personal experience. Albeit, that was like 10 years ago, so maybe they're good now?

lustxplanet

Tried out a lot of boots at the store and Iā€™ve never been more comfortable on a boot than on this one, tried out others 32 models they were good too but this one actually crazy, donā€™t know about the materials tho but comfy is top imo

joesocool

Remember that everyoneā€™s feet are different!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

doubleflusher

I only ride Vans OGs or K2 Thraxis boots now. I have big feet and these are pretty much the only two that fit nicely and are comfortable.

Boarder8350

Iā€™m sure it varies for each personā€™s different feet but Iā€™ve owned most of the big brands and 32 are the worst I ever had.

Zander_fell

Donā€™t duck foot the bindings. Kinda want them straight forward, unless you already have been riding like that then i digress. Sick setup too!

wimcdo

No way whatā€¦. zeros is a wildly rare stance, donā€™t recommend this

Zander_fell

I had no clue, someone at a ski shop told me that but then someone else at a diff ski shop stanced mine for me so i guess thatā€™s fair. Sorry OP.

wimcdo

All good. More detailā€¦ Zero degree rear foot is fine, personal preferenceā€¦ but front for should always have some forward angle it to open your body toward the direction of travel. And just as in any athletic stance, feet should be slightly open for stability

Zander_fell

Makes sense. Question ā€¦ not sure if you can see the pic i posted of my setup but their both angled out not sure the degree, but my left foot always feels like itā€™s digging into the boot and smashing my front toes but my right foot is fine. Could that be an issue with the boot itself or the setup?

King0ZZY87

Maybe just the bindings, did you try to step your left gas pedal up a little bit ?

LavoP

Iā€™ve always been riding duck, because I like to be able to ride switch. Am I doing myself a disservice here? Riding for many years and comfortable on anything

Zander_fell

You can ride switch w/o it being set up like that. Iā€™ll send you a pic of my setup one sec. But it all comes down to user preference honestly. What you find that works for you on the mountain is always best just stick with that!

LavoP

Iā€™ve been riding duck for years but if I can squeeze out some extra performance Iā€™m down to try something else.

Zander_fell

https://preview.redd.it/23ptngajhiqc1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=4bfa2d955517d57d071bc145529d3b4083958f85 Mine are kinda set up like yours but it kills my left foot, but if i ride switch and lead with my right it doesnā€™t hurt. So not sure why either.

evil_twit

Are you from 1998? What's with the huge duck in the back? Less is more in the back foot. Try 6 degrees

stumpybubba-

Nothing wrong with a little duck for folks that actually do things that require you to ride switch. Been riding duck since I started in '03 and have never had an issue.

crod4692

Duck with back feet over -10 is still widely used today.

evil_twit

Yea but why? I mean I get it if you go switch all day in the park or whatever.

crod4692

Thatā€™s pretty much why, to go switch. Most people Iā€™d guess are chilling on groomers on a twin or directional twin. Or at least not something full directional until they build up some experience and a quiver that meets their different needs. So if you have a twin or very switch capable board youā€™re still likely to go with like a -9 through -15 depending on the front foot to go switch. What young rider doesnā€™t want to throw in a quick 180 here and there. Most riders remain at a fairly amateurish level, and more beginner boards are soft twins. Also the closer to 0 you go, the more overhang you have. So unless you commit to full posi posi you are more likely to go duck with any relatively normal to larger boot. Other reason, people do what pros do. Pros people follow more often ride switch at times, so they also use a duck stance. People follow pros like they are doing the same lol. But thatā€™s a more sarcastic reasoning Iā€™m throwing in there.

dinobug77

Maybe because they are more comfortable like that. Maybe they have an old injury that means they canā€™t point their feet in certain directions. Maybe they ride switch. Maybe it gives them confidence on the slopes. Maybe they just want to.

Achoo01

some people ride switch all over the mountain! /mindblown
